At the same time law student Mara shows up in town, and Ian knows she\u2019s destined to be his mate.<\/p>\n When a rival pack lays claim to Mara, Ian and his brothers will stop at nothing to protect her.<\/p>\n *New Adult Paranormal Romance*<\/p>\n Goodreads<\/a><\/p>\n Amazon<\/a><\/p>\n I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n *Clapping* Well played Alyssa , WWWEEELLLLL PLAYED!!!\u00a0 That right there was what I essentially screamed after throwing my kindle and dropping some major cuss bombs.<\/p>\n As with any story from this amazing author we get to stay connected to \u201cthe Society\u201d.\u00a0 The character are all under the rule of King Levi who isn\u2019t mentioned much but he is there .<\/p>\n Our alpha\u2026like real bear alpha is Ian.\u00a0 He comes home to find his alpha murdered so he is the new alpha who is looking to find out what happened to his brother.\u00a0 When he is at the funeral he sees a beautiful girl there.\u00a0 He figures she has something to do with his brother\u2019s death so he is concerned and interested at the same time.<\/p>\n Mara is sad and alone.\u00a0 She has lost her entire family.\u00a0 She is working for a family friend who has left town and left her alone.\u00a0 She likes to visit funerals of people who have no family because like her grandpa taught her \u201cno one should be alone the day they are buried\u201d.\u00a0 She sees Ian but thinks she is imagining him.<\/p>\n Ian\u2019s interest if peaked and after getting to know Mara, thanks to her meddling landlord, they get to spend a lot of time together.\u00a0 Ian cannot deny his need for her and his desire to mate and claim her as his.\u00a0 Before he can do any of that he has to tell her his \u201ctruths\u201d about what he is. \u00a0Mara can\u2019t believe how she is so relaxed and carefree with Ian and then freaks out at how she acts when she is away from him.\u00a0 She can\u2019t help the draw she feels for him either but keeps denying it too.<\/p>\n When the plot EXPLOSION happens and he finds out about Mara and her family plus the bad place they left her with the bad guys\u2026.WOW but then\u2026\u2026we meet\u2026\u2026. the guy in the suit\u2026\u2026all I can say is EPIC!<\/p>\n If you are a fan of all of her Chronicle books, you will love the this new series and all it has to offer.<\/p>\n Alyssa Rose Ivy is the bestselling author of more than twenty novels with over half a million books sold worldwide.
