This book was a big win for me.\u00a0 I admit it sat on my shelf for a few weeks because I didn\u2019t have the time.\u00a0 When vacation hit, BINGO I was all in.<\/p>\n When I started the book, I admit I was unsure if I was going to like it.\u00a0 The beginning is a bit dark but I promise It\u2019s not NEAR as dark as other stories out there but be warned that there is non-consentual sex in the first few chapters.\u00a0 So there Is my review warning for ya\u2026\u2026But like I said it\u2019s not that bad but\u2026..<\/p>\n Avaleigh was been kidnapped and is being held against her will by a really bad, bad, bad shifter.\u00a0 She is giving up on escaping but she sees another animal also being abused.\u00a0 Her final thoughts before she is willing to die is to save the bear.<\/p>\n Kaid is on his last string.\u00a0 He is the alpha of his pack but is being kept in his bear form.\u00a0 He can\u2019t understand the spells that his is being contained under.\u00a0 When a strong-willed human who has endured her own abuses helps him escape, Kaid clams this human as his own.\u00a0 He gives her his bite to help hide her from the bag guy they are on the run from.<\/p>\n Kaid bring Ava into his clan of misfit shifters.\u00a0 The guys all love her and her care.\u00a0 She has becoming the missing link to their pack.\u00a0 The missing female needed to help the guys form the solid family unit they are.\u00a0 Kaid and Ava are in this predicament.\u00a0 They both love and care for each other but they aren\u2019t the \u201cTrue Mate\u201d for one another.\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Should they go ahead and claim each other?\u00a0 If so then what if their true mate appears????<\/p>\n One night while singing her butt off with the guys in karaoke, in walks Daniel and everything flips on a dime!!\u00a0 Let\u2019s just say Ava\u2019s true mate found her and is not thrilled to see her snuggling with a group of shifters.<\/p>\n The bar scene was the best.\u00a0 I was giggling my butt off.\u00a0 But I loved seeing the Kaid-Ava-Daniel dynamic play out.\u00a0 Ava is pulled in many different ways.\u00a0 Her duty to her mate or her duty to her family.\u00a0 She doesn\u2019t think she can have both!!<\/p>\n While the Pack is dealing and evaluating, the bad guy is tracking down his \u201cmate\u201d.\u00a0 He wants her back. \u00a0\u00a0Let\u2019s just say things go really bad for him when he comes across a true mate and her pack family!!!<\/p>\n The other guys in the pack\u2026seriously\u2026.Bam.
