#wotr #attendingauthor #audio Faultless (Room for Love 3) by Kate Hawthorne narrated by Evan Carolina

Eddie Alexander never meant to go to Cherry Creek.

Faster than he could unmake a bed, Eddie’s life is turned upside down and he’s out of school with nowhere to go but a home that’s never been his. When he gets to Cherry Creek, the first face he sees is Charlie Motel, his best friend’s brother and also his lifelong crush.

Charlie has always been the caretaker of his family, filling the roles of absentee father, loving mother, shoulder to cry on, tolerant husband, and whatever anyone else asked of him. He’s tired, he’s alone, and then Eddie shows up in need of help with an offer Charlie never saw coming.

Charlie’s answer is yes.

Eddie takes control and, for the first time in years, Charlie feels like he can breathe. He’s free of other people’s problems, he’s living his own life, and under Eddie’s thoughtful guidance, he can truly be faultless.

hehehe oh this one is so far the funniest of the coupling, Charlie the oldest brother has been hooking up with one of the locals, they were just there for each other and wanting some company. Eddie, who was away at college Cameron’s best friend, the son of Cameron’s boyfriend Luke, oh the amount they have all known each other for all of their lives. Eddie was on getting kicked out of college after getting caught sleeping with his professor, and not knowing what to tell his dad he went to cherry creek to the motel to figure out what to do next with his life and what to tell his dad when he got back from his vacation with Cameron. One thing both Eddie and Charlie didn’t expect was to have odd feelings for each other and wanting to bang each other. Will they give in to their wants and needs or will they keep thinking of the other while relieving themselves during their alone time. oh this one was a good i can’t wait to get to the next one.

#wotr #attendingauthor #audio Heartless (Room for Love 2) by Kate Hawthorne narrated by Evan Carolina

For James Motel and Levi Kadish, it’s hate at first sight.

Levi thinks James is an arrogant out-of-towner, and James thinks Levi is a smug local with an overblown opinion of himself. Together, the two of them are like oil and water, but Levi likes the way he feels when James looks at him, and James really loves the sound of Levi’s voice when he says…

When he says those heartless things.

In the middle of a baking lesson James never wanted, the unresolved tension between Levi and him boils over, and James is left with more than rug burn. Levi’s words are emblazoned in his heart, and he’s eager for more.

Levi has never had something feel as right as his unconventional relationship with James, and when he finds himself with nowhere to go, he turns to the one man he knows who won’t turn him away…even though he’s the only man who should.

oh, where to begin when the grumpiest of the Motel Brothers, James gets put in his place by the baker who wasn’t about to deal with him being an ass to him things get interesting. Levi was just the local Jewish baker who was tired of being in his brother’s shadow, so he just helped at the bakery and made the desserts he was allowed to with the ingredients that his brother said he could. James just wanted to get this year over with so he could get his money and not work another day in his life, but when his older brother told him he needed to make a contract with the bakery to help the motel that was the last thing he wanted to deal with, but he did anyways. Will James drop his being an ass to everyone, or will Levi be the only one to be able to see the softer side of him, if there truly is a soft side. How well does business really mix with pleasure can these 2 make it work or will it blow up between these 2 smalls businesses? another amazing story by Kate and this audio is amazing once again.

Luke was getting over dealing with a brake up with his partner, now it was just him and his son Eddie and his friend Cameron was over most of the time. Well, when Cameron had to listen to Eddie wack one out one of the nights he was staying over while Eddie was in the shower, Cameron thought he might as well jerk one out too while he was alone. Cameron didn’t time his ending very well and next thing he knew not only was Eddie back in the room, but Eddie’s dad was now looking at him and well it made him feel things he didn’t know if he wanted to feel. Luke and Cameron started hooking up behind Eddie’s back and oh did the steamy fling happen. Both were happy until Cameron’s dad died, and he was forced to move to help his brother’s run the family hotel. Will distance slip these two up, will the huge age gap be the issue, or will they make it work and be happy for the rest of their life. OMG this audio was amazing, and this story was just as great the brattiness from Cameron with Luke and the steamy chemistry between them was just woah steamy.

Hendrix

What’s the only thing more annoying than my years-too-young neighbor?
The way I want him more than air.

There are plenty of things I don’t like about my new home in California, and my neighbor, Miles, is at the top of the list. He’s smug and arrogant, he speaks out of turn. And even though I should have learned my lesson about fast-talking, younger, dominant men when I broke up with my ex, I want him. For better or worse, Miles and I are on the same page and that’s why we decide there’s no harm in taking things between us someplace a little more private.

Good thing it’s only a physical connection between us because I could never be with a man like him for the long term…

Miles

Can I tease my well-dressed and thick-thighed older neighbor into bed?
I’m not sure, but there’s no harm in trying.

There’s never been a man who twists me up inside the way Hendrix does, and from the very first time he tells me yes, I know I’m going to demand a thousand more agreements out of his gorgeous mouth before I’m anywhere close to being done with him. He says he only wants me for my body, but it’s not long before things between us feel anything but casual. Hendrix thinks I can’t tell he’s being cautious with me, that I don’t know his worries about the past repeating itself are a constant threat in his head.

Joke’s on him, though. Hendrix makes me want to be a better man and I’m not going to stop until I prove that I’m worthy of a partner like him, even if I stumble more than once along the way.

What’s the only thing scarier than falling in love with the older man who’s determined not to trust me? Giving him the space to discover he can.

Review by Twinsie Dee

Hendrix is the grumpy older neighbor that was mysterious, and the littlest thing could set him off. Well Miles was the younger neighbor that when walking his date to his car from the night before, and as he was heading back to his house and spotted Hendrix and called him buddy. that was enough to set Hendrix off and be super annoyed with his younger but oh so sexy neighbor. Neither of them could keep the other out of their minds, and after one random knock on the door and a steamy kiss in Miles kitchen. This older sub and younger Dom have a hot, steamy, and all-night romp in the sheet, did these two find their other have the perfect sub to Miles ever so strong Dom side of himself. Will these two make their wants and needs to each other go and be happy together forever or they will make a few sneaks around the fence and into each other’s bedrooms. oh, this book was so good Miles snarky comebacks are just everything, and who doesn’t love a snarky strong Dom who cares if he’s gay or not it’s still very attractive.

#WOTR23 – #Review – Echoes of a Dream (Echoes #1) by BT Urruela

Echoes of a Dream (Echoes Trilogy Book 1) by [BT Urruela, Kim BookJunkie]

Dylan Correia has always had a special gift. At first he thought he was having a bad trip, hallucinations. By eighteen, he realized it was something different. Something powerful. It began as a wave of prickly heat sweeping over his body, causing the hairs on the back of his neck to stand on end and his eyes to slam shut. He’d see things—terrible things—in his head, and like the echoes of a lucid dream, the thoughts would stay with him for days, torturing him.

He continued ignoring the power, lying to himself, until the day he saw it on the news—a Chevy Malibu flipped upside down and burning. The same one he’d seen in his visions the night before.

After a few years away at college, unburdened by these visions through frequent alcohol abuse, Dylan reaches graduation having already started a successful vinyl and comic book store with his best friend. Everything runs smoothly until a mysterious run-in with a stranger from a top-secret government agency threatens to flip his world on its end.

There’s a new program and Dylan’s a perfect fit.

Will Dylan take the stranger up on his generous, but vaguely described, offer? Does he have what it takes to pass the rigorous training if he does choose to join the program? And at what cost to him?

Goodreads

Review by Twinsie Kelly

The cover and the blurb drew me in immediately. I was definitely intrigued. You go on this journey with Dylan, present day, talking about his past and the trouble he had with his first run in with drugs and the “hallucinations” and further continues on to how he was approached for a top secret opportunity clear through his training. Imagine that? Top secret opportunity that will leave a lot of conspiracy theories in your brain as you continue on Dylan’s journey. That’s what! Other people in the program would, very literally, just disappear. Others were beat down to become very obedient soldiers. But what more would you expect when you accept a very vague job offer? There were times that I forgot that Dylan was basically narrating the story, but he would pop back in at the perfect times with just enough clarification of how he wished things were different before you dove right back into the story again with another twist and turn. There is an M/M romance happening however, it does not overshadow the story at all. If M/M is not your jam, you will still enjoy the story. This is definitely a conspiracy theorists’ wet dream! Full of suspense and will leave you with more questions than answers. A huge cliffhanger! I am anxiously awaiting the next in the trilogy and hoping to get to some much needed answers. Great start to what is sure to be an excellent series!

He is a RARE under 40 award recipient, Rockwood Summit High School and Rockwood School District Hall of Fame inductee, Co-founder and Brand Ambassador for VETSports, Ambassador for Tampa Sports Academy, People Magazine Tribute for Heroes winner, Cover Model, Motivational Speaker and Philanthropist.

At an early age he began writing short stories having been inspired by reading books authored by RL Stein. His maternal grandmother’s bookshelf was filled with literature that inspired his young mind and cultivated his vivid imagination.

Upon graduation from high school his desire to have a 20-year military career was cut drastically short by an improvised explosive device. Taking the life of his commander, and leaving the remaining four team members badly wounded.

After careful consideration and multiple surgeries, he along with the guidance of his doctors made the decision to amputate. It was the only surgery he ever left with a smile on his face, as if a weight had been lifted. He struggled for two more years through 4-5 hours of physical therapy a day, five days a week to get adapted to his new prosthetic. He medically retired from the Army with high hopes. His focus on restoring his physical shape being the most eminent battle caused him to neglect his psychological state.

Meeting people was difficult and there were very few options for veterans to utilize that would stimulate friendship, and ultimately, allow communication barriers to be breached. After moving to Tampa, Florida, he co-founded the veteran community sports nonprofit, VETSports, with two other combat wounded veterans. It was their mission to change the way veterans transitioned back to civilian life through organized team sports, community involvement, and leadership opportunities.

After being invited to attend a photoshoot with acclaimed photographer Michael Stokes, he flew to California in December of 2014, with incredible excitement. His photos were so widely publicized that he soon gained exposure to the literary world like he’d always dreamed of. That opportunity launched him into his present writing career. He co-wrote the novel ‘A Lover’s Lament with author KL Grayson. The following year he released first solo novel, ‘Into the Nothing’ and will be releasing Wicked Little Words with author Stevie J. Cole. He is now writing full-time.

Excerpt

Hendrix cleared his throat, eyes barely open, and face flushed.

“Was that good?”

I couldn’t stop myself from huffing out the beginnings of a laugh. Describing anything about what Hendrix did to me as simply good was an absolute insult to the man and the hold he had over me.

“Why? Do you have a praise kink?” I asked, still trying to catch my breath.

“Probably, yes,” he answered softly.

“It was more than good.” I pushed the hair away from his face and pressed a soft kiss against his lips. “You’re…”

I trailed off, and Hendrix kissed me back.

“I’m what?” he asked.

“My worst nightmare, I think.”

“That’s a new one.” Hendrix leaned against the counter, his entire face relaxed, which was in stark contrast to the raging erection he sported.

“I don’t know you well enough to want the things you make me want.”

“Tell me more.” He dropped his forehead against my shoulder, and without thought I brought my arms around him. My fingertips danced across his shoulder blades and down the knobs of his spine before settling against the swell where his ass curved away from his lower back.

“I was at a kink club tonight.”

“I figured.”

“Tons of hot guys there.” My hands skated lower, over the roundness of his ass cheeks toward the backs of his thighs. As far as I could reach without contorting my posture. “Most of them undoubtedly down to fuck.”

“You should have.”

“Should have?” I pulled back, eyebrows raised. Hendrix avoided my stare until I tipped his chin up and forced it.

“Could have,” he murmured.

“Because we weren’t exclusive.”

Hendrix shrugged.

“I told you this already, but I’ll say it again so maybe you hear me better. I didn’t want any of them. I barely gave them a first look, let alone a second.” I grabbed his face, fingers against one cheek and thumb pressing into the other, puckering his lips. He narrowed his eyes at me like he didn’t trust what I was saying. I grabbed his dick in my other hand, hoping to erase any of his lingering doubt. My hand curling around his thick cock startled him, eyes widening before settling back into that lust-washed expression he’d had when he had a tongue full of my cum. “You’re the only person I’ve thought about since we met. The only man I want to fuck. The only man whose cock I want to suck.”

#Review – The End of August: Part Three by Rue Volley

The End of August : Part Three by [Rue Volley]

It’s 1985.
Leaves are falling.
The pumpkins are lit.
Bedroom walls are filled with posters of Teen WolfFright Night, and A Nightmare on Elm Street.

But for August East and his small band of unlikely friends, it’s all about defeating a demon that’s ruled the town of Whynot, Ohio, for half a century, all while hosting a killer party on Halloween.

You know. Normal stuff.

Goodreads

Review by Twinsie Kelly

Just WOW! I have no words. I have been sitting here for two days trying to figure out exactly how to describe this book. I have been left speechless and this does not happen very often. I am a bundle of all sorts of feels. There is an incredibly strong pull between East and Keller and you get all the deets on why! I love the bond within their circle of friends. Shy, Evie and Vincent absolutely make this story. They are the glue that really held this entire series together. The relationships between all of the characters is written in a very real way. So much so that when part three ended, I was completely wrecked. And I can’t even get started with the Halloween party and the demon that needs defeated. I did NOT expect the ending, at all!  I had a horrible book hangover, LOL! This series has gotten better and better with each book…..and I seriously am hoping for a spinoff or continuation because, dayum! I NEED MORE! The story is absolutely unforgettable! I feel like the characters are begging for more!! I highly recommend this series!!

#Review The End of August, Part Two by Rue Volley

The End of August: Part Two by [Rue Volley]

It’s 1985.

Jelly bracelets are on every wrist.

Beaded friendship pins are on every shoelace.

Cellphones are not a thing.

Slumber partiesroller skating rinks, and arcades are all the rage.

Every kid has a key to their home and knows how to babysit themselves.

And Molly Ringwald is everyone’s fantasy girl.

But for fifteen-year-old August East, his world revolves around his new house, his new friends, and a boy by the name of Keller West, that has stolen his heart.

Not to mention that whole haunted victorian home, the mysterious death of the last owner, and, oh yeah, the empty mausoleum in his backyard.

Review by Twinsie Kelly

This story has me all messed up! I am literally all over the place with this, but in the best possible way! Part one ended in a cliff hanger and this one is no different, but WHOA! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! I mean, I am strolling along reading the story, and we take a sharp right turn into a place I had no idea we were going, then ALL of the feels exploded! I audibly gasped and had to stop for a moment to catch my breath, and then I just couldn’t stop reading. I had to know everything. I NEEDED to know what was going to happen next. I am on the edge of my seat because I know the next collision is going to happen, but when it doesn’t happen right away because there is a different plot twist…..well, I am just beside myself. Please excuse me for keeping this review short, but I need to start Part Three. I literally can’t wait any longer. Ms. Volley, you have a new stalker because you have me hooked!
