Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

My name is Tricia Andersen and I am a romance writer of multiple genres. I live in Iowa with my husband and three children. When I am not writing, I love to do yoga, be involved with several organizations, sew, embroider and play with my puppy, Kinnick.

How did you hear about this event?  How many years have you attended?

I don’t even remember how I learned about this event. Someone had suggested to me to try to sign up so I put myself on the waitlist. I believe this will be my eighth year.

What genres do you write?

Romance – paranormal, Paranormal/Greek god, Contemporary, Fantasy, Fighter, Historical. I also have a couple of non-fiction books and a few children’s picture books.

What is a book of yours you wish more people read?

Blood Lust. It is the first book of the Gods of DC series. I took a unique turn on paranormal romance and added the Greek gods and goddesses into it. It’s Ares and a vampire, Athena and a werewolf, Demeter and a leprechaun, a retelling of Hades and Persephone, Apollo, a jinn and an Irish demon called a Formoire, Artemis and a fallen angel, and more to come.

What is one fun fact about you?  It can be anything like food allergy, fear of something, weird way you broke a bone…….

I have a bronze medal from competing in Brazilian jiu jitsu. There was three of us in the weight class so it really isn’t a flex. However, I have it and I am proud of it (and it’s heavy!).

I’m Shannyn Schroeder and I write steamy contemporary romance mostly set in Chicago. Some things you can count on in my books: big families with nosy siblings, pizza!, someone’s gonna get drunk, and the F word is used liberally.

How did you hear about this event?  How many years have you attended?

I don’t remember how I first heard about it. This will be my 6th year. It’s one of my favorite (if not THE fave) of the year. I love everything about it.

What is a book of yours you wish more people read?

In Fine Form – It came out last year and it’s book 2 of The Doyle Family. I love Declan. He’s a golden retriever hero who’s good with his hands (get your mind out of the gutter – he’s a carpenter). He reads romance with Renee and joins her book club. He’s great with her daughter. He’s just fun. (you can Declan as a standalone)

I was once thrown out of a Little Caesar’s for saying the F word.

Author KL Kreig. Mom to 2 amazing grown humans.l Nana to 4 even more amazing little girls! Writing is passion of mine, but only a part-time gig to my full time job. I live in Colorado Springs with my family and a handful of animals. When I’m not writing, I’m reading or crafting. I love coffee and chocolate. My favorite color is purple.

How did you hear about this event?  How many years have you attended?

A friend told me about the event! This will be my 3rd year attending.

What genres do you write?

I write Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance. I’ve dipped my toe a little bit into high fantasy, but not a lot.

What is a book of yours you wish more people read?

I wish that more people read my Children of the Apocalypse trilogy. I think it needs more love.

I’m physically lopsided! I have a bone differential between my legs, so my right leg is an inch shorter than my left!

My name is Eileen Troemel. I’ve been writing since I was eight but it was sporadic until later in life. I started publishing in 2014. I write under three names – Ava M Taylor for erotic romance; RJ Stone for children’s books; Eileen Troemel for everything else.

How did you hear about this event?  How many years have you attended?

My daughter wanted to go and when she does reader events I’m her book bitch. We attended two or three years and had the best time.

What genres do you write?

Ava M Taylor writes in erotic romance in scifi, contemporary, fantasy, paranormal genres. RJ Stone is all about children’s books some contemporary and some fantasy. Eileen Troemel writes in scifi romance, paranormal, contemporary, fantasy and anything else which peaks my interest. I’ve also got poetry books, crochet patterns and a self help meditation book.

What is a book of yours you wish more people read?

Puma Pride – it’s a cat shifter book with a thriller, mystery element.

One of my daughters asked me to crochet something for her. I made something for her years before but I didn’t keep the pattern (as I usually make up my own). She suggested I publish my crochet pattern. This is what got me started on publishing my crochet patterns.

Hi! I’m Harley Wylde and I mostly write motorcycle club romances, but really, I’ll write just about any bad boy hero (or anti-hero). I’ve been writing since 2008, although my first published book was under a different pen name. Hmm. Let’s see. I’m addicted to Starbucks, enjoy reading fantasy web comics and horror novels, and I really love 80’s slasher movies.

My first Harley Wylde book was a novella called Grease Monkey. It’s a contemporary age gap erotic romance, so expect tons of spice and steam!

At the end of the first official date I had with my husband, he asked me to marry him. Except I don’t think he intended to and it just sort of slipped out. To his surprise, I said yes.

Hope Daniels, International Best Selling Author Hope Daniels grew up in a small resort area in Michigan where she and her husband still live today.

As the third child of four, she has an exhaustive imagination. From straddling the back-porch railing as a wild cowgirl, to saving the world as Wonder Woman complete with homemade bullet stopping bracelets, Daniels took what she read to make it as real as possible. Hope loves to write in multiple genre combining snark, laughter, action and a grand dose of spicy adult time in most of her works. Now, if she could just find the shifter of her dreams…or another cat to add to the collection of felines invading her space.

We both laugh at the statement because so many of my male characters have the sexy, yet irritating, qualities he possesses. Mostly, we find humor in what we can. This event has been on my bucket list as a reader for years. As an author, I have friends who kept sending me the link until I filled it out last year. Thankfully, I was chosen as an attending author. This is my second year attending and I wish I had listened to my friends sooner! I have an outrageous fear of spiders. I mean the type of fear that I would toss a small child at the spider in order to get away. I have punched my husband when he tried teasing me with a dead one. You guessed it, I left bruises behind. I fight, then fly out of the way. When I am able to kill one myself, let’s just say I make sure it is dead, dead, dead.

My name is Brandy Blackmon. I’m currently based in the Chicagoland area. I am an animal lover with amazing fur babies that I look forward to seeing everyday after my day job as a driver.
