#WOTR26 #NewSeries #romanticComedy – Loving Words (You’ve Been Gnomed book 1) – by: AJ Renee and Miranda Lynn

A meddling gran, a protective brother, and a mysterious gnome in the Georgia mountains…

What could possibly go wrong?

Spending Christmas in the mountains with her family is exactly what Kennedy needs. Work has been stagnant, and Norina has always felt like home. But when her parents bail and her brother’s smoking-hot best friend shows up instead, her underwear goes up in flames.

For Jack, a quiet holiday retreat with his best friend’s family is just what his agent ordered, and the small-town, picturesque setting is instantly inspiring. Falling hard for his friend’s sister, however, wasn’t in his latest outline.

Their chemistry is undeniable.

Their timing couldn’t be worse.

As real life waits below the mountain, Kennedy and Jack must make a choice.

Cut their holiday romance short, or let it blossom into an unforgettable love story.

Review by Twinsie Melinda

I received a copy of this book from the authors in exchange for an honest review.

Absolutely love AJ and Miranda and I was so excited about a series about a mischievous gnome. Kennedy headed to her grandmas for what is supposed to be a family Christmas but her parents flaked and her brother brought his best friend, Jake.  The chemistry between Kennedy and Jake from the start was explosive.

I loved Jake from the start I mean really how could I not once I found out he is a writer of romance books. Jake is taking in his small-town experience for his book and he taking in his best friends sister also. Jake finds out how much Kennedy loves her coffee and other things.

Kennedy’s grandma had me laughing with her one liners and all-around personality. I was wondering how the gnome was going to play a part throughout the book don’t worry we get to see that in the last part of the story. I enjoyed this light hearted fun story with no major drama. I did think with the series name the gnome would play a bigger role in the book but the shenanigans were full of surprises and laughter. I have to say I am ready for the next book

She loves to read and write steamy romance with a happily ever after. When not working, you can find her playing World of Warcraft, board games, or outdoors for a run or hike.

MIRANDA LYNN

Escaping reality one book at a time has been Miranda’s motto since she learned to read. As an only child raised on a dairy farm her creative imagination brought words to life. She devoured more books growing up than her little town bookmobile could handle. It was inevitable that she would turn from reading them to writing them. This is her way to help not only herself but others escape the day to day drudge. Her books may take you on a journey through time, give you a look inside a fantasy realm, or delve into the magic of almost anything paranormal. Threading in heart stopping romance and dropping an occasional super sexy scene just to keep you on your toes.

Miranda’s stories are focused around strong female leads and sexy males who appreciate them. She strives to encourage her readers that they can have it all in real life too.

You can find her most days either subbing at the local high school or tucked away in her office working on the next story with a cup of java in her hand. She loves connecting with her readers online as well as in real life so make sure to find her on Facebook and check out where she will be signing throughout the year on her website.

#review #audiobook Live in Love by Lauren Akins (narrated by Lauren Akins and Thomas Rhett)

When country music star Thomas Rhett won the ACM Award for Single of the Year with “Die a Happy Man,” his wife, Lauren Akins, was overjoyed. Her childhood best friend and now husband was being anointed the hottest new star in country music—for a song he had written about her. He was living his dream. Lauren was elated, but she was also wrestling with some big questions, not the least of which was, How can I live my own life of purpose?

Lauren Akins never wanted to be in the spotlight, but as Thomas Rhett made his relationship with Lauren the subject of many of his hit songs, she was tossed into the role of one of America’s sweethearts. Revered by fans for her down-to-earth ease and charm, her commitment to humanitarian work, and the pure love she exudes for her family, Lauren has never shared her side of their story—full as it’s been with deep love, painful loss, tremendous joy, and a struggle to stay grounded in faith along the way—until now.

In Live in Love, Lauren shares details about her childhood friendship with Thomas Rhett, explaining how they reconnected as young adults. She offers a rare behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of being married to her best friend, who just happens to be a music star, and the struggle to find her own footing in the frenzy of her husband’s fame. And in heart-wrenching detail, she opens up about her life-changing experiences doing mission work in Haiti, and then in Uganda, where she met the precious baby who would become their first daughter. From sharing the romance of their handwritten wedding vows to the challenges they faced as they adjusted to the reality of becoming first-time parents, Live in Love takes an intimate look at one couple’s life—and opens a window into all of our journeys on the path to self-discovery.

Live in Love is a deeply personal memoir that offers inspiring guidance for anyone looking to keep romance alive, balance children and marriage, express true faith, and live a life of purpose.

Twinsie Dee review

I bought this book and here is my honest review.

my whole life I’ve been a fan of the Akins’ family. Rhett Akins was a staple in my childhood that when Thomas Rhett was becoming a star and playing on the radio it was great but now even though she didn’t like being in the spotlight, Lauren was now in the spotlight so when she wrote a book of course I was going to read it. Lauren gives her light and love for the lord, shows the behind the scenes of how hard life gets and how great it is when you can put your life in the lords’ hands. from losing a friend from childhood, marriage, mission trips, adoption and pregnancy Lauren doesn’t hold back. this was a great book and listing to it as Lauren and Thomas Rhett narrated made it even better.

Lauren Akins is a devoted mother, wife, and philanthropist who lives in Nashville, Tennessee, with her husband, country superstar Thomas Rhett, and their four girls. Lauren has been a passionate supporter and active volunteer for years and is enthusiastically continuing to support children in Uganda through her efforts with Love One International.
