Happy Pride Month everyone!\u00a0 Twinsie Tenise here. I would like to take a moment to thank everyone who took the time to answer the questions for our pride month celebration. I thought hard about the questions and had fun coming up with them. I love that the authors seemed to have as much fun answering them. 🏳‍🌈Tell us your name and a little about yourself?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I\u2019m Thia Mackin. I write urban fantasy romance\u2014spicier than most urban fantasy but less spicy than paranormal romance. You usually get two spicy scenes per book, but most of my action is driven by war, battles, and fights.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I\u2019m at ten (10) books, and I would never pick a favorite, but if I did, it would be my poly book\u2014Omega. \ud83d\ude09<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

🏳‍🌈Do you write one book and finish it completely before starting the next? If not, how do you keep yourself from confusing the projects?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I have more than 10,000 words on five projects right now. The characters are all so distinct in my mind that I have no worries about mixing them up.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

🏳‍🌈How do you ensure your LGBTQ characters feel authentic and mutifaceted, rather than just serve a plot function?<\/b><\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I don\u2019t write to a specific pairing sub-genre. I don\u2019t have to worry like some of my favorite authors to read have to worry about staying MM or MF(+). It means some readers may skip my MM and poly books, but the characters get what they want.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

From my home state: The Williams-Nichols Collection at the University of Louisville is one of the largest LGBTQ+ libraries and archives in the nation with over 3,500 books, 3,000 periodicals, 1,500 items of ephemera, and 25 linear feet of manuscripts documenting Kentucky-regional and national queer history.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I\u2019m very specific about the music I listen to while writing, usually listening to the same song on repeat through an entire scene. The genre varies by scene but is a lot of rock.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
