When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I love writing series books. It\u2019s quite a bit of organization, which I geek out over. <\/span><\/p>\n

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I have characters\u2019 stories developed that could take place in other settings but are enhanced by living in my fictional town and interacting with known characters (or lead characters to come). <\/span><\/p>\n

Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Work on something you love to read, that gives you joy. Celebrate the milestones. Believe in yourself.<\/span><\/p>\n

On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m a purge\/rest writer\u2014words spill out in huge amounts, then nothing for a few days. Nothing typical here.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is your definition of success?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I\u2019m proud of what I write. I love what I do. It\u2019s thrilling when someone has read one of my books.<\/span><\/p>\n
