Hi everyone! I stumbled upon this little gem and thought I would share my thoughts. You know those<\/div>\n
wonderful Greek stories where people interpret prophecy the wrong way due to their own interests?<\/div>\n
Yeah, this story follows those lines and is another warning to those who believe in prophecies.<\/div>\n
Fallon is the main character in this story and is young and reckless. She loves a prince despite being a<\/div>\n
social outcast and he seems to care for her as well. Even now I\u2019m not sure of his level of feelings and I<\/div>\n
have questions! Fallon\u2019s grandmother tries to protect her the best that she can but Fallon does not<\/div>\n
make it easy. When Fallon is told that she is part of a prophecy she believes that it will help her get to be<\/div>\n
with her prince and live happily ever after. Life, however, is not that simple and things go sideways fast<\/div>\n
as Fallon learns the truth about her kingdom\u2019s past and how a previous war was ended.<\/div>\n
The world building is great and I was drawn into the society and aspects of Fallon\u2019s life. As the prophecy<\/div>\n
unfolds so does more of Fallon\u2019s world and truths that will change everything. Magic, family betrayals,<\/div>\n
racial discriminations, bitter rivalry, and the fate of an entire race weave together in a tapestry of broken<\/div>\n
hearts and innocence lost. Fallon\u2019s journey of innocent love through revelations that slowly change<\/div>\n
every belief that she has leaves you wondering if she could possible remain even close to the person<\/div>\n
that she was.<\/div>\n
I really enjoyed this book and recommend it for anyone 13+ years. There is a scene between Fallon and<\/div>\n
the prince where they come together but there are zero adult details. This is more focused on fantasy<\/div>\n
than romantic details and is excellent for that choice. Book 2 recently released and I will be checking<\/div>\n
that out to see the aftermath of the prophecy and how Fallon copes with the fallout.<\/div>\n
