OH LYSSA!!  Yes, I licked Theo and yes he is now MINE!!  You know how super claimy I get…..is claimy even a word?  EH who cares I am pronouncing “Today is Angie and Theo Day.”  FYI I totally imagine Theo James in this story…sorry but yes he is my Theo!!

Alright alright here is why I licked him and he is mine.

Theo is a war vet who has been deployed multiple times to fight overseas.  He has seen many of his buddies die but his recent loss was super close to home.  He is sitting in an airport drowning in his sorrows about visiting his buddy when Tess sits next to him.

Tess is dreading going home for the holidays.  She is not looking forward to the first family Christmas at home.  She is taken by the vet who she is drawn too.  She can’t understand it but wants to help him when he gets home.  She stays and pretends to be his girlfriend but along the way uncovers the biggest secret of them all.

If you haven’t read anything by Lyssa I ask you this, WHY THE HECK NOT??  If you have read her then you know how she can totally mind eff you with her story lines.  She writes a story and then WHAMO you are like “How did I not see that coming?” or “WHAT?  HUH?  OMG NOOOO!!”  Well in typical fashion I was so absorbed in Theo and Tess that when her big bomb hit I was shaking my head like a cartoon character!!

WOW!!  This book…….I love this author for her snarky and sarcastic stories but this book was so different.  The vibe was super serious and heartbreaking.

Declan and Claire have an amazing love story that we read about as the story unfolds.  But something in the past has caused them to be apart…miserable and apart.  The couple are tricked to go on vacation with friends never knowing the other will be there.

We see the longing of each other to be with the one true love but then pirates and new loves get in the way…oh yeah you read that right…PIRATES!!  Ok so yeah, the author still cracks me up in this book like her other stories but like I said the vibe is different.

The emotions are strong in this book.  We want the couple to overcome their past to be together but can you really find peace and forgiveness with yourself enough to forgive the one you love too??? Declan and Claire have a lot to figure out in this island romance.

Boy did DJ rock my world last book.  I dunno who sweeps a girl off their feet faster and better?  Him or Austin???  Gesh I am going to say Austin/Shamus.  DJ is sorry babe but I think you got sidelined!!!

Andrea and Austin had a love that was insane but true.  When Andrea misunderstands something she hears, she runs for the hills.  Her choices ended up her find herself in a war-torn country wondering what she is doing.  After an accident, she as to come home and she dreads facing HIM.  The boy. I loved this story line.  Besides the “will they or wont they get back together” there is the fear of who is trying to hurt Drea.  Shamus will do everything in his power to make his woman safe.  He will not fail her.  When the story is revealed, I was like “Chelsea and Ryan, you beotches are CRAY CRAY to think this stuff up!!”  To all you spoiler wanting people “ aint happening” is my reply.  You just gotta rea this cray for your own dang self!

I bought a copy of this book after reading another of this authors books.

HOLY MOTHER! This book is super hawt and uber erotic.  If you are looking for some naught filled pages, then this my friends is your lotto winner.  This is a hawt ménage with elements of BDSM and a whole lotta spanking throughout this entire story.

The long *snickers* and the longer *bigger snicker* of it is that the world as we know of it gone.  There are a lot of factions who are not good people and some factions that are good people.  Tye and Rex protect their group of people but are not happy when Lara infiltrates their family/people.  They offer her a deal and she takes it.  This is the deal “Do what we say when we say it and you can stay here and be protected OR Get out and be on your own.”  SO Lara takes the men up on the deal.

Obviously the three start to develop love and mutual respect but the past is still causing issued for the ménage to formally solidify a forever for them.   Lara and the Commanders must learn to rely on each other as well as themselves to make the connection a forever one.

Tech was getting ready to go over to Syn and Day when one of the homicide detectives burst through their doors wearing a pair of sweats and an APD tank top, his face sweaty and flushed but his eyes as wide as saucers. “Your new guy, the Marine, is sparring with God downstairs!” he yelled, and took off back through the bullpen, a few of the beat officers racing along behind him.

Ruxs and Green were already in motion, taking off like two bats out of hell. Tech was right behind them and he could hear the heavy steps of Syn and Day on his heels.

“Hey, what’s going on?” The captain frowned from the entrance to his office, looking confused at all his officers scattering like rats.

“The Marine’s in the ring with God,” someone yelled.

“Oh hell,” the captain said and joined in the crowd.

Tech’s heart was beating frantically, taking the stairs two at a time, all of them sounding like a cattle stampede. It was no secret around the precinct who their new addition was, a lot of them having seen the footage of him at the fast food robbery, so the thought of him going head to head with the baddest cop in Atlanta, that was something to run and see.

When Tech came through the swinging doors, the first thing he saw was the goddamn crowd. Everyone was down there, even a couple of the officers from booking. What the hell? Then he noticed all the cell phones that were pointed in the direction of the ring, recording. The noise was crazy like they were watching two heavyweight champions. His breath stopped when he saw God shove Steele into the ropes and hammer away at his ribs. Steele tucked his elbows in tight, a look of determination and pain etched on his sweaty face.

“Get outta there, Marine!” a deep voice shouted. “Get off the ropes.”

Tech watched Steele wrap God up in a bear hug to halt his punches. God stumbled back, pushing Steele off him, but to his surprise, Steele came at God with a combination that would’ve made Ali proud.

“Yeah!” The crowd cheered when God stumbled back into the buckle, his big biceps flexing as he tried to defend against Steele’s hits.

Tech swallowed hard. He was amazed and extremely turned on by how fast Steele moved.

God swung a quick left hook, the crowd erupting again when Steele ducked and returned the same level of punishment on God’s ribs. Steele jumped back, meeting God in the center of the ring. Tech didn’t know what round this was, but both of them looked like they’d had the workout of their lives. He’d seen God not even break a sweat in the ring, but large droplets poured off his chest and shoulders while he brought his hands up, squaring off with Steele again. God gave Steele a come-hither sign, telling him he was ready for more.

Steele brought his arms back up and Tech’s mouth watered, taking in Steele’s strong upper body, his broad shoulders and ripped back. His pecs were thick and dripping sweat profusely, making the large tattoo there glisten in the dim lighting. The huge bald eagle clutching the world in his sharp talons with USMC beneath it, done masterfully. But the best part was Steele’s knuckleduster piercing the image, the words Death Before Dishonor wrapped around the blade. Tech’s skin heated and he eased back into the corner to silently keep watching and also hide his reaction.

What the what what??  A Girl falls her for dad’s buddy.  Ok I was a little squeamish but then I was like “Ryan won’t take it THERE to a gross place…..right??” SO I sat on New Year’s Eve and queued it up in my reading day binge…….

So Emma is headed home from school for break.  She is looking forward to just being able to chill out but know she will see Grady.  She has been attracted to him forever but he is daddy’s friend…..

Grady has watched Emma grow up her entire life.  He has watched her go from a gawky teen to a beautiful woman. Should he be lusting after his friend’s daughter?  UHM NO but he can’t stop the growing attraction between them.

Oh boy Nick Sutter there is a new Alpha in town.  Who cares that he is a former student, good friend and trusted member of your football staff…he is going to become you enemy to the 100^th degree!!!  Ok it’s not THAT serious but when a man makes a play for your baby girl……daddy isn’t going to like it or him very much!!  Yeah can you tell I loved seeing Nick get so fired up and having Leah there to “talk him off the ledge” so to speak!!??

Emma Sutter loved Brock for as long as she can remember but given there was a 5 year age gap there was no way anything was going to happen plus it’s not like he thought of her that way.

Brock Stone always was drawn to Emma but she was hands off for 2 reasons : her age and her daddy!!

When Emma is in college but returns for the summer the two have a chance meeting.  He knew her right away but she wasn’t so sure.  The chemistry is there and crazy thick.  They start sneaking around behind old dad’s back.  Brock and Emma are falling fast and hard but the sneaking around is wearing Brock down.  When Emma is about to come clean to her folks about Brock, her past comes crashing down hard all around her.  Secrets she never wanted told are revealed and she is left drowning.  Brock is a mess and confused.

This book makes my heart so happy but I am left confused….do I stay with Team Nick or do I jump on to Team Brock?  Any fan of the Shattered Series will be as excited as I was to read this book.  I loved revisiting all of my old favorites, plus seeing their kids grown up.  I can’t wait for Aaron and Ryan’s books because those boys…..especially Aaron are trying my nerves!!!!  Kick his butt Mel!!!

My favorite scenes : The letter Leah gives to Em…teary I tell ya annnd the Epilogue.  OMG Nick Sutter you are a trouble maker!!!

I loved the Sutter family so to be able to see their children grow and watch their parents struggle with the children’s decisions was amazing.  They are my family I feel what they feel.

Emma went away to college but is now home on summer break. Something happened that changed her but she is not saying what. She is keeping that secret locked up close to her heart. Emma wanted to get away forget the past go back to what she knows and loves her family. What she doesn’t expect it to fall for a man let a lone Brock Foster her first crush.

Brock Foster is back in his home town working for Nick Sutter when he runs into Emma Sutter his world is shifted.  He has feelings for Emma but with her age and her dad being Nick she has always been OFF LIMITS and even though they are older same rules apply since he now works for Nick. This has trouble written all over it.

I am Team Brock all the way he stole my heart after reading this one. I loved seeing Nick deal with his daughter and her issues. I also enjoyed meeting Emma’s best friend Melinda and cannot wait to see what is in store for her.  There were some great scenes in this book that had me crying and laughing. nick has not changed I don’t think he ever will, he will always be a kid at heart. I am so excited to read more about these Sutter kids. I have a feeling I will want to do harm to Aaron when his book comes out but somehow I think Mel will turn him around.
