I grabbed this book off Amazon when I saw it was free but pre-orderd the whole series as well.<\/p>\n

Holy Moly!!\u00a0 Guy\u2026.puuuurrrrrrr\u2026..can I get a Texan like that to be my pretend boyfriend?\u00a0 I mean I know Lyssa you said I would want to lick Carmine buuuut dayum was Guy delicious.<\/p>\n

Ok so the rest of you prolly wanna know what in the heck I am talking about right?? \u00a0Frankie is the youngest of Italian siblings.\u00a0 She wants her trust fund to buy a business but Papa is not about to give her a dime of the money.\u00a0 It seems Papa is old school and wants her married, preggo, and working in the family restaurant not being a fashion designer. \u00a0BOOOO PAPA!!<\/p>\n

Guy is returning from his last tour in the Army. \u00a0He is dreading returning home because he has a mess to take care of when one of his platoon buddies offers him a night of fun at a night club.\u00a0 Guy not in any hurry to go, stay and meets our Frankie.\u00a0 The two are attracted to each other and hash out this plan. She is using him to get her money and he is using her to stay away for his responsibilities.<\/p>\n

As the two are forced to spend time together, you can see the longing annnnd the lust.\u00a0 Not gonna lie\u2026lust\u2026lots and lots of lust happening there!!\u00a0 J\u00a0 When the time arrives and Frankie is going to confront her dad, she is given some information that shocks her to her core about Guy.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0She is lost and confused.\u00a0 Guy has become her anchor and he is lost as to what happened to them.<\/p>\n

The epilogue was awesome.\u00a0 I love imagining Guy speaking Italian to Frankie!!<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve begged, I\u2019ve pleaded, I\u2019ve cried, but nothing has broken my father\u2019s old-school Italian demeanor. This is a last ditch effort to convince him to sign off on the trust my Noni DiDominzio left for me so I can fulfill my career aspiration of my own women\u2019s fashion wear. My boss is moving to France and has offered me to take over his line, giving me free reign on designs. All I have to do is come up with three months rent and it\u2019s mine.<\/p>\n

\u201cFrancesca, in nine months, the trust will be yours to do as you please. However, I suggest you look at how your siblings used their inheritance. Their money was used to buy a house, a car, even start a business which is how Noni intended for you children to use it.\u201d<\/p>\n

I throw back my head and let out an exasperated sigh. Lifting my head up to look at my father, I take a deep breath, knowing that I\u2019m walking on thin ice. My father, Andrea DiDominzio, is Italian through and through. He\u2019s got the full head of dark hair, the olive skin tone, brown eyes, and the man sticks strongly to his Italian beliefs despite the change in times. My siblings and I look exactly like our father, except for Antonia, my middle sister, who has blue eyes. However, we all share the loud, feisty attitudes which we\u2019ve inherited from our father, his father, and his father\u2019s father. Being the baby of the bunch, I have to fight louder than the others to be heard, but it still doesn\u2019t mean I get my way.<\/p>\n

Speaking calmly, I nod, \u201cI would be doing the exact same as Carmine. He used his money to buy the nightclub. I\u2019ll be starting my career with Noni\u2019s money. Papa, this is just the beginning of what I can do with my skills.\u201d<\/p>\n

Papa leans back in his plush leather chair on the other side of his desk, his fingers steepled together. He\u2019s not smiling with his lips but I can see it in his eyes. \u201cFrancesca, you know I don\u2019t agree with your choice of profession and I can assure you Noni wouldn\u2019t either. When you turn twenty-five, the money is yours so you can do as you please then.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cBut, Papa, the opportunity will be gone by then and I\u2019ll be out of a job!\u201d I stomp my foot like a child not getting their way.<\/p>\n

\u201cMia figlia, you know that you always have a job at the restaurant which would be an excellent place for you to meet a good Italian man to settle down with.\u201d<\/p>\n

He\u2019s smirking. The man is seriously smirking at me while he stomps all over my dreams. I\u2019m not even going to entertain his suggestion. Turning my back, I grab my jacket off the chair and mutter under my breath in Italian.<\/p>\n

As I open the door, my father calls to me. \u201cFrancesca, ladies don\u2019t speak that way. I\u2019ll see you in a few days at our Christmas celebration weekend.<\/p>\n

With a huff, I slam the door to his office and let out a scream. My father is infuriating but I\u2019m not giving up on my dream. One way or another, I will have my clothes in a show in New York Fashion Week. Just wait, Papa, I\u2019ll make you proud despite not having your blessing.<\/p>\n
