Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

My twin sister and I were born in the small town of Martinsville Indiana but raised for the greater part of our lives on the south side of Indianapolis—just five minutes from downtown. We played outside like most normal children do but when Indiana winters became brutal, and since I was always a sickly kid, we watched television; mostly science fiction or the old black and white monster flicks. When I wasn’t doing that I was in my room filling up notebooks with stories.

I met my husband on a blind date, arranged by my sister, at a concert at Ball State University. He was a drummer in a band. We now have been married for thirty-two years. We have three grown daughters and live in Mt. Comfort Indiana, surrounded by corn and soybean fields, with far too many pets.

Right now I have nine published books. Six in the Union Series, an adult paranormal/fantasy romance about animal shifters, and three in a young adult trilogy, titled Children of the Alliance. I tend to write more in the paranormal genre but I have several science fictions, one dystopian, and one dram-com (drama-comedy) waiting for my attention someday.

When and Why did you start to write?

When my stepfather heard that I was suffering from dyslexia, in the sixth grade, he decided to take me to a used bookstore with the belief that the best way to improve my reading skills was to read. Some of the books were hard to get through at first, but with his encouragement I refused to give up. Then one day, after complaining about the ending of a particular book, he told me that if I didn’t like the ending then I should just write my own book, so I did. My first attempt resulted in a horribly written western when I was fourteen, staring a cocky gun slinging cowboy by the name Curt Calhoun. Curt along with his seven brothers, who all shared C names in common, may never have seen the pages of a book, but that was the day I started writing, and never stopped.

Then six years ago I was diagnosed with Lupus, fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, and connective tissue disease. Needless to say my life altered and I was left having to readjust, both physically and emotionally. The CTD has been very unkind to my knees and hips and I was no longer able to do the things I once loved, such as horseback riding and hiking. I let depression get to me for a while and then one day I got up, walked to my computer, and sat down. I opened up one of my stories and started working. At first writing was just a way to escape but after some encouragement decided to give the indie world a go.

What authors do you always read or suggest to others?

Of course I’m a big Poe fan. I love several classic authors such as Jane Austen, the Bronte’s and Tolkien. I’ve read several novels by Terry Brooks, Rachel Caine, along with Margaret Weis and Don Perrin to pass the time. Although, since indie publishing four years ago I admit that I read a lot less of the big publishing company books, and have chosen, that is when I have the time, to support my fellow indie authors and I have a very long TBR list.

What is the most surprising thing you have found out with the writing process?

When I die someday people probably won’t know my name or my books and that’s okay. Because when that time comes I’m going to look back over my life and see that a shy, dyslexic introvert, with a chronic pain disorder did not give up no matter what life threw at her. I once thought that it was the support of others that I needed in order to achieve anything but I was wrong. Through all the discouragement and my own inner doubting while writing my books, in the end, what it finally took to fulfill my dream, which was to actually finish a book, was my own belief. The belief that I can do anything I set my mind too.

What are you working on now?

Right now I am currently working on book seven in the Union Series, Rise of the Raven. I meant to have it out last year but 2016 was a very bad year for me. Hopefully it will be released later this year. I have a lot of make up work to do.

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

Most definitely a plotter. I keep very detailed notebooks that contain definitions, maps, and scenes for each book. I tend to have one main plot along with several sub-plots so I write basic outlines to keep my mind on track, but keep it loosie goosie. We authors know how quickly characters can stage a mutiny. I’ve had characters that were supposed to die suddenly decide they want to stick around for a while, and that tends to change the story somewhat. Either way when I’m done with a book I pretty much feel that it ended the way it was supposed to. Sometimes I even write the ending first.

The final instillation of the Arnot brothers.  Echo, much like his brothers, meets his fake fiancé but he and she can’t keep their eyes off each other.  However, Fiancée Naomi had a secret…well a big secret actually.

The couple send a nice quiet night out when Naomi’s secret is revealed.  Echo does some diggin and finds out that she is in trouble…really big trouble with the bad guy from the last book.  The couple will have to do a lot of trusting and talking but of course *wiggles eyes* bonding to make sure that they are safe and can have an HEA.

I really love these short stories from this author.  I loved the other brothers books plus her paranormal series books are great reads. SO if you want a fun, flirty, steamy, short book then grab any of this authors books and you will love it.

Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

I’m Alicia Kobishop, mom to an eleven-year-old boy and eight-year-old girl, wife to a super-supportive husband, resident of my hometown–Milwaukee, WI.

When and Why did you start to write?

In late 2012/early 2013, four people in my life passed away within a matter of months…all deaths completely unrelated. The sudden losses forced me to realize how short life actually is and that tomorrow is never guaranteed. It made me re-evaluate my passions in life, and compelled me to try many new things (including auditioning for a role in an independent film–crazy, right?). I lost my passion for the administrative healthcare career that I had fallen into straight out of high school. I was good at my career, but I had never actually chosen it.

During this challenging time, I began reading fiction again, after years of never picking up a book. I wanted to find out what the “big deal” was about the Fifty-Shades series, so I read it (and loved it). From there, I devoured Beautiful Disaster, Thoughtless, Fallen Too Far, Easy, On the Island, Beautiful Stranger, and so many more. I was hooked!

The more I read, the more absorbed I became with the idea to write a book of my own (something I may never have considered had I not been thinking of how short life really is). On a whim, I sat down in front of a Word Doc, and started The Fine Line, writing scenes as they came to me, letting the characters write their story, not knowing if anything would ever come of it, or if I’d even finish it. After six months of writing, Liv and Logan’s story was complete. After some thought (and encouragement from my husband) I made the decision to have it edited, and ultimately self-published it.

When writing the story, I loved the feeling of being in-the-zone, or fully submersed within the minds of the characters while writing their scenes. I found a passion for writing that I never even knew I had. For that reason, I made the decision that I wanted to try to make a career out of this thing I loved to do, and I haven’t looked back since.

Spark. Erotic romance meets women’s fiction. It’s heartbreaking. It’s sexy. Maybe too sexy for my family or people in my personal life to read…I’m seriously considering publishing it under a pen-name. 😉

When writing are you a pantser or plotter?

My initial reaction to this question is that I’m a total pantser.

Don’t get me wrong…it absolutely helps to have a general idea of how each scene will go, or how the story will play out and end up, but for me, part of the magic is allowing the story tell itself. Limiting myself to my “plan” inhibits my writing process just as much as following a specific, detailed plan does.

Ultimately, for me, there is a balance between plotting and pantsing. 🙂

Oh man!!  I was stoked to read The Kid AKA Angelo’s book.  I mean we knew he was grumpy and had issues but until this book I had no clue.  The man bun was definitely something every girl..ok I…dream about too!!  But besides all of that, everything Angelo has been through.  All the pain he has endured….my heart.  But the big bomb was the fact he is……………….NO WAY I am telling that little secret!!  But yes, I was like OH SNAP!!!

Tatum is a woman who lost everything and is existing in life but not really living life.  She is forced to write out of her comfort zone when she meets and propositions The Kid.

The push and pull of the two characters is written great.  We can see and feel the conflict especially when we find out why The Kid is super grumpy.  We learn why he is an angry and cut off person.  WE understand why he won’t take a chance and let someone in.  Tatum will not let it go.  The reporter in her will see him through this and get some closure for him even if he won’t let her.

I loved the ending and how Angelo goes to set it right with Tatum and what ensues after.  I loved seeing the mutt from Hendrix again along with Livi.  Jared and Sally are the next book and this is going to be full of one liner bad jokes per the usual Jared MO….lol

I was so excited when I found out we would be getting Kid’s story. I was shocked at what we found out about this man. The things he endured and the price he paid was heartbreaking. Tatum she had some rough times too and was trying to overcome them and let them go.

Tatum was a writer but when asked to step outside her comfort zone and write something different she knew she needed to jump in feet first and have a new tactic.  She needed a muse you know one to do research with but how was she going to find one and how to request his services? That was all answered when she came face to face with Kid. He was the one.

Tatum was persistent and Kid gave in.  This starts with a journal and making it come alive and wow do they make the writing come alive.  The push and pull between Kid and Tatum was great.  I loved how Tatum was open and bold with Kid. She was like a bulldog when she knew there was something with Kid she dug her feet in and pulled out the answers out.  Tatum wouldn’t stop tell she had all the facts and never judged no matter what everyone else was saying.

I do enjoy this series and cannot wait for more.

Holy hells bells.

I’m not sure if I should be pissed that my brothers and father left me to deal with this mess or thank them for the gorgeous eye candy. Not that I would, because they’d have a fit either way, but damn. Maybe it’s my mom smiling down on me, giving me a ray of sunshine through this mess.

All three of the guys are hot in their own way. By the cuts on their backs, they belong to the Ravage Motorcycle Club. Here for the rally, of course, and will be gone in a flash. That’s how it is. What the hell, I’ll enjoy the view while I can.

I sop up the water and wring out the mop head, then repeat … again and again.

Ryker, who boldly introduced himself, is a player. Yep, seen hundreds of them in my day growing up in the club. Tattoos, sexy vibe … I bet he doesn’t even have to ask women, just crooks his finger.

The other man, who I’m not sure his name, looks a little lighter in a way, but I’m not sure how to describe it.

Cooper, though. My heavens. Talk about charismatic, and I got that just from the few words he spoke to me. Hell, I get it just from being in the same room with him. It’s like he oozes it out of his pores, releasing it out in the world for women to fall at his feet and beg. Then there’s the hair. I can’t call it light, and it’s definitely not dark. It’s a unique combination of the two; light browns intertwined with a few darker browns, giving his hair a shade I haven’t seen before. Like a caramel color with an edge, and long. So much so that he has a hair tie wrapped around his wrist. No doubt he puts it up regularly. I’d put money on it only amping up his sexiness.

When our eyes connected for that brief moment, the blue popped out in his. I also noticed some navy around the edges. That combination of hair and eyes … Be still my deprived heart.

The way his pants ride low on his hips makes me want to give up all kinds of things to get him to raise his arms above his head so his black T-shirt rises up and I can see what’s underneath.

He has tattoos running all up his left arm, disappearing under his shirt. I can see some black poking through the top at his neck, too. It piques my curiosity, wanting to find out what he’s hiding.

I shake my head and squeeze out the mop. It’s been way too long since … Never mind.

EEP!!  I was so excited for this book and mad oh man was it everything I hoped for…it was sexy, and aggressive with tons of alpha yumminess too.

Coop is Ravage.  Ravage is Coop.  When he sees, the beautiful laundromat work he is stunned stupid at how she can affect him with just her voice and then you look at her body…gonner!!.  However, she is an innocent in his way of the world so he walks away…he is kicking himself for walking away but he walks away none the less.

Bristyl is not Sinister MC Member but a fringe “member” by association.  She doesn’t really see the good side for clubs for woman.  She isn’t into finding a club member to be an ol lady for and a club girl…no thanks not for her.

When Bristyl and her friend stumble into trouble who could have known what all would be at stake for her and Cooper.  Late night phone calls and sneaking out for dates turns into love and then a fierce need for Coop to protect what is his when Bristyl’s MC “family” throw out a new set of rules for her to live by.

I totally loved this story and I felt just as betrayed as Bristyl for the decisions her family expected her to make.  I loved Coop’s family especially his mom’s reaction to Bristyl.  I can’t wait to get Deke’s story and see his redemption.  I felt a little bit bad for him but still there wasn’t any reason to blame Coop.

Ryan Michele found her passion in bringing fictional characters to life. She loves being in an imaginative world where anything is possible, and she has a knack for special twists readers don’t see coming.
