GUUURL!!  Bobbie Jo you know I was not your friend in Book 1 right??  You know I was plotting with Emily to have some disfiguring accident happen or that you would get run over by Flossy’s tractor??  Something bad would happen!!  THEN, like Emily, I warmed to you and saw the real you…not the superficial one that everyone else sees.  The more I read about you and being a single mom, the more I felt bad for being so awful to you.  I have been PATIENTLY waiting for this book….for your book because if ANYONE needs an HEA, it is YOU!!

Bobbie Jo has had a DRY SPELL…..no play since her little accident with her sperm donors little gift was received.  So, she has finally decided to give a one night stand a try.  When she spies a tall glass of water she is hopeful he can help her out buuuut as usual Jeremy screws that up or did he????  After yet another confrontation Bobbie Jo and said tall glass of water start to get hot and heavy and he walks away??  WHU??????

Bobbie is like PFFT with men and that is when her life changes forever….ya see Mr. Tall Glass of Water happens to turn up at her door and is her new Guest Boarder at her house…yes friends que to intense sexual chemistry!!  Oh yeah Mr. Tall Glass of Water just happens to be Bobbie Jo’s boss’ nephews, Seth.  Seems Seth needs to settle for a few weeks and clear his head.

Seth is like WTF when he sees Bobbie.  He is then super confused when he is thinking his summer of clearing BOTH his brain will include a little bed hopping with Bobbie when he little Boy, Austin, comes home.  Seth kinda freaks but sees how the 2 adore each other.  Plus Austin us a super cool little kid!!!

So Bobbie and Seth have come to an “understanding” of no sex because she is his boss wile he is doing repairs on her farm…friends we ALL know that is so not gonna last.  THE CHEMSITRY is crazy and then when he think they WILL…cock blocked …then we think they might and again more tension. Lets just say when they finally do…its was on like Donkey Kong!!

Now as we are beginning to see hearts growing and love forming, Seth’s past comes back and causes trouble as does Bobbie Jo’s sperm donor.  This causes all kinds of complications for the two.  They are so confused over what to do and what to say at times that that further causes issues.

So my favorite part of the book is when Seth gives Bobbie Jo a certain code word.  Now I cant tell you the code word because when they pick the code words it was hilarious as hell but when he uses it……Lump in my throat friends….huge lump.

I have got to say, I loved this story.  I loved seeing everyone together again and the epilogue was THE ABSOLUTE BEST EVER!!!  It ties everything together for all the characters in the series.

Oh sister!!  This book is an amazing jump into a series of books that will all be based off the family of witches centered in this story.

This is a crazy look at how absurd times were during the witch trials and any wrong move can land you being labeled a witch.  Your entire family is then subjected to torture and then death whether you admit or not to being a witch.  This is such a such  horrible part of true culture.

This story is about a family who tried to help out another but is then marked withes.  We see the witches trying to save their family, so they will endure and their bloodline will stay alive.

If you like witches or the Salem Witch Trials, then this is a book for you to give a try. The backstory of this family is short and sweet but just enough to get you to want even more.

Are you ready for a angsty shifter, because Kate is definitely angsty!! Lol, however she is also a strong independent woman who does relationships on her own terms and has no need for the mate that she just met.

Petros  Thalasssa has left his home of Lykos and come to Blackstone because he works for the Shifter Protection Agency that now has a office there.  He also hopes to find his mate as she knows that she is not on his island home, he also was okay with leaving because of a mission that went wrong and he thinks it was his fault that his BFF was killed.

Ahhh!!! Kate is sooo funny, I love her and her gal pals and am so happy that the ladies of Blackstone finally get their turn!!  she is totally a modern woman and needs no man mate or not, however that may be because she had a past relationship that was terrible and she refuses to get caught in another one.  She is also hella smart, she is the Lennox Corps systems designer and she designs apps too.

I feel so bad for Petros because all the man wants his a family with his mate and his mate is fighting him tooth and nail about even becoming his mate.  Kate is reallllllllly making him work for it, but like I said she was hurt before and so she’s not doing it out of spite but she trying to protect herself.

So while Kate and Petros are doing their dance there is also a outside threat coming at them and boy is it a twist!!

Montgomery also does a great job writing about shifters and their mates, she also does a wonderful job creating  stimuli outside of what’s going on with the couple.

I’m so glad that there will be more of the Blackstone ladies!

Shut up!!  This book is to freaking funny!!!

I don’t know what I loved more?  The ghost haunting her, her cussing skeleton head, or her two hot men lusting over her.  I guess her pixie sidekick was a great read too.  If any of the past 2 sentences intrigued you, then buy this book people.  I laugh so much when I read her books.  They are so hilariously funny and yet so true to life.

Christi is a Craft Witch!!  Yikes run and hide right!!  I mean we all know how powerful they are ….well they all are except for this little witch.  She is a hot mess and can’t seem to cast a simple levitation spell correct.  On top of her lack of witchcraft abilities, she is now dealing with a pouty demon who is all “Can’t you just love me” to her when she is all about the booty calls.  Poor girl right!!

Now the next part of her life drama happens when her hottie warlock shows up.  She has crushed on him since they were little kids are her mom dated his dad.  Mom likes to hit it and quit it, but Christi and Milo have stayed friends.  When Christi notices her inappropriate feelings for her friend and wonders if he has them for her, she freaks.

I think the worst part of Christi’s life is when the ghost AKA Buttons shows up in her life.  This drama forced her to go and see Mommy Dearest who decided to “help Christi” embrace the witch she truly is…by cursing her to have sex!!  LOL

I loved the story and can’t wait for more. The ending chapters we see there will be some men fighting over our girl plus the death of Buttons seems to be anything but accidental!!

K.B. Ladnier is from a small city in Southern Mississippi. She has one daughter and three cats who she claims are stealing her soul in only tiny doses so she won’t notice. She is a cyborg and spends most of her time hiding from her tiny human so she doesn’t have to share her snacks as she reads her favorite books. She hates the beach yet lives only ten minutes away from it and daydreams of mountains and snow. She is married to a hot nerd and loves him dearly even though he hordes cookies and occasionally hides her prosthetic leg from her when she’s mad, so he can get a quick escape. Shyla, Eric and Grant….This book was just what a girl needs when she is feeling not so great.

Eric is total player…like with a capital P and you might wanna even pop the P when you pronounce it.  Dog is another wording you might like to use for him…because friends he is.

Shyla is a single mom raising her son Grant.  She is divorced from her abusive ex and looking to start over.  Her world revolves around Grant and his revolves around his mom.  However, mommas got some itches that need to be scratched so when her friends hooks her up on a blind date, she totally hits it and leaves.  This totally floors Eric because he was actually interested in this woman who left.

Eric cannot stop thinking about this woman when he walks into work to see her sitting there as the new employee!!  Uhm yeah do ya see where this is going?  LOL  They are both freaked out over the connection they have but when something from the past comes into play, they have to make some decisions to do this together or be done!!

I loved the story and cant wait for more from this series.

I’m a huge fan of these short hot reads and I find they just keep getting better and better.

Meghan and Brendan have been friends forever. And of course, they’ve been in love with each other but the other doesn’t know it. Well insert them having to move in together and BAM, pure hotness.

I especially liked when they started playing poker. That’s when the fun begins. I liked this one too because although it’s short like the others, it’s not over top. Although I do love me some over the top reads, this one was refreshing. Friends to lovers and it’s finest.

If you like quick short reads, you’ll love these books.

We are back in Whiskey with the Collins’, this time it’s youngest of the brothers turn.

Fox Collins, hot owner and editor of the town newspaper the Whiskey Chronicles.  Ladies this man is the total package; smart, funny, a business owner, and did I mention he is hot!!!

Melody Waters Whiskey’s is newest resident and she may have met Fox a few months before moving to town and they shared one hot night together.  She has moved to town for two reasons, to help her aging grandmother and to start a new chapter in her life by becoming a business and owner herself.

I love being back with the Colllins clan, seeing the family is great.  Fox really is into Melody and she is into him, but all she thinks she can afford to be right now is friends.  She also doesn’t think she deserves more because of her past, a past that she really doesn’t want to explain just yet.

Seeing these two characters building their relationship is so sweet.  I adore Melody’s grandmother, with whom Fox is interviews for a article in the paper.  She has done so much in her life and is one of the town’s most notorious residents. LOL!!!

Of course it wouldn’t be a Carrie Ann Ryan story if she didn’t give us a little mystery and boy does she give us a big one  in the form of a stalker, someone from her past is out to get Melody.

Ryan has done it once again writing a witty, heartwarming love story full of family, fun, a strong woman and man, with a dash of mystery.  

I can’t wait for more from the Collins family!!!

GAH!!!  Candy and Captain’s Books!!  Seriously these two and their dynamic has me wondering how they came to be.  I mean YES their age difference was a big question for me but knowing them I knew there was a definitely underlying love so to see the beginning = melted heart!!

SO I absolutely love how this story is told.  We are seeing both Captain and Candy’s lives that lead them to the night of Candy’s auction.  We see the struggles and situations that make them who they are today.  We see the pain in loving someone and the pain in being hurt by love.   We SEE what makes them the perfect fit.

Candy is everything Captain needs.  She is the youthful and a carefree soul to help heal his battered mind, Body, and soul.  Captain is the perfect nurturer for Candy.  He is the person who will guide her heart and teach her to trust in herself again.

Seriously I could not put this book down.  I DEVOURED it in the quickest time.  I was so enthralled in THEM.  I was so dedicated to finding out how they came to be and what shaped them to be the people they are today.

I loved the Candy/Captain dynamic when I was reading about them in the main story. Their side characters were amazing for other characters in the story IE Mary.  But to get a book….scratch that….2 books all geared to them…..GAH!!  I am so excited!!!

Oh my it’s Candy and Captain and the dynamic between these two was the amazing. Candy knows immediately that Captain is the one for her but Captain keeps pushing her away because of their age and he feels he is not good enough for her.

I enjoyed reading Captains back story even thought he went through so much it made him the mad he is. To see the soft sweet protective side he had even at a young age. He cared and held his mom and brother so close to his heart and through it all they were always there. I hope more of his past comes out in the second book.

When reading Candy’s story it had me choking up and then to find out about how she got her name. Then to see what she endured before meeting Brie broke my heart. When Candy falls she knows immediately and falls so hard.

I could not set this down even though I was at a convention and my BFF kept giving me a hard time for reading. I am so ready to see what is in store for us in the next book. Candy and Captain have stole my heart.

I purchased this book in ebook and paperback formats.

I have loved this series so far and jumped up and down when I saw this new book was out.  I was like WHAT?  How did I miss this?  So off to amazon to make sure I am following Kathy as to not miss another book!!

Our Grizzly Simon has been furry for 10 months when a human snaps …errr..scratch that…shoots him outta his bear form.  Seems she knows him and that he is furry.  We quickly learn Simon and her brother, Vic, are best friends and Vic sent her to get Simon.

Alyssa is freaking out because her brother was right, Simon, her dream guy, is a bear shifter.   She can’t believe it and is also happy to hear this news.  It seems her brother Vic, born human, is also now turning into a bear!!  WHAT!!!  That can’t happen!!

Alyssa and Simon join up to figure out what in the heck is happening.  Simon is dealing with the Grizzly just under his skin dying to get out but also with the fierce and sassy woman next to him.  He has thought Alyssa was amazing before and now that she is NOT takin his alpha crap he is in absolute love with her.

The couple have to deal with an overthrowing of the current alpha, finding out about the Detroit flu,  fighting their feelings and must more drama in the story before they can find their HEA.  I have loved the other books in the series but this one just seemed to be something missing.  I am not sure what but it just seemed to not flow as well as the others???  Maybe it was missing the other characters from the other books???  I don’t know but any way if you want to read an demanding alpha and his not so submissive alpha mate then Alyssa and Simon are a great read for you!!
