I was given the book by the author for an honest review.

Kylie is the queen on snarky language. I love that about her stories. I always know I will get banter or humor with characters.  This book was another great one.

I do have to say I loved that this book wasn’t like her other rockers.  Garrett is kinda a broken man.  His wife and band are gone.  He goes and is trying to rebuild his life and happens to move in next door to Ani.  Ani is also a woman who has some issues herself to work through.

The chemistry between the two is a great slow burn.  They have a delicious spark that ignites when they are together more and more.  They have a lot of stuff to work thought but that is what makes the story all the more amazing of a read.

I absolutely loved it and would more of the side characters if they are developed for more books.

Kylie has such a wonder way of telling a story with a new spin.  I enjoyed seeing Ani and Garrett’s story unfold in this small-town hideaway.

Ani ran home after being in the big city to hide away. Garrett lost the love of his life and ran away to hide from everyone and everything.  Ani never expected her new neighbor to be the one and only Garrett that she used to fangirl over. Garrett never expected to have a neighbor that could help him learn to live again. 

I loved watching these two “not” date and get to know one another.  Will Garrett’s fame be too much for Ani to handle as a small-town girl. Can Garrett make a life in a small-town after being in the spotlight for so long? I enjoyed getting to know all the characters in this book and I want to know so much more about some of them.  Smith really has intrigued me along with the other band members and would love to know more of their stories.

When I saw the author was writing a new book, I was in.  I have really enjoyed all the books I have read….I think I have read them all??…anyway, but when  I Found out it was mythology….DUDE I WAS SOLD!!!!

This book starts out with a rag tag team of humans hiding away form Zeus the Douche Bag (yes the capitals are needed) since he has ruined Earth and decided to run it from Hollywood.  The dude is seriously a jerk.  Anyway back to our team of humans hiding out.  Knox, Alex, Eric, Reyna, and Dwayne are all living the best life they can trading with other communities and just getting buy.  They see some God loving Hawks dump a body in the desert.  They run over and decide to save her not knowing what trouble she could be bringing to their door…..UHM yeah it’s a lot of trouble.  LOL

The red headed women awakens and is clueless who she is or why she was dumped.  The team takes her in but yeah Reyna is not thrilled, and neither is Knox.  The humans decide to work and see if the woman remembers stuff.  Slowly she remembers her name and her pet shows up too….kinda sus but hey ok.  When the big twists start to unravel it was insane and soooooo good.

Legit I was loving all that we learn about Callie.  Her relationship with Knox was actually pretty hilarious as well.  They really were enemies to lovers in the best way and the way it mirrors her family….Chef’s Kiss…I loved it so much.

For real I need the next book like today at 5PM!!!  LOL

I purchased this book and audio,

The narration of the story *Chef’s Kiss* was absolutely perfect.  Heather and Jeffrey brought the characters to life 110%.  I will be honest in that I LOVE Jeffrey’s audio and when I see his name, I am super excited.

I grabbed this book because R. L. Caulder will be attending a book signing I am going too. She has so many books to pick BUT this one had audio.  It was the winner.  I gotta admit chance is why I grabbed the book, but I am so addicted to Kira and her men.

I loved the fact this book was kinda a shifter’s version of Cinderella…I mean she is a gross human the Alpha and his wife, Maya, took in.  But once the Alpha’s mate was killed by daimoma, he blames her and is keeping her in misery to punish her.

Kira had only known happiness the few years she was with Jameson and his mother, Maya.  Once Maya was killed she was only bullied and teases horrible by all the wolves in the pack  Jameson and Sophia were the worst ones to her.  There was only one bright spot in her day. Milo always would protect her.  He has made it clear he has feelings for her, but she knows once the full moon hits when he turns 21 just like the rest of the pack, he will find his mate and forget her.  She guards her heart and hopes one day she can find happiness too.

The closer the pack comes to the next full moon, Kira notices Seth, Jameson’s bestie, looking at her like a pork chop.  She is angry that NOW he admits he has feelings.  Sorry Seth not happening.  Kira does as she is always expected to do when the full moon hits and everyone changes….even KIRA!!!???  Milo, Seth, AND Jameson all run to her because they feel the pull to their “Fated Mate”.  The wolves all see who for her she is but the men have issue except Milo.  Seth soon realizes he needs to listen to his wolf but Jameson…well he is a dick.  Mega dick who is so blinded with hatred for Kira.

Kira soon learns she is has the powers to save the shifters but a cliffy happens when she soon discovers what is happening and who is leading the daimoma.

I can’t wait to see what happens next!!!

Lauren Helms is a romance author her nerdy and flirty contemporary words. Lauren has forever been an avid reader from the beginning. After starting a book review website, that catapulted her fully into the book world, she knew that something was missing. While working for a video game strategy guide publisher, she decided to mix what she knew best–video games and romance. She decided to take the plunge and write her first novel, Level Me Up.
