#wotr25 #attendingauthor #twinsiefortheday #review Depravity by: MJ Haag

**Adult Romance**

Benella is concerned with two things – avoiding the two village boys who torment her and scrounging for food to help feed her family. Unfortunately, the best wild fruit and vegetables are near the walls of the estate, a dark misty place inhabited by an unforgiving beast.

When her tormentors lock her behind the massive gates, Benella knows her fate is sealed. Yet, the fate isn’t one she expects. Her encounter with the beast starts a bizarre cycle of bargaining for her freedom, a freedom the beast seems determined to see her lose.

A classic fairy tale with a new twist, the Beauty and the Beast saga begins with Depravity.

Intended for mature readers due to sexual situations and moderate language.

I loved this book and this series. I loved this re-telling of beauty and the beast. Benella’s character is so relatable. Almost had a cinderella vibe with her sisters due to them acting horrible. Would recommend to anyone and especially to those who love re-tellings with twists.

Nicole Craig’s debut in the Susan Stoker Operation Alpha World was a hit. Like visiting with old friends. I loved getting to know Francesca and Tripoli (Ethan). The characters were well developed and enjoyed the suspense and intrigue. The hair tie on the wrist swoon worthy for me.

Can’t wait to see what Nicole brings to this world in the future.

#TwinsieforthedayLaura #review #Wotr25 #attendingauthor Reel Love by: Kate Hawthorne

A young brat and his buttoned-up best friend together for an unexpected and romantic weekend in Los Angeles. Is it a recipe for disaster or a chance at real love?

Archer has been in love with his best friend for years, but he’d never admit it out loud. Comparing every man he meets to the only man he wants, everyone falls short of the high ideal of Clint Taylor. On the heels of a date gone wrong, Clint ends up the last place either of them expect…Archer’s bed. There’s a kiss and another, and then everything changes.

Clint doesn’t understand some of the things Archer wants from him, but he knows he isn’t a quitter and Archer deserves the best. Determined to be the man and the Daddy Archer deserves, the two men find themselves together for a romantic and kinky weekend beneath the bright lights of Hollywood.

Archer is rich and Clint isn’t.
Clint is patient and Archer could never be.
Archer knows what he wants and Clint doesn’t believe he’s enough.

With so much stacked against them, is it too much to hope that love is the one thing that goes right?

Reel Love brings together a bratty boy, a Daddy who doesn’t know he’s a Daddy, a gorgeous L.A. backdrop, and enough steam to fog up all the windows in a high-rise hotel.

This book is part of the Destination Daddies multi-author series. Each book can be read as a standalone, but there are so many destinations and Daddies to discover, why not grab them all?

This makes the fifth of Kate Hawthorne’s books l’ve read and it’s just as amazing as the first. Though shorter than the others, the character development is on point and I love the interplay between them. Archer is in every way the brat and Clint is his perfect opposite. Great read all the way around.

Review by Polly
This is my first read by either of the authors. I love a good MC story and Ms. Prince and Ms. McCabe have delivered ten-fold! Josh (Red) Luke discovers a woman laying at the side of the road, almost beaten to death – but still surviving. His military training (medic) kicks into high gear because he will never leave a “man” behind. Once he has the women safely under his care/protection – he immediately falls for her. Beaten to within an inch of her life and left for dead, Nova has a long battle of recovery in front of her. She witnessed her friend being killed…and the killer also thought he finished the job with Nova. Now the he knows she is alive – he wants her dead and is looking for her. Nova, or Roadkill (road name) is still trying to piece her memory and life back together. Waves of memories come and go and start falling back into place little by little. With the help of Red and the rest of the MC crew she is gaining strength and confidence back. Lots of twists and turns that kept the story interesting and something I couldn’t put down. Red and Roadkill are perfect for each other. They just need to take things one day at time to see what happens next. He wants her to be his ole lady…and she is just not wanting to be a piece of property. Great storyline, good pace, awesome characters. Can’t wait to dive into the rest of this series! It is a little on the long side – but you need to realize that you are getting to know the “world and workings” of the Steel MC Montana Charter.

He wouldn’t take my money. He wanted my innocence instead.

When Nikolai Romanov came looking for my brother, I emptied my savings hoping I could pay off his debt. But it wasn’t even close to enough, so Nikolai Romanov decided to take me instead.

I didn’t expect a Russian mafia boss like him to be gentle with me… and he wasn’t.

Not when he spanked me for daring to wear panties under the dress he chose for me, and certainly not when he stripped me out of that same dress and made me scream in his bed.

He told me I would be his for a month, but the way he looks at me says I’m his forever…

OMG! Really that’s all I have to say… OMG! I was sucked in by the first few pages and stayed firmly seated until the last page was read! This dark mafia romance has it all, steam passion, suspense, “mafia” dealings, family issues, etc. and Charlie and Nikolai (tossing out a Chefs Kiss) – they are fantastic! Oliver, well he can just kick rocks! Would definitely recommend this book!

#review #audiobook #MMRomance Bloom by: N.R. Walker Narrated by: Glen Lloyd

Keats McCulloch opened his florist shop in Sydney two years ago and he’s living his dream. Even though running his own business leaves little room for a personal life, he is very single, sometimes lonely, but otherwise happy.

Linden Acres has sworn off men for all eternity. Armed with his cheating boyfriend’s credit card and a floriography list, he decides to buy him the perfect farewell gift. The biggest, prettiest bouquet of ‘murder flowers’ his money can buy.

Keats convinces Linden to avoid possible jail time and go with a more subdued, somewhat passive aggressive bouquet of black roses and basil leaves. After all, nothing else says you’re dead to me and I hate you with such elegance.

Keats finds Linden hilarious and charming, and Linden thinks Keats is kind of wonderful . . . It’s too bad he’s sworn off men forever. Yet their paths cross again and again, as if fate was planting seeds in the hope that one will bloom.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

This book was absolutely perfect. I listened to the audiobook. I’m not sure if that made the experience even better but I loved this story and these 2 men. My face hurts from smiling so much.
Keates is a florist. He knows everything about flowers. The little game played throughout the book with flowers and their meanings had me swooning. Keates is a hopeless romantic. He showers Linden with all of his affection very early on. These 2 just clicked and when you know you know. Their relationship moved at a lesbian relationship pace and I loved every minute of it.

I would also like to add that I am obsessed with Glens voice. He is the reason  I love audio books right now. I could listen to the man read a phone book.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

This is a new to me author and was recommended by a friend. I switched between ebook and audio. There was a bunch of stuff going on and I was trying to keep up. I felt a whole lot of anger and repulsion towards one character in particular. I feel like there is only so much I can say about this one because there were so many twists and turns and if I say too much it’ll ruin the experience. Keep an open mind and happy reading!

#Review #thriller #suspense –Hidden Pictures by: Jason Rekulak

A wildly inventive spin on the supernatural thriller, about a woman working as a nanny for a young boy with strange and disturbing secrets.

Mallory Quinn is fresh out of rehab when she takes a job as a babysitter for Ted and Caroline Maxwell. She is to look after their five-year-old son, Teddy.

Mallory immediately loves it. She has her own living space, goes out for nightly runs, and has the stability she craves. And she sincerely bonds with Teddy, a sweet, shy boy who is never without his sketchbook and pencil. His drawings are the usual fare: trees, rabbits, balloons. But one day, he draws something different: a man in a forest, dragging a woman’s lifeless body.

Then, Teddy’s artwork becomes increasingly sinister, and his stick figures quickly evolve into lifelike sketches well beyond the ability of any five-year-old. Mallory begins to wonder if these are glimpses of a long-unsolved murder, perhaps relayed by a supernatural force.

Knowing just how crazy it all sounds, Mallory nevertheless sets out to decipher the images and save Teddy before it’s too late.

Review by Twinsie Tenise

My January has been full of books recommended by friends. This one came highly recommended and landed me in my 2nd impromptu buddy read of the year. It’s fun when you have someone to compare notes with while reading.
Hidden Pictures begins with Mallory, a college aged woman, who is going to interview for a live in nanny position. From the beginning the wife is lovely but the husband doesn’t even want Mallory in their house. It was the first of many odd af interactions. Little did she know when she agreed to take the job she would be signing up for a summer she will never forget. With that being said, I’m not sure if will forget it anytime soon either. My mind is blown! When I thought I had it all figured out– the epic plot twist left me reeling. Happy reading and remember nothing is ever quite what it seems to be.

#Review #MMRomance #Tattoos –Flash (Ink Slingers#1) by: K.M. Neuhold

Lewis tattoos himself on my brain instantly. Too bad this whole situation is about to get messier than spilled ink.

Lewis

Clingy, needy, Too Much

Just a few choice words from men who never deserved me anyway.

I’m not going to make the same mistakes again though. I plan to ride the motorcycle hottie of my dreams just until we both get bored.

Besides, who has time for anything but a quick fling when the jerks at the tattoo shop next door insist on doing everything they can to annoy the hell out of me with some stupid prank war?

Arrow

Possessive, intense, too much

My exes weren’t wrong about me. I have a habit of falling too hard for men who never feel the same.

Meeting Lewis in a rainstorm, steaming up his backseat during a flash downpour… maybe this is my sign to try something casual for a change…

And then there’s the prank war between my motorcycle club and our new neighbor. Whatever the twink did to get on Jag’s bad side, the whole thing sounds a lot less appealing than losing myself in MY pretty twink with a cute butt and big, blue eyes who insists this isn’t anything real.

Is he right? Is this thing between us nothing more than a Flash tattoo that time will fade? There’s only one way to find out…

Lewis is driving home one night and his car stops working. Right after calling for a tow, his night in shining armor or in this case a silver fox on a Harley pulls over to help.
Arrow comes upon a stranded motorist who also happens to be the most beautiful man he has ever seen. After their brief encounter neither man can get the other out of their mind. As the weeks wear on, life goes on as usual but the 2 can’t stay away from one another. One wants to keep it casual and the other agrees but will either man be able to keep that promise?
This was a super sexy as well as funny and cute May/December romance. It was my first book by this author and I’m jumping right into the next book in the series.

Ugh, what the what did I just listen to?!
Last night , a friend told me they were reading this book. (It was Twinsie Jo. I’m sure you will be seeing her review soon if you haven’t already.) I was intrigued with the blurb, so I dove right in.
For at least 75% of this book, I was either irritated or angry. The other 25%, I was confused af. I’m still replaying it in my head, waiting for my friend to finish so we can compare notes.  Well notes have been compared and it seems her feelings matched mine. lol I love an impromptu buddy read!

If you have limits to what you will read, I would highly suggest reading the trigger warnings first.
I love this author, and even though I know she can write an epic twist, I never see them coming.
