This word sums up my relationship with Nicolas: devastating, painful, depressing.
A first love that should have lasted a lifetime, but I ruined with a stupid decision. Nicolas is my star crossed lover, and even though Shakespeare has taught me that stories such as ours always end in tragedy, I can’t not love him, even if I’m married to someone else.

I sit at my computer a blubbering mess of tears and snot. I don’t know if I have the energy to go and find the author and shake her for writing such a great story of longing and 2nd chance love or smack her for writing such an emotional story??? I seriously have a headache from my emotional hangover I am having with Peyton and Nic……HANGOVER!!!! H-A-N-G-O-V-E-R!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I loved the premise of this book…..have you ever loved someone so much and made an epic mistake that made you lose that love. Have you ever wondered what might happen if you could right that wrong???? Would you make the same choices? Would you finally listen to your heart and do what it was that made you happy?? What would you do if you could have happiness at the cause of hurt to someone else that you loved???
Nic and Peyton had a passion that burned so bright. Everyone saw it. They loved hard and crashed even harder. When things happen and words are spewed out of anger and hurt, you can’t go back. You can’t take back. The two move forward but never really move on. When a moment of sadness brings Nic back into Peyton’s life everything changes. The two begin to remember and relive those old memories. This makes the old burning timbers of their relationship light up. Once that old love is relit, can they be together or will it be too bright and burn them out??? This book…it had me on pins and needles. We want the two to be together. They love each other so much and it causes so much pain. There are times I feared their love was toxic and other times I feared they couldn’t be together fast enough.
The journey of this couple is one that I will remember for a long time. I won’t be surprised to see it make my top 5 list for the year. It was THAT emotional for me. The journey for the two is long and hard but worth the read. However, the last few chapters are when the Kleenex box was used the most so BE WARNED!!!!!
