I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy Mother….what have they done to me?  I am totally and forever ruined by Sev.   He owns a piece of my soul…and Sadists scare the ever-loving crap outta me.  #WhatHappened????

Ok so here goes…….I loved that there are references to Beauty and the Beast in this book because honestly THAT is a true representation of these two flawed individuals.

Sev….*Sigh* If I thought he might let me curl up in his lap I would and try to make all the hurt go away buuuut remember he is a sadist and well he kinda digs the pain.  He is so closed off and afraid to let people in.  When he loves, he does it fierce and with all the loyalty he has.  When he begins to let our Minnow in, and he tells his story….the anguish you feel and the hurt you have.  You my reaction is the same as Minnows.  I was ready to cut a B!!!

Minnow is the most amazing person.  She meets Sev and is drooling immediately but she can feel the Dominant in him.  She is a moth to his flame.  She is all for it and pushes him not knowing all his history.  When he finally accepts her into his heart, holy sweet Jesus!!! The ballroom will never be the same!! *Snickers because you have no clue what I am talking about!*

Now the two of them have a trusty side kick names Ro. I FLOVE him.  He is the right person to help our H/h get together *snickers again* .  He is the perfect fit of friend and tag team partner for the couple plus there is an under lying need there he has to have a connection much like Sev and Minnow.

The end of the book is a bit of a cliffy….we are left with some of Sev’s past coming back to haunt him.  So we need to know if Sev and Minnow are strong enough to weather this storm together or will Sev’s fear and past force him to push her and is best friend away.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I love these ladies’ writings and have been a fan since their first book came out.

This book is a sweet and kinda predictable story about a guy and a girl who run into each other.  The girl, Alessandra, has no clue who the hottie, Jace, even is.   Then Jace is bet by a friend and he needs to get Alessandra to go out with him.  She is like not even close to thinking he is worth her time.   But her friends convince her to go out with the hottie and give him a chance.

The banter is funny between the characters but I didn’t feel the heat like I usually do and especially from their fist books.  One thing I did love about the story was Alessandra was kinda a hot mess.  LOL  She was super smart but kinda clueless in social situations…….like if you talked to her you would think AWKWARD which I thought was hilarious because the authors themselves say and do things that cause them to laugh at themselves.  So I kept thinking “Was the Elizabeth or Hayley who wrote that scene?”

I liked the story and if you are wanting to read something sweet and easy then this is a great book.  Its pretty angst free but has a fun feel to it.

Elizabeth Hayley is actually “Elizabeth” and “Hayley,” two friends who love reading romance novels to obsessive levels. This mutual love prompted them to put their English degrees to good use by penning their own. The product is Pieces of Perfect, their debut novel. They learned a ton about one another through the process, like how they clearly share a brain and have a persistent need to text each other constantly (much to their husbands’ chagrin).

They live with their husbands and kids in a suburb of Philadelphia. Thankfully, their children are still too young to read.

Elizabeth Hayley’s writing motto is best captured by the words of Patrick Dennis: “I always start with a clean piece of paper and a dirty mind.”

I tore my attention from Hyde and gave it back to Tatum when she said, “I’ll call you tomorrow.”

Hyde’s presence had pretty much wiped all coherent thought from my mind, so I simply nodded and murmured, “Okay.”

As she and Nitro walked away from us, Hyde moved closer. His scent almost hypnotised me, if that was even possible. Looking down at me, he said, “What are you drinking?” The husky tone of his voice was like the final nail in my coffin. He could lead me down the path to sin with that voice.

“A cosmo please.”

He turned to the waiting bartender and ordered drinks before shifting his gaze back to me. His body was so damn close it almost pressed against mine. His eyes dropped to my chest. “You weren’t made to be subtle, were you, sugar?”

“Can’t say that word’s in my vocabulary, no.” The way he was devouring my body told me I’d made the best decision when I bought the black dress I wore tonight. Knee length with a plunging neckline and accentuated with a belt around my waist, it clung to every curve I had. My girls were up and proudly out, just the way I liked them. I mean, if you had it, flaunt it, right? And I’d had the red in my hair touched up that afternoon. It hung in lazy vivid red curls to just below my breasts. I wasn’t sure which part of me he thought wasn’t subtle, but I guessed it had something to do with my dress by the way he seemed unable to draw his gaze from my body.

Finally he found his way back up to my face. The heat flashing in his eyes shot a round of lust through my veins. Good God, this man, though. I wondered if he had any idea of the storm he caused within me. “Don’t ever add it.” If what he said didn’t make my legs sway a little, the forceful, gravelly way he said it did.

The bartender placed our drinks on the counter, distracting us from each other. Hyde dropped some cash on the bar, took a mouthful of his whisky and looked back at me while I got down as much of my drink as I could in one mouthful. God knew, I needed it. I could stand my ground with any man, but Hyde had a way of catching me off guard.

“You calm down after that thing about owing me money this morning?” And there he went, flipping my feelings about him on their head.

I fixed him with a look that let him know I wasn’t impressed. “I didn’t have anything to calm down from.”

“You seemed all worked up about it.”

I threw some more of my cocktail down my throat. “I wasn’t.” But I was getting there now, that was for sure.

He drank some more whisky, keeping his eyes steady on mine. “Okay.”

Okay? Oh no he didn’t. He didn’t get to end a conversation with that bullshit. “Okay? Seriously, you’re going to end with that?”

“It seemed pointless to argue.”

I finished my drink and placed the empty glass down with some force. Sliding off my stool, I said, “We weren’t arguing. I was simply telling you like it was.”

“Yeah, I’ve picked that up about you.”

My eyes practically popped out of their sockets. “Picked up what about me?”

“That you like to tell men like it is.”

“I do not! You just have this way of pushing my buttons. I feel like it’s you, not me.”

His lips twitched. “Sugar, if I knew which buttons I was pushing, I’d push them some more. I never said I didn’t like the way you told me how it was.”

I snatched my bag off the bar. I needed a moment to get my thoughts under control. In the space of seconds I’d switched from wanting him to wanting to smack him to wanting him again. My mind needed a break from the whiplash. I took a step away from the bar and said, “I’ll have another cosmo.”

Without waiting for his response, I headed in the direction of the ladies room. I’d almost made it there when a hand slid around my waist and I was pushed up against the wall in the dark hallway. A hard body pushed against mine as the hand around my waist slid down to settle on my ass and warm breath whispered across my cheek. “My cock likes that attitude of yours. Surprised the fuck outta me, but I can’t deny I want more of it.”

The proof of his statement ground against me, sparking need all over me. Every inch of my skin blazed with desire. I gripped his shirt with both hands and found his eyes. “You and I weren’t made for each other, Hyde.”

“I’m not saying we were.”

My body went to war with my mind. It fought me kicking and screaming, desperate for what he was offering, but I didn’t want to surrender. “So what’s the point of starting something?”

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

This is the second book in the Olento Research series.  Adelaide is trying to round up all the werewolves before they cause anymore havoc. She was able to locate and bring a few of them to the Lucidites. However, Conner feels guilty after attacking Adelaide and runs as far as he can from her and the Lucidites finding himself falling into his old habits. Mika is not giving up he has added his own element of surprise for the wolves and Lucidites with another experiment and an unseen undercover spy.

The twist and turns mixed with the suspense and humor kept me turning pages to find out what was going to happen next. The dynamic between Adelaide “Freckles” and Rox’s “Hooker FBI Agent” had me in stitches. I see more and more of Ren coming out in Adelaide.  I enjoyed learning more about all the warewolves and watching how some are learning to accept the wolf inside them and how others just are not coexisting with theirs at all.  Absolutly love when you get a glimpse of characters from Sarah’s other series, like Dr. Dave Raydon from the Vagabond Circus Series. Oh and we get to see a little of Lucien’s powers at work too.

Sarah Noffke did a wonderful job blending her Dream travelers, warewolves, evil villain, suspense and tons of Ren like snarkiness in this book. I cannot wait for more of this series and get to know these wolves, Adelaide, and Rox better.

I bought this book from the author after meeting her at a signing plus seeing this book and thinking HEY that looks GREAT!!

SO I thought based on the blurb that this book was going to be kinda dark.  Don’t get me wrong, the subject matter of domestic violence is not pretty or light to touch on but it wasn’t the dubious consent kinda book I half expected…SHEW!!

Elena is married to an AWESOME guy said no woman ever.  She is subjected to daily abuse by him.  When he shows up at home one night and tells her to get dressed up, she thinks she finally has pleased him.  She finally is a good wife.  She is so excited to have a date with her husband even if she is ugly and fat and pasty and and and…get the picture….anyway, she dresses up and goes.  When she gets to the baseball game her spidey senses go off  that things are not ok and oy is she right.  Seems her hubby owes a lot of money to a loan shark named Ashton annnd well, he has pimped his wife out to clear the debit.  WHAT!!???  Yup!!

Ashton is stunned stupid but was raised by a good family.  He takes Elena not to use with as he wishes like her hubby told him but to help her overcome this abuse and move on with her life to be happy with someone else.

We see Ashton helping her gain her strength and her independence but we also see his desire for this woman.  She challenges him and makes him want more than just this life.

Elena loves the new woman she has become and is shocked when Ashton reveals his desires for HER…the ugly, fat, horrible house wife ……what!!!

The story is a lot of them figuring out what they are and then coming to terms with their feelings.  Ya see Elena only has 3 months but that time is ticking away.  Her husband is none too thrilled to see his wife happy and in caring hands so he starts to make some waves and boy is in gonnna pay for that….

The book was great.  I loved it to pieces and cant wait to start Miller, Ashton’s brothers book!!

Oh Luci……You so got side swiped by love that is for sure!!  LOL

Lucianna was not going to stop searching for a clue against the dastardly man who killed her friend.  She will not give up even though Edith is happily engaged and Ophelia is too busy reading then investigation.  She will not fail her deceased friend.

Roderick was too side swiped by love.  He was bound and determined to destroy the person who ruines his chance at find who stole from his family.  He stumbles on Luci in a fencing match and he couldn’t help but fall in love with her!  She is feisty and challenges him every step of the way but he won’t have it any other way.

I loved the almost disgust that Roderick feels for Luci’s sire and his treatment of her. His desire to protect her is what is his “down fall” into loving her.  Luci is going to catch the man who ruined her friend’s happiness and took her life.  When Roderick becomes an ally in her journey she is confused and finds herself even more drawn to the man.

I gotta say, I loved how Luci was so stubborn and this book is like a taming of the shrew updated version.  Roderick thinks taming Luci will save her but in fact it saves him.

I can’t wait for Ophelia’s book!!
