What happens in Vegas, slaysin Vegas.

With a show to produce and my career as an actress on the line, I really don’t have time to die—especially violently. However, while that might not be on my agenda, it seems to be on other’s.

Awesome.

Instead of acting in my latest endeavor, I’m playing the real-life role of Reluctant Demon Who Has To Save The World—or at the very least, the hot hero.

Fine. I’m always up for a plot twist or a re-write.

Scene One— Save Abaddon from the evil clutches of the hideous Pandora.

Scene Two — Don’t die.

Scene Three — Avoid Pandora like the plague. I understand she has an evil box…

Scene Four — Do not die.

Scene Five — Possibly meet my mom, the woman who abandoned me as a baby.

Scene Six — Do Not Freaking Die.

Scene Seven — Go back to my non-deadly life and win a damn Emmy for Ass The World Turns.

Even though I’m living on the edge of evil, half insanity, half upheaval, I’m a pro and the show must go on.

As the saying goes, a bad dress rehearsal means I don’t get dismembered on opening night. Or something like that.

It’s showtime, folks.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any more outrageous, I was proven wrong! Buckle up, Buttercup! Meeting Candy Vargo was the highlight of this trip! If you want something serious, just walk away now. This isn’t for you. If you want something that is going to continue to keep you on the edge of your seat to see what the next off the wall, silly, wonky, ridonkulous thing that Ms. Peterman can put these characters through, then keep on keepin’ on! This rag tag bunch seems to be loyal to a fault, Cecily is really coming into her powers and showing that she isn’t going to back down, but we still get all the follies that I enjoy so much!!!!

Twinsie Kelly’s Review

This was such an entertaining story! The author did an incredible job keeping things interesting but lighthearted with the right amount of wit, sarcasm and snark while the main character is being investigated for murder. I listened to this in audiobook and the narrator did a phenomenal job!

This is a fairly quick listen so I imagine that it would be a good read as well. The story moves at a great pace so you are not left waiting for things to happen or catch up. Mitzy always thought she was an orphan and then one day she was left money, an incredible bookstore, and found out she had family and others who quickly became friends. All while being arrested almost immediately for a murder (and you won’t believe who the corpse is!!!). She rolls with the punches as best she can and because of her stubbornness, doesn’t let the bad luck keep her down. There is a lot of small-town stuff where everyone knows everyone’s business, but at the same time a lot of those people become the family you didn’t know you had…or needed. Even after being accused of murder, having a ghost granny, crazy cat, potential love interest with the town sheriff that originally arrested her, and the family she didn’t know she needed, Mitzy is really finding that she belongs in Pin Cherry Harbor.

This is a super cute mystery that will suck you right from the start. I look forward to continuing the series and joining in on Mitzy’s misadventures!

Age is just a number unless you’re an actress of a certain age trying to make a comeback in La La Land. Back in the day, I was the child star of the hit show Camp Bites. Today, I’m still living it down.

After a disastrous soap opera audition and getting fired from a TV show for not having a bodacious enough backside, one would think I’d be smart enough to go into real estate.

Nope.

Just found out from the rudest, meanest, and hottest guy alive that I’m a Demon. The jerk, also a Demon, goes by the name Abaddon—Abe to his friends.

I call him Dick.

He’s come from the Underworld to protect me—insert laugh track—since there’s a bounty on my head. Dick is not a welcome addition to my midlife madness. However, he won’t go away, and now, he’s my new boss.

Fine. Whatever. All I ever wanted to do in my life was pretend. I can pretend to get along with Dick. I can pretend that I’m not wildly attracted to him. Not sure I can pretend I’m human anymore, or that a supernatural assassin isn’t trying to cancel me, but I’m going to fake it until I make it. Or I get killed.

As the Underworld turns upside down, so have the days of my life.

Ok, so, I’ve read a few books by Robyn Peterman and I read them when I need something that is a bit over the top and is going to make me laugh. I, myself, am quite sarcastic with the humor of a teenage boy sometimes who will absolutely laugh at all the wrong moments. This is one thing that I have come to love about these books. Now, I have a friend that has not read a Robyn book and asked me what I was reading. I was trying to explain this one and it came out sort of like a former child star that was having trouble getting roles with soap operas found out  she is half demon, that there are flaming assassins from the underworld after her, a Demon who is trying to help her that she dislikes but really loves and she has now dubbed as Dick, a nude gay ghost uncle that loves to dance, has a brother that enjoys the jazz cabbage, and she just bough property in Straightjacket Subdivision. I mean, who wouldn’t want to read this? It is corny at times, it is hilarious, but most of all there is literally a midlife crisis here that most of us can absolutely relate to in one way or another.

If you need something snarky, witty, and that will make you laugh, I highly recommend this one!

Star crossed fated mates. Elsa and Sylas are the last people/species that either of them thought they would fall in love with. The plot is great! There is such a wonderful story here! Elsa crash lands on Sylas’ world. She and a few other humans are the only survivors and they are taken as prisoners. However, they have been found to be a bit more useful than just “prisoners.” With the humans here and being protected plus Elsa and Sylas are getting closer, corruption is now rising and becoming more prominent within the kingdom….all hell starts to break loose. Elsa still needs to protect the humans, Sylas still needs to protect his kingdom, but these two need to protect each other. While there is a lot of bond forming and affection happening, there is a great deal of action and respect occurring as well.

There is a really, really great story here. However, there were times when I felt like the same things were being repeated or some chapters were extremely drawn out for no reason. I think if this was a bit shorter or perhaps less descriptive in some areas, this could have been a really awesome story.

I was very surprised at the ending. It tied the book up very nicely with an HEA, but also a nice segue into a sequel. I look forward to the next adventure.

oh boy the last single Calvert sister is having to go on a work trip the only down fall is that she has server anxiety and doesn’t leave the house very often. but she is needed at a conference in California for her accounting job, so she makes one of her sisters to go with her to help her get through the trip and some meds from her doctor to help her get through the flights.  Lily and Peyton made it to California and get settled in, and make there was to the beach but its not that simple, Peyton had some cheese curls and the seagulls attack, next thing they know, the girls are covered in seagull poop and in front of a hot guy who owns the ice cream shop. well if you have read the other Calvert books you know that when one goes on vacation single they don’t come back home single, will Lily be the only one to go away from home and not bring a man back? Marissa was meeting new family from juniper bay at the worst time, the bed and breakfast she runs with her family is currently without power and they had to call in an electrician, to get things back up and running. but none of them excepted him to be the most drop-dead gorgeous man Marissa has ever seen. Rhenn is a player a hit it and quit it kind of guy, never having to worry about hurt feelings, until he caught Marissa’s eyes and he was wanting to change all his ways. Will these two make sparks or will it end in a faulty wire job. I’m so glad to be back in this family world and Emma and Orvall are still just as spunky and sexual as their own granddaughters’ books. i love them and need all of their stories.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little “spice” or hot guys in uniform pants, and I’m a happy woman. There’s just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

Garrett wasn’t one to back down from a challenge and when he seen Hannah had eyes for a football player, he offered to help her get his attention in exchange for her helping him study to pass the make-up exam. it works and while they were studying Garrett was getting Hannah to relax more and to have fun, but with having fun, it brings out more information about her he didn’t think he’d ever would have heard. her past is not like most and his life isn’t all that it’s cracked up to be. will these two fall for each other or will it end up in the penltey box.

i bought this book here is my honest review

Lucas was just living his life working hard in a tattoo shop with some of his best friends, but his dream was always to open his own shop and have it run the right way, with no side deals. when he was about to go on tattoo competition show he had a surprise long lost family member he knew nothing about show up and try to pay him not to go on the show. in true Lucas’s fashion he went on the show won, opened his own tattoo shop and took this families last name just to piss them off. Everything changed for him when a bachelorette party came in for a fun night, he was stopped in his tracks when he saw Ash for the first time thankfully for him, she isn’t the bride, but that fun night took a turn when the shop has 2 shooters trying to rob the place and Lucas’s best friend gets shot in the cross fires. Ash is a Dr and so is her freind they get to work to save his friend’s life. A lot of crazy things happened since that night in the shop and Lucas and Ash cant stay away from each other but someone doesnt want them to be together, their safety is tested more then ever, can their feelings for each other fight the odds that someone has against them, time will tell. omg this book is hawt, spicy and makes me want to get more tattoos soon lol.
