I received this book for an honest review.
So I am going to start this by saying when Jessie told me she was writing Lucas and Ginny’s story I wanted to throat punch her BECAUSE my baby daddy Dec needs to tell his story. So as Jessie was writing I was consoling Dec that he will get his story told soon. Then Jessie says it three books….well there wasn’t enough alcohol in the world for that stunner. So me and my future baby daddy drank our tears away……..So when I opened Lucas and Ginny’s book I was ready to kick butt and take names for these two to get their crap together…then Jessie shocked the heck outta me by writing a SWEET LOVE STORY!! WHAT!! Who is this woman and what happened to my blow torch torturing woman? When did she get a soft side? Did someone change her medication??
Ok Lucas is Mr. Brooding. He has his heart locked up tight and only one woman will be able to control it. He has kept his sweet Ginny at triple arms length away for as long as he can remember. First it was gross this little girl liked him THAT way and then it was because he LIKED her that way and she was jail bait.
Ginny looked to Lucas as her knight in shining armor. He protected her and cared for her which confused the heck out of her. He was so back and forth about his emotions that Ginny often thought she made up the soft side of Mr. Young when in fact she hadn’t.
Book one of this story is super SWEET and angsty. We are reading how the puppy love turned real life love for Lucas and Ginny. We find out what happened to make them fall apart and her build giant castle sized walls so that NO Knight can climb them and bring her hurt like Lucas did.
We find out why Ginny and her mom were hiding and the monster that finds them……and after looking for lost people for 16 years…….lets just say Daddy isn’t happy at all!!
Book 2 is going to be awesome just by the way book 2 ended…….

*Dreamy Sigh* I just love me a nerd covered in Tats……Dylan always made me kinda give him an extra long stare when I was reading the other 2 books. The nerdy quiet McCain boy who had glasses and works on model cars made me wonder what he was “really like”. Well imagine my surprise to find out he is my future book boyfriend!!!! Sorry I read this first so I have staked my claim!! *hand over Michelle’s mouth when she tells me to share him*Ladies I don’t share!!!
Dylan has had his heart stomped on. It seems his ex didn’t appreciate the nice guy and romantic in him. She wanted a guy to be unappreciative of all she had to offer…. I took this book because I love Teresa Gabelman and all of her stories. So of course it was a no brainer for me to read this novella. Then when I looked at the other stories I noticed an author that is attending a signing I am going to would be there as well…double score
Each of these stories are a fun look at the authors and their writing style. I loved Teresa’s story about the Blind Man whose older brother hooks him up with a teacher. It was super funny which is you know her stuff you know writes humor so very well. The teacher and old brother have an instant chemistry and the couple are trying to figure out what the heck is happening between them.
AC Bextor’s story was really angsty so I couldn’t put it down!! The girl who loves the bad boy but agrees to marry the “good boy” brother….oh man, did I wanna throat punch her liker her best friend, Kate and even mom wanted to do to her!! LOL
SR Grey’s book was kinda funny. The girl and her camp roommate’s brother are attracted to each other. They have many “close calls” that stop them from kissing. I laughed at the time the boy dropped acorns on their heads from a tree….LOL I mean it was super funny and I enjoyed reading this story as well. I liked the YA vibe of the book.
Nina Levine’s book has my tattooed hottie heart a pumping. When the girl is attracted to a man whom she assumes is her bosses boyfriend. She is flipping out but when she finds out its her brother…oy vey!!! I laughed at her lack of ability to rock her hot heels as did he. The banter and chemistry of the two were a good giggle to keep me reading for sure!!

This story is told in 2 parts. The first novella of the book I really liked. We see out bada$$ Kat falling in love with a guy. I, like her, really loved Owen and thought that entire book was going to be about them. When the novella ends we can finally see the real Owen and her relationship plus what it does to our Kitty Kat for the rest of the book. Kat’s walls are up in super high and will not be broken for anyone. I have to admit I gave that a 4.5 rating. I loved the storyline.
The main story begins and Kat is now 4 years after her and Owen’s relationship. Kat is cold and hardcore to people she doesn’t know or trust. She is uber loyal to the few people she lets in. Kat is one hardcore chick who doesn’t put up with anyone’s crap. PERIOD. Kat does and says what she wants when she wants and how she wants. If you don’t like it, she has a special finger to show you.
The only person who can get under Kat’s skin in her mom, Carrie. When Carrie shows up and is going to stay with Kat a few weeks we see her world start to go crazy. She discovers her mom is online dating so Kat agrees to help her mom navigate this world by joining as a joke.
We see her stumbling through being NICE to guys on dates and being KAT to the guys who talk to her online…until @Rider1 start to talk to her and even challenge Kat. I THINK I have a feeling about @Rider1 but I will keep my opinion to myself about him. We also see Kat’s friend Ricco challenging Kat about her life and her decisions. Her mom and friends are trying hard to find her someone to make her happy because they feel Kat is missing love in her life.
I liked the story but felt it was a slow read. I think the final 13-15% of the book had me really flying because I wanted to know about @Rider1 and also about the man who was challenging Kat at the end. He was making her think about things and wonder if maybe she is more open to a relationship then she previously thought and maybe he might be the guy for her….???? The end had me cracking up and I am defo going to “tune in” in June for the next installment because I need to know how what the heck happens.

As I have said before this series gets better and better with each release. This on tore me apart how does one move on after the love of your life no longer sees you the same as they did in the beginning. Again real life issues that suck you in and you just have to know how it turns out.
Ruby and Vida have been in love since they were kids. They now have the all American dream, 3 kids and a black picket fence well because what Hellion would have a white fence. Things were good Vida and Ruby had a routine day in and day out. Until the day Ruby decided he was tired of this routine and changed everything by saying one sentence and crushes Vida. Can they make it back from this or will this be the end?
I have to say my heart was crushed right along with Vida’s. They have been through so much over came so many obstacles to be together how could this be happening. I cried watching them deal with this and find a way to make their new path work. Watching Ruby and Vida relearn who they are as individuals not just who they are when they are together or being parents to the kids was encouraging. Kids and family always come first but you cannot lose you in the process, if you do you will lose everything around you.
I am so waiting for the next one in this series Chelsea Camaron gives real life issues to these Bad Ass bikers and their women makes me think I’m right there with them on their ride.

As the saying goes never judge a book by its cover, well never judge a barfly until you know her back story either. Chelsea Camaron has a way of bringing real life issues into a story and making you want to know more about all these characters.
Pamela (aka PPP) is the club barfly that we really know nothing about. Yeah she is in the previous books but really what do we know about her…she is a barfly…has a very interesting purple butterfly tattoo and yeap that’s it. Well until now! To hear her story had me in tears and wanting to jump in this book just to give her a hug. No one should have to endure what she had to.
Boomer has his own past he is dealing with but when he decides he wants more and lays it all on the like Pamela does a freak out. Can Boomer handle his past and Pamela’s secrets or will it all be too much? Will Pamela be able to have a happy life or will her past make her run again.
Boomer and Pamela are perfect for each other. Both are tortured souls that found each other. Boomer was dealing with failing to protect his “brothers” in the past. Pamela was dealing with failing her family in the past and now trying to protect them the only way she knows how and never asking for help and will refuse it when offered. Both needed to learn to enjoy the simple ride together.
I absolutely loved Boomer and Pamela’s story. The secrets Pamela had to hold onto were heart breaking. There were some great moments in the book too. Each book in this series gets better and better always dealing with real issues without going over the top and I cannot wait for more.

This author has a way of getting you to like a book then giving you the second one to make you like the next one more. This is exactly what happened to me. I read Tempted By a Vampire and really, really liked it. But then I get my hands on this baby and love this story even more! This story is about Chelle and Josh. We meet Chelle in Tempted and she is the one that Lane turned into a vampire…not by choice. Chelle and Lane have lots of history and Chelle is finally getting out on her own. Josh is an investigative journalist, and a mere human, that is given an assignment that has him questioning himself. When Chelle and Josh meet they have strong connection. As things unfold, Chelle starts remembering her past, her parents, and the circumstances surrounding her parents death. As these things come to light she and Josh start confiding in each other and find that their pasts aren’t so different and they are more alike than they thought. Now they have to figure out if they can be good for each other. But this is not where this story ends. Not even close! There is a ginormous twist that will make your head spin and is absolutely worth the read. When you get to this part, you will understand completely what I mean.
“I’d never asked for the life I was handed. Not the one growing up, or the one I had now. If that’s what you could call it. In order for there to be life, there must be death. I suppose I’ve already had both. This life now, I don’t know exactly what to call it. Undead existence, I suppose. But it is, what it is. I’m happy that I still have some sort of life. F**king Lane.”
