Danger lurks in the most unexpected of places.

It’s nearly Christmas at the Blade and Arrow headquarters, and the team and their partners are getting ready to celebrate the holidays together. It’s been a perfect holiday season so far… until an enemy shows up with sinister intentions. Revisit with the original Blade and Arrow Security team as they work together to survive a threat that could break them apart forever.

This ensemble cast of your favorite B & A characters (and some new faces, as well!) will find plenty of holiday joy and an HEA (plus a very special surprise!)

Highly recommended to read after completing the rest of the original Blade and Arrow Security series.

Review by: Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I love all the characters in this series.  This is a quick read but don’t let that fool you it is packed full of suspense.

The guys are out of town the ladies and kiddos are hunkered down at the headquarters getting things ready for Christmas. When everything goes dark, no lights, no phones, no nothing the generators are not kicking in. Chaos ensues as an enemy has entered the headquarters thinking it was empty as the guys are gone. They do not realize the women and children are there and now become hostages.

So good to be able to see the B&A team and to see once again how strong their families are when they pull together to protect each other and the kids. This story kept me turning the pages needing to know what was going to happen before I could put the book down. Thank you Gia Cobie for getting me in the mindset of Christmas with this.

#Review – Vicious Fae (Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac Book 3) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

The King will fall.

While I continue my hunt for the Fae who killed my brother, I have to try to keep my heart away from the vicious boys who could be responsible for his death.

But as my investigation leads me down a dangerous road and answers seem closer than ever before, I’m whisked away to the elite school, Zodiac Academy, with the four Kings, and my heart becomes more vulnerable than ever.

There are so many secrets left to uncover, and I sense something terrible is about to come to light.

But I’m in so deep to this dangerous labyrinth, what if this road only ends in blood?

The series continues with Elise trying to find her brother’s killer. Lots of excitement, drama and tension between her and her guys.

BUT we finally get a scene between Ryder, Dante and Elise and holy crap on a cracker. It was what I had been waiting for. I loved every bit of it.

I am sad how the book ended and I hope things change. There’s still two more books, so who knows what’s going to happen. I can’t really say without giving some major spoilers but wow, what a ride.

One thing Stella doesn’t like is being in the spotlight but when she is handed a brown envelope with the famous teal envelope inside, she froze. she didn’t want the attention but after some thinking and asking for the clues to be private, and the people in charge said that was perfectly ok it was game on. the clues are creative and challenging but our girl who has a notebook for every occasion is up for the challenge. every clue comes with a new notebook and a clue inside that has a way deeper meaning then she thought was possible. who could want to be her admirer she didn’t have a clue but now she had a few, Stella had the whole month to try and figure it out on a whim can he do it or will she have to back out.

Everyone at Ryder High knows what it means to have a teal envelope taped to their locker on the first day of the month.

Autumn Avery-Romero is all sorts of confused.

The next day, she finds out via the coveted teal envelope that she has a Secret Admirer.

There’s one big problem—she can’t be seen pretending to date someone and have a secret admirer. So she doesn’t tell anyone about the secret admirer. Soon, he’s sending her puzzle boxes to solve to get the clue inside.

But pretending to date someone isn’t as easy as she thought. Autumn’s feelings for her brother’s friend soon get as puzzling as the boxes she’s been solving.

Summer is over, school is back in session, and a new secret admirer has been chosen, but with a twist only the girl, her bestie, the people in charge and the guy know that it’s still happening. when Autumn found the famous teal envelope in her locker, after she told her brother she would do him a favor and go on a few dates with his best friend so that his ex-girlfriend gets the hint that he was in fact over the relationship. So, the secret admirer agreed to the terms and that makes it extra secret for the month, discreate clues, and the guy knowing what he is seeing isn’t actually real. How will everyone react when the cat is out of the bag that the month wasn’t skipped and it was still going on without anyone knowing, and at the end of the month will Autumn have to make a choice between her brothers’ friend if she starts catching feelings or her admirer? this is an interesting month at Ryder High and I’m all for it. WOTR26 #seriesstarter #Review – Strong Coffee (Coffee Beans & Love Book 1) by J.M. Walker

I only wanted a one-night stand. I didn’t expect to fall for him too.
My best friend is in love with me.
Instead of trying to make things work with him, I decide to have a one-night stand with someone else.
I try making it last for only one night, but my stupid heart gets in the way and I end up falling in love with him.
What makes it worse is that he’s my father’s business partner.

Review by Twinsie Kelly

Strong, steamy, and classy novella about finding yourself (#Bramden).

Brady is made by his friends/business partners to take himself out on a date to just unwind and do something good for himself. While out, he and Cam have a “moment” that turns into a “MOMENT” (if you’re picking up what I am putting down *wags eyebrows*).  Well, Brady and Camden, Bramden if you will, cannot keep to themselves. Bramden just keep falling for each other. What started as a “MOMENT” is turning into so much more. Just like every relationship, there are obstacles….age, parents, exes….but hey, the heart wants what the heart wants.

i bought this book here is my honest review

What is better than having a coffee then having it surrounded by baby dragon’s that’s right kind of like a cat cafe but better. Thats always been Saphira’s dream and now that dream was true, she couldn’t be even more in love that her dream has become a reality. but with allowing baby dragons to come in you are risking some damage to happen, since baby dragons can’t control their fire. with 1 espresso machine down and that evening hearing commotion outside she was asked to train a dragon that wasn’t hers, even though she didn’t have her own dragon she knew how important it was for a dragon and rider to bond, and Aiden was left this dragon by his brother who had died. no bond can’t figure out what to do Aiden was desperate and Saphira was the key to his problems. this was a very cute story but very slow paced and way too much story building and setting the scene.

#Review – Dark Fae (Ruthless Boys of the Zodiac Book 1) by Caroline Peckham and Susanne Valenti

A complete dark, fantasy romance series from Amazon.com and Wall Street Journal #1 bestselling authors Caroline Peckham & Susanne Valenti

What do a heartless Dragon Shifter, a cold-blooded Basilisk, an arrogant Lion Shifter and a brooding, tattooed Harpy have in common…?

Me.

Elise Callisto. Vampire. Angel of vengeance. And a girl on a mission to destroy one of them for murdering my brother. I just don’t know which one did it yet.

When I interrogated/accidentally killed a Werewolf who was high on a new and dangerous drug called Killblaze, his final words painted a dark reality for me. The King of Aurora Academy killed my brother. The trouble is, there’s four kings at the academy and each of them have motive and bloodthirsty natures.

Aurora Academy isn’t a place for the faint of heart. To put it lightly, my town is the cesspit of Solaria where the most cutthroat Fae in the kingdom reside. The school itself is divided by the two gangs who run this city. The Lunar Brotherhood and the Oscura Clan. And guess what? Two of the kings run the gangs at the academy, their hatred for each other so fierce I hear a day doesn’t go by without blood being spilled in the halls.

I might be a petite, lilac-haired girl who looks like I couldn’t hurt a fly, but they haven’t been introduced to my fangs yet. And they don’t know why I’m really here. Or that I’ll do whatever it takes to bring down the Fae who took my flesh and blood from me.

I don’t believe in fate, but I do know this… the King who killed my brother is a dead man walking. And I’m prepared to sacrifice my heart, body and soul to ensure I get my revenge.

This is a gritty, college age, steamy series set in a world where Fae fight to take whatever they want. The heroin will end up with multiple love interests so you never have to pick a favourite alphahole. You can expect dark and hot romance, and a twisted murder mystery which will leave your head spinning and your heart racing. – this series is set in the same world as Zodiac Academy but is its own story and can be read independently.

I can’t begin to tell you when I was this obsessed with a series. I started reading the Zodiac Academy and ended up finding a reading order online. It’s a giant world, so I wanted to make sure I was reading all of it. If that makes sense at all. So there are three series within this world and they intertwine in a way. I read the first 3 books along with 2 novellas for ZA and then started Ruthless Boys because you see these characters in ZA. Which makes sense, since we already see Gabriel in ZA. And let me tell you, I was NOT expecting him to be the way he was in Ruthless Boys.

So Ruthless Boys takes place 5 years before Zodiac Academy does and it’s at a different school. We meet Elise who is trying to find her brother’s killer. She then meets the four kings of the school. And of course, two of the Kings are part of rival gangs where they will one day be the leaders. While they’re not like our favourite boys from ZA, they are similar. But I think Ryder is the scariest. Gabriel can be mean but things happen between he and Elise that makes me question on who she actually ends up with. I can’t tell you how hard it is not to read spoilers. These books have been out for a while but now that I’m reading, it’s like they’re popping up everywhere and the universe is wanting me to get spoiled.

This book is the first of the series, so obviously we’re learning about each character. There’s not a lot of world building like ZA has but this one does have a darker feel to it. But in ZA I find that the guys are meaner. I don’t know. I love them both.

I can’t wait to get deeper into this series to find out what actually happened to Elise’s brother. I have theories but I’m probably wrong. I usually am anyway.

#WOTR25 #NewRelease #Review – Guarded from Havoc (Blade and Arrow Security Bravo Team #6) By: Gia Cobie

I knew it was a risk venturing over to my new neighbor’s cabin during the storm.

After all, I barely knew him. All I’d learned from our chance meeting in the woods was that he was visiting the Adirondacks on a well-deserved vacation, he used to serve in the Army, and he was the most handsome man I’d ever seen.

The last part definitely made the whole knocking on a near-stranger’s door offering food and flashlights idea more appealing.

When he invited me inside, I nearly said no. But there was just something about Erik that told me I could trust him. That if I didn’t accept his offer, I’d end up regretting it.

Then four masked intruders stormed the cabin, with both of us in it. And nothing could have prepared me for what would come next.

I should have been able to defend myself from anything.

I used to be Special Forces, after all. Now, I work for one of the top private security companies in the country. But when Tatum’s life was threatened, I had no choice but to concede. To accept whatever was waiting for me after.

Waking up in the middle of the woods with an unconscious Tatum nearby wasn’t a promising start.

Finding out we’ve been dumped into the middle of a sinister game is even worse. A deadly game it’s clear we’re not supposed to survive.

But there’s no way I’m letting anything else happen to Tatum. I’m getting her out of here, no matter what it takes. And once we escape, I’m going to see her again. Because I’m not losing the first woman I could see a future with.

Guarded from Havoc has a wounded warrior hero, a brave and intelligent heroine, a team of former Green Berets, lots of action and danger, thrilling twists, forced proximity, and plenty of sweet and steamy moments. No cliffhangers and a happily-ever-after guaranteed! (Can be read as a standalone!)

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. I am enjoying reading the Blade & Aarow series and learning so much about the teams. This one is about Erik he is taking a needed break from everything in a remote cabin. Tatum is looking for a new start isolated area taking care of cabins. Tatum decides to introduce herself to the new renter next door when all heck broke loose when there was an invasion and both woke up in the woods. Erik and Tatum are now in a fight for their lives. The team was able to rescue Erik and Tatum now the question is who took them and why. Tatum showed how strong she was while in the woods with Erik. Erik was determined to keep her safe making sure she was protected at all times. I absolutely love this team and Erik and Tatum. They all work together well and the team make Tatum feel like part of the family. I enjoyed seeing Erik and Tatum grow from strangers into their relationship. Both are stubborn and so independent but the way their relationship evolves is incredible. Erik was amazing the way he was with Tatum protecting her, understanding what she was dealing with in her mind after seeing everything she did. I loved seeing Tatum open herself up to Erik and the others. This book had me hooked from the moment the intruders came into the cabin until the end. There was so much action, intensity, and suspense. I was turning these pages wanting to know what was going to happen next, why things were happening, and who was behind everything all at the same time seeing this love story play out. Well done Gia Cobie Well done.
