I received this book from the author for an honest review.<\/p>\n

I am at a loss for words\u2026this book.\u00a0 It is soooo very different from anything I have read by her.\u00a0 Its dark, gritty and gets in your head as to the how\u2019s and why\u2019s of people. \u00a0\u00a0It kinda freaked me out because I wondered if this was all real or some kinda crazy head game.<\/p>\n

Tack and Juliette are both sentenced to the island to repent for their crimes.\u00a0 They both are guilty of crimes that are inter connected but neither knows the other will be there.\u00a0 They both are sentenced to one year in what they presume is solidary confinement.\u00a0 When they stumble on the other, it\u2019s a\u00a0 hot mess because we, the reader, don\u2019t really know the story.\u00a0 As the book unfolds and our characters let us in\u2026holy shit is all I could say.<\/p>\n

Tack has always been the golden boy who gets caught being not so good.\u00a0 Juliette is the little mouse in the middle of the games Tack is playing with his friends but her retaliation is what gets her in trouble.\u00a0 This book is crazy good.\u00a0 I couldn\u2019t put it down because I was seriously like \u201cWait how can you consider this guy after he did this stuff.\u201d And then I was like \u201cwait after you did this stuff you are going to pick her wild flowers and offer her steak!\u201d\u00a0 GAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/p>\n

This book gets in your head because the dark content makes you not want to see these two together but then again they are both in need of love, care and compassion that how can you not what them to be together\u2026\u2026.Gosh so mind boggling!!<\/p>\n

I am eager to read book 2 in October because the ending leaves you going WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!<\/p>\n
