I hate to see a great series come to a end and unfortunately this is it for the Fated Mates series. If anyone could end this series with a bang it would be Meredith. When we first met her she was breaking into the Fenrir corporation and Grant, as the New York alpha, had sentenced her to 10 years under his command instead of sending her to the lycan prison. As a lone wolf she was not happy to be stuck in one place for so long, but she would take it over prison.
She became besties with Jade, the super smart lycan scientist who found her fated mate in Taming the Beast, and Lara, a super powerful witch who found her mate in Witch’s Mate, both employed at Fenrir. She is a total smart a**, has no filter on what comes out of her mouth, and I love her!! I want to be besties with her!!!
Daric is a warlock who is working with the evil mage Stefan. He was in on the kidnaping of Cady Vfrost. He was captured and held prisoner at Fenrir, but has proven he isn’t that he isn’t really with Stefan by trying to kill him. He really had no choice but to follow him as he was holding his mother prisoner to get Daric to do his bidding.
I forgot to mention he a chocolate smelling, man bun wearing, hunk of a man too!!!
Meredith and her mouth have been assigned to be Daric’s guard while he works the group to bring down Stefan and his mages once and for all. Revenge is all that he has on his mind, revenge for what Stefan has done to his family, for the years that he has used Daric’s mother to insure his cooperation. However, there is something about the foul mouth lycan female that keeps pulling him to her and takes his mind somewhat away from that.
We are introduced to Meredith’s lone wolf brothers when they come to tell her that their adopted father is dead. Brother’s that are drop dead yummy!!!
What happens next is total craziness!! A traitor within the council, more kidnappings, hilarious bff conversations, unicorn underwear, Disney princesses!!! All the craziness is worth the beautiful ending though.
Oh, and just as I was thinking I will miss these characters and wish that we learned more about Mer’s brothers, there was a lovely surprise that I don’t want to spoil, but it’s AWESOME!!!!!
