Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.
My. name is Heather. I abbreviate it because my name is so long it’s hard to fit on covers LOL I’m a woman of many talents. I’m a degreed teacher, but have been out of the classroom for sixteen years. I found my passion for writing when you daughter was a baby. I started as a fan fiction writer, and it evolved from there. Since then I’ve worked as a preschool teacher, a nanny, bartender, and now I’m an Instacart shopper. I have 2 kids, a boy and a girl, a sweet puppy who I treat as a third child (she’s spoiled, but don’t tell her that), and an awesome husband.
When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?
The others. The first is easy because you can pretty. much do whatever you want. When book 2 comes along, you have to remember all the little details from the first so someone doesn’t end living in a different city, or changing hair color, or names. Don’t laugh, it happens.
When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
I try to be realistic, but in a unique way.
Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?
Feel your feelings. It is draining, but if you’re writing something that’s supposed to be sad, or happy, or nerve wracking, and you’re not feeling it…your readers won’t either. I’ve spent many times sitting at my laptop bawling my eyes out in pubic as I write an emotional scene. I’ve learned to ignore the stares. LOL
On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?
It’s sad. Not as much as I used to. Right now, life is so busy that I usually only get 2 days a week of writing time. On those days I might spend 3, maybe 4 hours writing. I used to write every day, and was producing a book about every 3 months. Now I’m lucky to get one every 6. Life happens and when kids get older the require more time.
Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.
I wouldn’t say a favorite character, but a favorite family, yes. The McKay family in my Broken series and the second generation from those books are a favorite of mine. They’re just easy to write. When I decided to write a second generation, I was worried that it would be difficult to top the first series, but I flew through those books with ease.
If any of your books were to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it? What book and who?
I always envisioned Theo James as Dev in Being Nobody, and Joe Manganiello as Cole in the Broken books. I never really cast the females.
What is your definition of success?
Being happy with what you’re doing.
Do you have anything you want to share that didn’t fit on one of these questions?
Yes!!! Angie, Melinda, Jillian, and the rest of the team are awesome.

In book ten of the Steel MC Montana Charter: Thanks to video chats, Rebecca ‘Doc’ Olson has been helping the Steels process their traumas and heal. When death threats are more than a bluster from an angry patient, it is Rebecca’s time to seek out the care and protection of the Steels.
Over six years ago, Wendell ‘Chief’ Washington got pulled off active duty only to be devastated with news that cut him to the core, scarring him with a loss he believed he’d never recover from. Retiring from the Navy has him returning to a world with no anchor and just in time to attend the wedding of a dear friend in Turnabout Creek. What he didn’t expect to find was a woman who awoke the man inside him that died years ago.
Each of them running…Him from his past and her, from an eminent threat.
As each day passes, Doc is unpacking her life while danger circles around her. If it weren’t for the nights spent with Chief, she would be consumed and lost in despair. While Chief is teetering between a life renewed and losing it all if he fails again, to protect the woman who restarted his heart.

I was given this book from Booksprout to leave an honest review.
Kat Maxwell, seriously I cannot say enough. I love her voice with this series. She is like coming home when I listen to Michel’s stories!! *Chef’s Kiss* She is the best!!
This series is an auto buy for me. I may have gotten an ARC but I had my preorder already ready for release day. If you are a fan of alpha men that melt for their women, this is a series for you! But stay away from my man Baldy! Got it!!! Good. Ok now let’s talk about this book. I really didn’t know these characters as they were both side characters. Doc has been around the MC fringes for a few book as she helps the Steels and their women with mental health. Chief, however, is essentially a new character. When we learn he knows Annie…I was like “Who is Annie???? Oh crap!! Its CREAM!!!” Yeah, I don’t know the real names but road names anymore!! LOL
Ok so Doc is old buddies with Red. They were like besties in medical school with huge amounts of resect for the other in their fields. Red is who got Doc to help his MC with mental health needs. When Doc is being stalked by an unknown killer, she runs to the MC for a wedding of one of her patients.
Chief …I kinda don’t want to ruin who he is because the story of how he knows Annie was pretty sweet. But let’s just say he and Annie go WAY back. He comes to see his friend get married to some young punk plus meet her little man, Liam. Annie and Chief catching up was hard at times given the history but also pretty special as he is embraced by Bounty.
Chief and Doc run into each other at the Roadside but don’t really get to talk until they are both at Maggie’s for breakfast the following morning. The attraction on both sides is spectacular. Chief is dealing with his past and Doc is worried about even having a future.
Chief deals with his past and once he realized Doc is someone he won’t let go of. Doc’s stalker soon comes around putting Red and the guys on high alert. Doc is so scared of losing Chief she is the one who pretty much claims him and names him. (We all know once you been claimed you are no longer on the market. LOL )
But I really enjoyed seeing Red a little more one on one. We see him a lot in the books as he is the president but seeing him with Harlow…melts my heart. Also seeing him with his friend to talk medical things over with since he can’t lean on my baby daddy, Baldy, for that was pretty good to see. Learning more and more about him made my heart happy.
I absolutely LOVED this book and meeting some new prospects. I also love what we learn about a few of the couples. This family is growing more and more.

With characters yelling “It’s my turn damn it!!!” She tries to explain to them that alas, she can only type a hundred and twenty words a minute and they will have wait their turn. Michel Prince, writer of books, lover of football, and crazy pillow lady.
When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?
Yes. — if I think/know it’s going to be a series the first is hardest because I need to lay a foundation for the others (it will go off track but I want to pretend I have a map) if it turns into a series I need to keep going back to make sure I’m staying true to the characters.
When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
If I’m bored you’re bored. If there is nothing to evolve with the older characters along with the new then it’s time to end. Even your favorite cake gets old if you eat it every day, so if I can’t toss a few berries on top I’ll keep it going.
Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?
Take your breaks when needed, but give yourself a time to return to writing. Stepping away is easy, coming back is hard.
On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?
I’ve had to move to only writing on certain days and then I write for 6 to 8 hours, but I only get that 3, maybe 4 times a week sadly.
Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.
Esme Carmichael from my Love by the Yard series. Highly intelligent, bored easily, with a quick wit and love of buffets.
If any of your books were to be made into a movie, who are the celebrities that would star in it? What book and who?
Jessica Biel -Joss, Betty White RIP-Hilde, Gary Dourdan or Chiwetel Ejifor -Slaton, Josh Dummal-Carlton for Amara Acquired

In Tender Root Montgomery Long seemed singularly focused on fun. The middle child he only had one real duty, taking care of his younger sister Melody. But he’d failed and as the months tick on without her attacker behind bars he’s itching to exact revenge on the man who almost took his baby sister’s life.
Harper Maxwell’s year had gone from bad, to worse. With an ex husband looming around making her life miserable, the chance to get away to Mexico for a case made sense. As the attorney assigned to the Long case she was set to serve extradition paperwork and hopefully catch a few rays at the beach before heading back home.
If only that could have happened, with threats on Harper’s life can she find safety or even love in the arms of a man who never commits and worse yet may only be a rebound? Or will she become the next tragedy that could destroy the Long Ranch?

Review by Twinsie Angie
The Last Laugh, The Long Ranch book 3 by Michel Prince, narration by Mark Neely
I was given this audio book for an honest review by the author.
Mark’s voice was a great pick for Monty the main male character. I thought he did a great job bringing the character to life. I did think his was missing a bit when he voiced the female characters and at time he seemed rushed to deliver the dialogue. I was however happy with the narration of the story at the end,
The love story in this book is Monty and Harper. I have not read the other 2 books in the story. I didn’t seem lost or confused as the back story was told in away that gave me the information I needed for this story. I will say it seems the OVER ALL ARK of the story is in all 3 books. Like I said, I didn’t feel like /I missed anything but if you can’t stand to read out of ore you might want to start with #1.
Monty, Monty, Monty……he is the reformed town manwhore. He likes the ladies, and the ladies like him. LOL The husbands however, are not fans of his…I mean I get it right???
Monty is looking to find the man who beat up a family member when he sees a beautiful woman on the beach. A delicious one-night stand later and he sees her again, except this time he is in handcuffs annnnd not the fun kind.
Harper is a DA and she is DONE with her crooked boss and her POS ex-husband who doesn’t seem to understand he is an EX not current. She goes to Mexico to get the guy she is after and BOOM meets Monty.
The couple keep “crashing” into each other. Monty catches feelings and isn’t a fan of this. He also isn’t a fan of just being “Man Meat” for his woman. Harper is so confused by Monty, but she is not looking for love at all. Been there , done that and still has the ring to prove it.
A few explosions, death threats, run in with ex’s and a terrible mother has this couple really struggling to be together.
I liked the couple and did enjoy the journey they took. Chapter 12 had me laughing so hard annnnd then freaking out a bit!!

When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
I ask myself if I would want to read the book. Do I care about the characters? Did I make myself cry. lol
Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?
Keep a notebook with you. I find it most stressful when I have an idea and nothing to write it in.
Don’t force yourself to write if you’re not in the right headspace – it will just make you more frustrated and stressed.
On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?
I try to write at least one chapter a day, however many words or however long it takes me.
Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.
Denise – the best friend from book one of my Combat Hearts series and the heroine in book 1.5 & 2. She’s a bad ass, but she has a soft center if you can get past the hard exterior.

Xander Evans lived a tragic childhood, spending most of those years in foster care. He never felt like he had a home—discouraged with his plight—until he stopped in the small town of Truman Valley, Missouri. There, he met a woman who would change everything he ever knew. Paige Watson opened his heart and eyes to a new perspective; redefining Xander’s mind, body, and soul, giving him a new outlook on life. Unfortunately, luck had other plans and Xander now faced a new home—prison—after being sentenced to life for the murder of his true love’s mother.
Gabriela Michaels grew up with loving adoptive parents in Wyoming; her life far more stable than the brother she never knew, Xander Evans, who bounced around between foster homes. The stability and support encouraged Gabriela to become the first female US Army Special Forces soldier with three deployments under her belt. On her third and final deployment, Gabriela fell victim to a military sexual trauma. Upon leaving the service, Gabriela’s life quickly spiraled out of control in a fury of drugs and violence. Her only hope rested in a band of broken outlaws and her former flame, a brother-in-arms.
These broken outlaws came from different pasts, different circumstances, different influences, but together they forged a bond unlike any other. Through love, loyalty, and sacrifice they strengthened their broken places—kindred spirits in the world of sinners, misfits, and outlaws.
Review by Twinsie Melinda
I found myself laughing at the characters and wanting to have a drink with them at points in the book. Then there were parts were I wanted to curl up next to them and hug them hold them and cry with them. You know something bad happens from the prologue but you get sucked into the story and you just don’t want to believe it’s going to happen or be true. These people become family, your family and you only want the best for them good things for them. I mean they are good people after all. What am I talking about who are these wonderful people well let me tell you about them.
Xander Evans grew up in foster care and is traveling through a small town in Missouri when he sees a guy giving a gorgeous woman a hard time. Well Xander is not going to stand for that and steps in. This wins the appreciation of the ladies father and an invite to dinner which eventually lands Xander a job at the Watson Wineries. Xander becomes close to the Watson family especially the daughter Paige. However, he keeps his distance because he doesn’t want to disrespect her dad Jack. Xander doesn’t made many friends and Paige has a nasty ex that won’t leave them alone. Things are going good until one tragic night that changes all their lives for the worse and their lives will never be the same. Want to know what that was well you’re going to have to get the book and read it for yourself because that is all your getting out of me. Now I need to go get my tissues to catch the tears.
I absolutely loved Paige and her no hold back say whatever I son my mind. Even though she has a great family life and a loving mom and dad it doesn’t mean she has had an easy life. The relationship she has with her BFF Brandi is the best they can tell each other anything just say it how it is and not get upset with one another if they do they don’t stay that way for long. The friendship that Xander and Chase have is amazing too. Even though Xander tries to fight the feelings for Paige the sparks are there and they are spectacular. The day Paige’s Mom and Dad find out about them is great I enjoy watching these two squirm.
BT Urruela did a good job on his first novel he had me turning the pages devouring this story. I so enjoyed these characters they came alive for me I was right there going through everything with them and when tragedy hits I was a blubbering mess even though I knew it was coming I still didn’t want to admit it. It’s like I said these people became my people and I wanted to protect them and didn’t want anything to happen to them. All I can say is I want more and need more of Xander, Paige, Brandi and Chase.
BT Urruela was an infantryman in the US Army from August 2004 until February 2011. At the end of a year long tour to Baghdad, Iraq, his vehicle was hit by two roadside bombs, which took his right leg below the knee and the life of his commander. He was awarded a Purple Heart for his wounds, an Army Commendation Medal, and Combat Infantryman’s Badge. He medically retired from the Army in 2011 and moved to Tampa, FL where he currently works as a Director and Brand Ambassador for VETSports, a veteran community sports nonprofit he co-founded in 2012. He also conducts motivational speeches, works as a cover and fitness model and he’s a personal performance trainer.
He’s a co-author of the military romance novel A Lover’s Lament and the upcoming romantic thriller and his debut solo novel, Into the Nothing.
Living with the DeMarco vampires has been a lifesaver for Ari. However, as a human, he’s always felt inferior; has always wanted to be turned, while his vampire friends have refused his one wish.
And then he meets Abella, and suddenly he isn’t sure what he wants anymore.
Abella is also human, although she too is familiar with vampires. Her grandfather is one. The half-witch who cursed her is a vampire. She’s learned to live with both her grandfather and the curse; was content with her life.
Until she meets Ari.
Now she’s living a nightmare, because falling in love could lead to Ari’s death, thanks to her curse.
What will these two ill-fated humans do?
Review by Twinsie Kelly
Cursed by a Vampire, a tale you want to get lost in…
When you are a human and death is inevitable, what do you do? What path do you take?
Ari is one of the DeMarco family but is only human.
Abella lives with her vampire grandfather, but like Ari, she is only human.
These two cross paths and then fireworks explode! At first, they hate each other but are incredibly attracted to each other. There is a gentle, and sometimes not so gentle, push and pull between these two that is more than just your typical love story. Keep it casual?! Yeah right! I mean, I have followed Ari through this entire series and even I know that I wouldn’t be able to resist Ari!
I swear that each time I read one in this series, I think to myself that this is my favorite. Well, this is no different. I really do think Cursed by a Vampire is my favorite. There were several times that I felt like we were coming to the peak of the story and things were going to start wrapping up, and I would feel sort of let down. But in true Susan Griscom fashion, she threw us a curveball and I was like, “holy hell, I did not see that coming!” I said this on several occasions. I just love it when the twists keep coming and then wraps up with an incredible surprise!
Yes, this one…this one right here is my absolute favorite in the Immortal Hearts of San Francisco series! A must read!

When you are writing a book, which is harder? The first book in the series or the others after it?
The ones later in the series always seem to be harder. When I’m starting the book, the sky’s the limit on what I can do. Once I’m farther in the series, I suddenly have to obey my own d*** rules, and that’s annoying, lol.
When writing a series how do you keep things fresh, for both your readers and also yourself?
When in doubt, I blow something up. Doesn’t matter if it’s a car, a relationship, a problem, or a fricking sofa. I like to keep things churning and changing as much as I can, so I’m always looking for a chance to turn everything on its head.
Writing can be an emotionally draining and stressful pursuit. Any tips for aspiring writers?
Pace yourself. Even if you binge write, plan on some time to rest in all that. No one is a machine.
On a typical day, how much time do you spend writing?
It varies wildly. Some days are all writing, some are only a small amount.
Do you have a favorite character that you have written? If so, who? And what makes them so special.
I love them all. I honestly cannot answer that.
What is your definition of success?
