I received this book from the author for an honest review.

OMG She did it to me again!!  She shocked me with this book!!  I loved the darkness of the opening prologue and then the mystery that surrounded the story!!  The Who-Done-It was great and a great way to weave the story of Triston and Edith together.

The story begins with 4 friends giggling before their friend’s wedding night.  They were helping her gather the confidence she needed for her new husband.  When suddenly, she is found dead…the three ladies set after to catch her killer.

The story jumps forward and we meet Triston and his awesome dad…please read that with full sarcasm.  Triston sees a woman in the tree but what he really sees is her knickers and well that my friends makes him go and see who this woman is!!  The couple met up a few times and he learns about her through is younger sisters who are entering their 1^st season.

Edith is drawn to Triston because she thinks he may know something due to his association to their friend’s killer.  Each time they meet is more and more inappropriate then the last time.  When they kiss, well things get a little crazy because then Edith is taken and it’s up to Triston and the other friends to find her plus figure out WHO HAS HER!!!!

This book was a super-fast read.  The beginning of the book might be a bit slower than the last half but I think it’s because we are meeting all the suspects and other people of interest for the series.  I cannot wait to read Luci’s book because she is one tough cookie.  She will not fall easily and when she does look out because I think she is going to be not so happy about it!!

EEEP!!  Its been a bit since I have read a book in the Dark Haven series but I sure didn’t miss a beat.  The men are still super yummy and the ladies are oh so sassy!!

Sawyer is an ex-con who I looking to protect his family from the gang bangers who have decided to take root in the small town of Bear Flat.  Sawyer is not about the find love in this town and the woman who are throwing themselves at him because of his convict status make him roll his eyes but when a feisty, won’t back down from a bad guy gives HIM the time of day…Sawyer is rocked to his core.

Mallory is the sweet, introvert who happens to fall head over heels for her neighbor who happened to rescue her and a young girl from a bad situation.  After a night of “fun” and miscommunication, Mallory is totally embarrassed and a bit heart hurt over Sawyers rejection of her.

The two of them continue their miscommunications and begin to rub the other the wrong way.   When the run into each other at Dark Haven…well things take a turn for the better!!

When Sawyer and Mallory decide explore things, Mallory is all in with her heart but Sawyer resists.  When Mallory lets the words slip one day she knows Sawyer feels the same way but he still rejects her heart…..but when the final rejection comes from him to her in front of the town…yup I understood but still wanted to smack him upside the head.

I loved Sawyer and his over protective heart.  I loved Mallory and her calming yet sensitive way that let Sawyer open up to her on his own terms without pushing him when he wasn’t ready.  I am super excited to read more in the series and catch up on the couple of books I have misses!!
