I received a book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

This is a 2nd<\/sup> chance love\/Friends to Lovers story and it kept me from the very 1st<\/sup>.\u00a0 I sat and counted put it down.\u00a0 The story of Lucas and Maddie was full of angst and hurt with a side of chemistry and arrogance.<\/p>\n

Maddie declared her love for Lucas at age 9.\u00a0 Well of course Lucas being a 10-year-old boy thought she was super gross for suggesting such a statement.\u00a0 Even though Maddie\u2019s heart was broken and kept getting broken by Lucas, she still couldn\u2019t shake the love she has for him.<\/p>\n

Lucas thought of Maddie as his friend. His buddy.\u00a0 When he grew more and more popular he didn\u2019t have time for his best friend anymore. He has willing and able females to keep him entertained.\u00a0 Football and big money was all he knew and all he cared for.\u00a0 When the karma train kick his butt back to the small town they are both from, THAT is when he opens his eyes and SEES his best friend as more than just a buddy but a WOMAN!!<\/p>\n

I loved seeing Lucas grovel and chase Maddie but I also loved seeing he finally give in and accept his words of love and of caring.\u00a0 I think the emotions Maddie feels over not wanting to be a 2nd<\/sup> choice are legit because I would feel the same way.\u00a0 The couple go through a lot in this book but the epilogue was awesome and I loved that we got 2 epilogues essentially.\u00a0 We get a his and her\u2019s POV.\u00a0 Each one makes you hear t a bit gooier then it already was.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

C.A. Harms<\/i><\/b> is like any other addicted reader. She enjoys happy endings and HEA love stories. She hasn’t always been a lover of Romance and had once been addicted to a good Mystery. Just recently she has taken on a new liking and now is a full blown Romance novel addict.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
