I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

This is true love, the ups downs curve balls and what you do when things don\u2019t go the way you plan. You never know where your life will lead you or who it will lead you to. Only question is do you accept it and go with it or do you try to force a path you think is your tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Carly Lincoln has been working to climb to the top at her career. Love and family always came second to her job that she loved and always put first. Even gave up her happily ever after at one time to continue to work and travel. Then while traveling for work she meets Bryant Garrity.<\/p>\n

Bryant is the quarterback for the Chicago NFL team and is on vacation recovering from a knee injury when he meets Carly. Like Carly Bryant doesn\u2019t have time for relationships only has one thing on his mind his job getting back to 100% and getting a super bowl ring. But meeting Carly may change that. Can he keep her out of the media and keep his life private or will everything they are going through end up on the front page.<\/p>\n

I loved Carly and Bryant\u2019s chemistry but I had tears in my eyes finding out Carly\u2019s back story and then when I saw how Bryant supported Carly when her world was changing before her eyes. Carly\u2019s family was amazing from her sisters, mom and nephew god you got to love that kid. I also had a soft spot for Bryant\u2019s friends and teammates especially. My heart went out to Carly and Bryant seeing everything they went through. I absolutely loved the epilogue seeing what they went through and how each family came out on the other side.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

His citrusy, musky cologne alerts me to his presence first. Probably some expensive brand that I\u2019ve never heard of, but damn if it\u2019s not like honey to a bear, and I\u2019m the bear.<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201cSo, we meet again,\u201d he says, stopping next to me at the end of the plank.<\/p>\n

The scent of his cologne intensifies, pouring that honey into buckets.<\/p>\n

I glance over, and his eyes are solely on me. That damn grin is splashed on his lips.<\/p>\n

\u201cDon\u2019t worry. I left my weapon in the room.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAnd your gray sweatshirt, I see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Too bad he replaced it with a nice pair of slacks and a polo shirt. The blue in his shirt only causes his aqua eyes to become more vibrant and alluring.<\/p>\n

He leans close to my ear, and my breathing hiccups quickly. \u201cNFL quarterback by day, abductor at night.\u201d<\/p>\n

I square my shoulders, turning my eyes directly at him. \u201cI\u2019m sorry, okay? But what did you expect a woman to assume? It was dark, and you were some random guy sitting alone on a beach, trying to hide your face. That bubbling personality of yours wasn\u2019t exactly exuding when I walked by.\u201d<\/p>\n

I cross my arms over my chest, and his eyes focus on my pushed up breasts.<\/p>\n

\u201cI suppose I see your point.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cPlus, you\u2019re a big guy, and I think you could have handled me pretty easily,\u201d I add.<\/p>\n

That damn smirk grows. \u201cSo, the thought of us together crossed your mind, too?\u201d<\/p>\n

My face instantly heats. \u201cI meant, you pinning me to the ground.\u201d Once the words leave my mouth, I wish I could grab them back, but he\u2019s too quick.<\/p>\n

His eyes flash with excitement, and he widens his stance.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat?\u201d I ask out of pure annoyance to the fluster this man brings out of me.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just waiting,\u201d he says with his classic flirtatious tone.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor what?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cTo hear how you wish last night would have turned out.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUgh. You\u2019re impossible. A typical pro athlete who believes every girl is for your taking.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just going along with what you\u2019ve been telling me.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s just get through this dinner. Then, you can go to the pool bar and use your charm to pick up a random girl for the night.\u201d<\/p>\n

He chuckles that hearty laugh, rolling back on his heels. \u201cYou\u2019re one of those then?\u201d He purses his lips and nods, as though he has me all figured out.<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of who?\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe girl who acts like she\u2019d never resort to sleeping with a pro athlete.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cFirst off, I\u2019m a woman, not a girl.\u201d<\/p>\n

My arms clamp tighter together, and again, his vision dips to my breasts.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy apologies. You\u2019re definitely a woman.\u201d The side of his lips tip up as he glances down once more.<\/p>\n

I let my arms fall, and his eyes float back to my eyes.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not playing a game, Mr. Garrity. I assure you, I don\u2019t want you for a night or ever.\u201d<\/p>\n

He steps closer, and my heartbeat speeds up, but I stand my ground, meeting his eyes and trying everything in my power to be unfazed by his nearness.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
