All I am a British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!). When I have some spare time, I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi.
I’m an avid reader who turned to writing to combat my depression and anxiety. I have a love of travelling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality.
I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth, my heroines demure but with spunk, and my books full of dramatic suspense.

Father’s Insistence-Dark Sovereignty #3 by Anna Edwards

I received the book for my honest review.  SLAM DUNK!!!

Theodore grew up in a sheltered life….protected from the dark and evilness of his father. He was at the ceremony when Nicholas chose Victoria to be his leaving Joanna at the mercy of the highest bidder.  Joanna was bought, hid, abused, and neglected by Theodore’s father.  He would continue for a year until the time was right and misled Theodore into thinking it was the Cavendish brothers who mistreated Joanna.  Theodore wed Joanna to protect her.  By Joanna’s omissions, she validated Theodore’s father’s story.
Theodore immediately felt a connection to Joanna and wanted to protect her.  Slowly, Joanna came out of her shell and disclosed the real truths of abuser.
This was the wrap up of the Dark Sovereignty series and was wonderfully written.  You could feel the connect between Theodore and Joanna and cheered her on to come forward.  I absolutely loved the ending which is actually the beginning of the new generation.
Another well-written story Anna!
What do you have up your sleeve for your next project? hmmmmmmm? 🙂

Ok, this is the bit where I have to sell myself. Why is it so much easier to write about sexy blokes! Anyway.

In 2015 I was diagnosed with depression and anxiety. It was also around this time that I became one of the founding members of a dramatic/erotic/dark roleplaying group on Twitter. It was wildly popular with both English and American followers. The writing helped me to overcome my depression by giving me an outlet to channel my thoughts into and not sit around worrying all day about things that would never happen. I took over responsibility for management of the group and responsibility for the development of our storylines. As well as playing at least ten different characters in the group ranging from an innocent virgin, bloodthirsty assassin and even a male lover. The success of the role-play spurred me on to writing novels.

I have a love of travelling and like to bring this to my stories to give them the air of reality. Surrendered Control, my first book released in November 2016, combines two of my favourite travel destinations. India is where I lived for eighteen months with my husband and two children. My young son was only six months old when we travelled there. It was a fabulous time for us all and they learnt so much about the differing cultures, as well as, much to my husband’s chagrin, spending lots of money in the silk shops. The Control series will feature lots of international travel.

I have always been an avid reader. Mainly murder mystery in the past but with Beautiful Bastard I discovered a whole new set of novels and I haven’t looked back since. I like my heroes hot and hunky with a dirty mouth. My heroines demure but with spunk. And my books in a kick arse series.

Tainted Reasoning (Dark Sovereignty #2)

“Why would I let the world see him? He’s imperfect. No, he needs to stick to the shadows where he’ll not bring shame to this family.”

William Cavendish is…different. Too much so for his merciless father to bear publicly. He was hidden away from the world his entire life until, in one dark moment, he did the unthinkable to save his beloved brother, gaining his own freedom in the process. But liberty has its own price. William struggles with a world he doesn’t understand, emotions he’s never experienced…and an alarming taste for the dark side he’s discovered dwelling within him.

Formally educated in law, Tamara Bennet is unlike most women of the day. Not bad for the daughter of a lowly lady’s maid. When she learns a secret society was responsible for the torture of her closest acquaintance, Victoria Cavendish, she vows to employ any and all means—legal or otherwise—to bring the society to its knees. At her side is Victoria herself, as well as Victoria’s husband, Nicholas, and his brother—the intriguing and troubled William.

Delving ever deeper into London’s darkest shadows, an undeniable attraction blooms between William and Tamara, bringing them closer and closer…until their actions stir up perilous forces determined to tear them apart.

Tainted Reasoning, Dark Sovereignty Book 2  by Anna Edwards

I received the book for my honest review.

What can I say?!  Anna pulls us deeper into what remains of the Secret Society.  We learned that Nicolas was not like his evil father.  He married Victoria. Nicolas and William slowly started righting the wrongs of the Secret Society.  Victoria’s bestie, Tamara, was instantly drawn to William.  William grew up being hidden from the world by his father as well as being told he brought shame to the family…being less than the wonderful human being he was deep inside.  Just like Nicolas, William’s heart was good and that good would come out with Tamara.

William thought his rough, strong sexual desires and acts were evil. Oh baby, bring it on!!!  Tamara discovered that rough, strong sex is what she desired as well.  Tamara walks along side William and shows him he is not the only one who has Autism.  Tamara volunteered at a school that caters to those with Autism and brings William to visit as a surprise.  Seeing William open up and realize he is not a disgrace, was beautiful.

Viscount Hamilton is a *&%# bag.  Talk about warped.  Damn!  I anxiously await Joanna and Theodore’s story.  As evil as Hamilton is and all he has done, I have confidence that Anna will make sure he is properly castrated!!

Ok, this is the bit where I have to sell myself. Why is it so much easier to write about sexy blokes! Anyway.

Controlling The Past (Control Series Book 7)

It’s been over three decades since James and Sophie North’s parents saw their family savagely torn apart by the cruel actions of one malicious man. Both of them lost a vital piece of themselves that night so long ago. Pete was left a shadow of his former self, having failed to protect his only love. Miranda persevered for the sake of their children, but her grief remained.

Now, more than thirty years later, the child cruelly ripped from their arms has suddenly resurfaced—and all the love in the world may not be enough to reconcile their tragic pasts. For even as Pete and Miranda are still reeling from the knowledge of their newfound son, the powerful malevolence of their old enemy is already reaching out to destroy them again…this time from beyond the grave.

For the final time surrender to control.

Controlling the Past by Anna Edwards

I received a copy of the book for my honest review.

Another home run!  In Controlling the Past, Anna provided all the background on James and Sophie’s parents, Pete and Miranda.  The heartache dished out to the North family began with Miranda’s father.  What a sorry piece of horse crap of a human being!! The heartache Pete and Miranda dealt with in losing their first born son and all the years they looked for him.  Miranda’s “mother” heart knew Ryan was still alive.  Miranda’s father actions and treatment of Ryan while growing up slammed Ryan’s heart closed to how much love Pete and Miranda had for the lost son.  Although Miranda’s father met his maker, that hatred drove Ryan to seek revenge.

Without giving too much away……Ryan was able to get close and be a trusted person in the North close circle. Nope…didn’t quite see that one coming. At a time that should have been full of happiness and cheer, Pete and Miranda’s vow renewal, they were dealt more obstacles.  The strong, power love in the North family for each other was finally able to break through the lies Ryan was told growing up.  The North’s were complete.

I loved the ending and how Amy closed the chapters for each of them with writing her book.  I look forward to reading Ryan’s story.

Review by Becky

I received the book for my honest review.

I haven’t read Claire before Beauty; however, I’m a fan of everything Anna.  I will be creeping Claire’s work now!  Kudos!

What hot-blooded woman wouldn’t want to tangle with that hunk of burnin’ hot lover, Mars?!!!  Just makes my timbers shiver!  When you dislike the villain, the authors do their work.  Pluto – what a tool!  Greedy, evil, and all things sinister.  He needs his appendage peeled.  The magnetism between Vicky/Venus and Mar is undeniable from the get go.  I thoroughly enjoyed reading how Vicky came into her powers and how she and Mars had to overcome their own trials.  The power of love trumps evil.

I look forward to seeing how Pluto gets his since getting emotions didn’t halt him.  There’s lots of Gods and Goddess so reading how they all play out will be awesome!  I can’t wait.  KUDOS Ladies!!!!!

Review by Becky

I received this book for my honest review.

Again, Anna, you hit a home run. I knew that Zain and Izzy would end up together and it would not be without comflict. Zain just couldn’t move on without Izzy. Trying to substitute honey sandwiches for his hunny, Izzy, didn’t work. His honey sandwich appetite just grew.

For Izzy to finally share with Zain that she knew he was a shifter even before he left her, showed Zain all he needed to know. Izzy was his. Anna weaves a beautiful story working through how so many people judge others by their differences. They fear those differences and instead of welcoming the opportunity to learn and grow together, distrust and dislike run a muck.

Without giving any spoilers….. Iceland and the events. HOLY MOLY!!! I can’t wait until Nuka gets what’s coming to him. Kas’s pack will be successful and will show that family is not always blood.

WOW!!!  The arrogance of self-importance of what some people think and feel of themselves.  Whew!  Anna, the story you told is fantastic.  The old man Duke and even the fathers of the girls were assholes.  You could see glimpses of the good and distaste in the Earl early on.  It was so very sad the way William was treated because of this autism, yet we all know that even in today’s society when we have all the information available to us, people will shun others who are different.  The differences are what make the world go around.

Elizabeth, in doing everything for greed.  Elizabeth was trained by her father and knew what would be expected of her.  She played the role just perfectly. What a bitch!  She got what she deserved.  Poor Amelia.  She was also trained by her father and knew what would be expected of her.  She did the only thing she could think of that would put to rest her torment.  Amelia had a good soul.

Now Victoria…..she was kept isolated and was not trained by her father.  The events of what would be before her were unknown to her.  Victoria was a strong woman and would not be broken by the evil of the people and events.  Through everything that happened she and the Earl, Nicholas, would fall in love.  Their love would not come without torment and conflicts.  Their hearts would overcome.

Anna, a wonderful story and so very well written.  I am anxiously awaiting to see how William and Tamara’s story evolves!  Wonderful series!!!

#NewRelease #Review #TwinsieForTheDayBecky – Controlling Disgrace by Anna Edwards

Controlling Disgrace

Colette Fisher is the woman who was responsible for James North’s beating so we should hate her, yes? As with all of the Control Series all is not what it seems though.

She’s suffered oppression for many years; she’s ashamed of her sexual desires and fears what will happen if she embraces them. Can Michael give her the strength she needs to be the woman she was born she aspires to?

Michael is mourning the loss of his wife of ten years after tragedy struck. They were childhood sweethearts, and he doesn’t know if he’ll ever be able to move forward with his life. That is until he meets Colette.

Controlling Shame is a short novella from the author Anna Edwards; it completes a story that has been over a year in the making and will lay a massive ghost to rest. It is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone.

Step into a world of Control!

Review by Becky

I was given a copy of the book for an honest review.

When I first read about how Colette started the fury that unleashed on James, I didn’t know what she has said that was so bad that her brothers would cause the harm to James that they did.  The Prologue was perfect to explain what really happened.  Colette’s shame was the pleasure and enjoyment of the physical connection with James.  She felt loved with his gifts.  Her shame came from the ignorance of her brothers from their brain-washing of the couple that took them in and off the streets. Colette was harmed by her brothers.  My heart ached for everything Colette went through.

When Colette was hospitalized, the efforts of James and Amy put Michael in Colette’s life.  He willingly agreed to answer any and all Colette’s questions on the BDSM lifestyle to help her heal.  Michael and Colette fit together and helped each other heal.  This is a beautiful story.

Being a novella, this was a quick read yet one you wouldn’t want to miss because it filled the Colette gap.  Now, who the hell is Ryan??? LOL!!!  I’m waiting!!!! 🙂

Fallen For Shame

Teagan Holland left her old pack under a cloud of prejudice. Her breed, an Asiatic wild dog, considered nothing but vermin. But as the Glacial Blood Pack are about to find out she is one the kindest people they will ever meet. The accident prone dog also has a strength within her that will be needed to help stave off the now homeless Nuka Lincoln’s attempts at revenge. Will she regret taking this job?

Tyler Quinn has been a fighter for the pack since he was eighteen. He is mysterious, and nobody knows that much about why he joined them. All they do know is that he is a fantastic cook and a bit of a computer geek. Behind the man he portrays is a secret that threatens to send him on a path that he thought he had left behind. Will the white powder be his downfall?

Fallen for Shame is the third book in the highly recommended Glacial Blood Series by the author Anna Edwards. It is set in a paranormal world full of drama, suspense and great love affairs. Plus it features a secret that must never be told for fear of the consequences.

A family isn’t always blood; it’s the people that accept you for who you are.

Review by Becky

I received a copy of this book for my honest review.

Tyler…how wouldn’t want you?  A man that loves to cook!  Teagan, a sweetheart, who trips over her own feet and will crack you up.  The draw to each other is undeniable.  Tyler has a dark past and one that he has worked very hard to keep secret from the rest of the Glacier pack.  Evil lurks and capitalizes on Tyler’s past.  Teagan, a wild dog shifter, is looked down upon by others not in the Glacier pack. Others do not see Teagan for the intelligent, fair individual she is.  Prejudice is a terrible thing.  Tyler’s desire to protect Teagan from his past, opens the door to evil and he gives in to protect his love, his mate.  Teagan’s intelligence and fairness earns her a seat in the council.  Teagan grows past the prejudices and the Glacier pack comes together to pull Tyler from the dark. Yes, we get our HEA and Teagan gets Tyler’s mark as his mate.  Zain, you honey bear….can’t wait to find out what your story is!

Although this is fictional, the story parallels how humans can and do treat each other.  Evil always picks on the vulnerable.  That vulnerability doesn’t mean a weak person.  It can be the low thoughts and beliefs on oneself.  Prejudice.  I need not say anymore.  How people can think they are better than others because of what they do, who they are, where they live, and all those other things is a tragedy to the human race.

What the Glacier pack shows us is that is isn’t always blood that makes you a family. You rocked it again Anna!!

Ok, this is the bit where I have to sell myself. Why is it so much easier to write about sexy blokes! Anyway.

I am a British author, from the depths of the rural countryside near London. In a previous life, I was an Accountant from the age of twenty-one. I still do that on occasions, but most of my life is now spent intermingling writing while looking after my husband, two children and two cats (probably in the inverse order to the one listed!). When I have some spare time I can also be found writing poetry, baking cakes (and eating them), or behind a camera snapping like a mad paparazzi.

I like my hero’s hot and hunky with a dirty mouth. My heroines demur but with spunk. And my books in a kick arse series.

Book 1-

James, James, James. Wow….all I can say! He met his match with Amy.  Damn…in the first few pages James showed his dominant side and Amy soaked it up. Amy was strong minded and stood her ground with James….except in the bedroom. James’ past plays a big part in how he is today.  Amy accepted James as he was and didn’t fear his past. The power struggle between James and Amy is great and watch out for sex… hot, hot hot!
Although James tries to surrender some control to Amy, he struggled with it. Amy needed space and walked away from James to find that space. I enjoyed the book so much that I drove right into Book 2. James and Amy were meant to be together and I couldn’t wait to see how Anna brings them together as she continued writing their story. A page turner I couldn’t put down!!
Loved it!

Book 2 –
Purchased Book
Of course James kept a watch on Amy. James and Amy finally got back together. Amy’s strong will and independence was a force that wouldn’t be pushed aside. James struggled with coming to terms with that force while keeping Amy safe and with him. Amy helped James heal through the results of his past so that he could give Amy what she needed….shared control. Their relationship was to be built on compromise outside the bedroom but James wasn’t giving up any control in the bedroom except for the fact that Amy had him hook, line, and sinker. Steamy hot!
OMG….and then Amy willing and wanting to go into the swanky club with James, his sister and her new husband …holy moly you knew it was gonna be good. It was! Then……People from James’ past play into the story. What spook!  James ‘ bodyguard Matthew and Amy’s bodyguard Sonia connect and are an item too… I am thinking that they will be the main characters in the future…😉
I couldn’t put the book down! A fantastic read! Can’t wait to see what Book 3 holds!
