She pouts a lot ad gets her way a lot with her brother and new sister in law\/bestie Theo. \u00a0\u00a0When Adeline has to take her 2 youngest sisters to boarding school she has a problem with her carriage.\u00a0 It breaks down in the coldest and rainiest of nights.<\/p>\n Jasper is a scarred man who only has the servants for friends.\u00a0 The town calls him the Beast and he is ok with the lonely life.\u00a0 He has duties to his people and that is all he can see for his future\u2026his duty.\u00a0 When he offers to let Adeline in his house for the night, everything changes for the two<\/p>\n Adeline sees an imperfect person become the perfect match for her.\u00a0 Jasper learns that he too wants more than just his duty to the villagers.\u00a0 The couple have to learn how to communicate with each other on his lands with his villagers and when they are forced to return to London and deal with the ton.<\/p>\n I loved this book.\u00a0 I loooooved seeing Adeline grow as a person in the novel.\u00a0 We see the brat becoming a woman and taking a stand for what she wants.\u00a0 I loved Jasper for his heart.\u00a0 He may act like the shunning doesn\u2019t hurt but he wears his heart on his sleeve.\u00a0 When Adeline is the first woman to look at him as more than a Beast, he is so confused and unsure what to do.<\/p>\n The ballroom scene made me have a few tears especially at how bare Adeline lays it all out for her family and friends regarding Jasper.<\/p>\n USA Today Bestselling Author Christina McKnight writes emotional and intricate Regency Romance with strong women and maverick heroes.<\/p>\n Christina enjoys a quiet life in Northern California with her family, her wine, and lots of coffee.
