Shenanigans (Pretense and Promises Book 2)

Conor Hammond is desperate.

Well, not quite—but desperate enough to do something potentially stupid. His high school reunion is right around the corner and, now that he’s a wealthy business owner, all those girls who used to diss him will want to hit on him—and he needs a buffer. His assistant Morgan Tredway’s going to help out by playing his fiancée for the weekend.

But then Conor notices how nice Morgan’s legs look in those red heels…and Morgan remembers how she used to have a crush on her boss. That doesn’t stop them from telling themselves that these shenanigans are just distractions. It’ll be back to business as usual come Monday morning.

Except the emotions feel real.

When Conor’s propositioned by the ultimate trophy girlfriend and Morgan’s ex comes crawling back to her, will they look back on their weekend romance as just a fling or seal the deal?

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Mo and Connor are a great couple…..errr…..a great boss/assistant couple.  They have a great vibe and a wonderful ability to bounce off each other.  When Connor hangs with is buddy Brock and follows his “Fake Fiancée” idea, he soon finds out not only are they compatible in the boardroom but the bedroom too!!

Connor is the nerd turned stud in his high school class.  He doesn’t want to deal with the gold diggers, so he asks his friend Morgan to save him from the claws and a possible future ex-wife.  Morgan is angry and hurt over being dumped by her ex, so she agrees because she she is getting paid and new shoes outta the deal…can’t hurt right???

As the weekend goes forward, Connor and Mo start to feel the sizzle of chemistry when they both see each other as more then just a boss/assistant.  They both start to wonder…..what if.  When Connors dream girl from high school makes her intentions knows, Morgan has to keep her lips zipped because this is Connors dream girl….or is it???  Connor has always lusted over Raquel and when she throws herself at him, he is conflicted because she isn’t Morgan!!!

I loved the banter between Morgan and Connor.  Its obvious they enjoy each other’s company and personalities.  I liked seeing this friendship cross that line to MORE and then struggle with wondering if they made a mistake.

Side Note – I liked how the epilogue was written.  The style was GREAT for this couple and story!!

“Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” While you’re more likely to see Jade headbanging instead of Dirty Dancing, she—like Baby—won’t be put in a corner…or a box. So even though you can’t really stick her books in one genre, you could say she mostly writes steamy Contemporary Romance—and, while you’re at it, you’ll notice in her stories that Jade freaking loves Colorado, hard music, coffee, bad words, and CHOCOLATE!!! And so do her characters.

Oh, and there’s always a glimmer of hope…because if life doesn’t have that, what’s the damn point?

#Review – Steamy Kisses: A Reverse Harem Romance (Matchmaker Book 2) by Jade C Jamison

Steamy Kisses: A Reverse Harem Romance (Matchmaker Book 2)

Claire might have thought that having one less man to deal with in the reality show Matchmaker would have made her life easier, but she was wrong. As they all get to know each other better, Claire discovers that being compatible with each man doesn’t make him an ideal mate. And, as they make their way through another week of dates, Claire finds that one of them doesn’t even want to be there…

What?!?!?!? I don’t even know where to start with this one. Please forgive me for being so vague with this review because I refuse to give anything away. First, I was taken by surprise at who was sent home. Second, wow, we get to see some true colors from the guys as they are all getting to know each other and so is Claire. Third, what is his decision going to be at the end?!?!?! I Yep everyone! There is a cliffhanger and this time it isn’t up to the audience or Claire. The “guys” all have some great qualities but again when people really start to get to know each other things start to go awry. Oh and Claire shares some really intimate moments in this installment that really plucked at my heart strings. Again, I am not normally a fan of reality type shows like this but am absolutely hooked with Matchmaker. I can’t wait to make it to the end and see what kind of twist the author is going to give us.

#Review – Looking for Love: A Reverse Harem Romance (Matchmaker Book 1) by Jade Jamison

Looking for Love: A Reverse Harem Romance (Matchmaker Book 1)

One woman. Four weeks. Five men.
Just one chance.

After years of putting love on the back burner and struggling to break into Hollywood as an actress, Claire jumps on an opportunity to do both—by accepting the chance to be the pursued woman in a reality television show called Matchmaker.

Choosing among five men hand-picked specifically for her should be easy, but by the time she discovers that not all of the men are ideal, it’s too late. And when Claire attempts to salvage the situation, she’s met with the harsh reality that she doesn’t have a choice after all…

Fast and fun, “quickie” read! Sweet and snarky with the right amount of testosterone manipulation…..

So, I must say that I have never been a fan of the Bachelor or Bachelorette or whatever type of dating reality shows there are and such. However, a friend of mine just raves about this author and says you need to give this a try. I started reading it and am just getting started in the story when something occurred to me….I was actually hooked! I continued reading it, and reading it, and finished…..then had discuss this book ASAP because it ends on a cliffhanger. You will not know who goes home the first week. UGH! I NEED TO KNOW! You get a glimpse of who the men are and who Claire is but then there is the one on one time that they spend together. I started forming opinions and started to root for a couple of the guys *wags eyebrows*, but  I’ll let you form your own opinions, haha! Next thing you know after the dates some things are revealed and then I’m all like “I hate that guy” and “I really need this guy to win”. SMH! I don’t know how I got so wrapped up on this already but I need more! Ms. Jade C. Jamison, please bring on book 2 soon!

#ThrowBack #Review #GirlRockers #Rockers #CompleteSeries – Vagabonds by Jade C. Jamison

The Vagabonds Trilogy: The Complete Series (Rockstar Romance Box Set) by [Jamison, Jade C.]

You know me as rock goddess Kyle Summers. But you don’t know me. Not really.

For instance, you probably don’t know that playing the guitar is all I ever wanted to do with my life. And I’m sure you don’t know that I used to be boy crazy.

Till him. Till I met rock star CJ Slavin. I knew from the moment I met him that he completes me, that we belong together…that, in his shadow, no other man will ever do.

So why have we never been able to make it work? Why can we never fully commit to one another?

Can we find a way to be together or am I destined to be alone?

What reviewers have said about the trilogy:

“This author does it right. She doesn’t just throw the rockstar title around. Nope, she gives her readers what they crave. You can go in knowing you’re gonna get the whole experience. The music that flows through the veins of the born-to-rock characters. The song lyrics that speak to you because you recognize the emotion they were written with. The passion of a music lover that flows through the pages of your kindle and reaches you as the story unfolds. The excitement of being there when the magic happens.” Rosa Sharon, iScream Books

“It was with the release of this series that Jade was dubbed ‘the Queen of Rock Romance,’ and there is no mistaking that it is a title that fits.” MaryLou, PagePrincess

“Omg the Queen of Rock truly outdid herself with this book.” Angie J, Twinsie Talk Book Blog

“Wow…and YES!!! If the Nicki Sosebee series and the Bullet boys had a baby, I think this would be the result. I have always been a huge fan of Jamison’s work, whether she wrote about a naughty, sexy reporter and her bedroom antics or about a hot young rock band with a lot of angst and serious problems.” Sue Banner

On the Run, Book 1 –

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

AHHHH This book is amazing. Ok yeah I know you won’t just one-click it based off that statement but trust me it’s a great read. One of the things I love about this books is the angst and the Young Adult feel of it…trust me it’s not a YA novel but the books starts with the girls in high school, dealing with the drama and life of being a teen. Kyle is a bit of an outsider but after a school talent show she gets some attention from high school jock Decker. Now Decker is a good guy BUT he is not THE ONE. He is the typical jock who wants his woman to be in the stands when he plays ball. However, Kyle has dreams to be a rocker and that means not sitting in the stands watching her boyfriend. Kyle gets a once in a lifetime chance to be in a band and she jumps. We meet the girls and either love them (Vicki) or hate them (Barbie). We get to meet the producer and do not like him at all but he does what needs to be done to get these girls ready.
Seige/CJ/Chuck..holy hotness…yes ladies he is “the one” for our Kyle. He makes butter melt what it’s in the freezer with his seduction. We see stubborn Kyle not happy that she can’t have him but we are so excited to see what is in store for them in one more summer….eeep…..

Ky’s life is shaped by her up growing. Her parents are hippies but suddenly grow roots for her. Their happy go lucky family life is destroyed by one parents action and then by the other ones rebound actions. This heart break will shape our young character and force her to harden her heart allowing her to make assumptions when she shouldn’t. Her parents dysfunctional relationship will be a bad role modeling that Ky will assume all relationships will be like especially after everything with Decker and even Seige.

The books doesn’t leave us with a cliff hanger but definitely a need to read book 2 when it releases as the girl just released a single and are beginning a tour!!! Their dreams are just starting to be realized and their journey is just starting.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On the Road, Book 2-
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
This book is a bit “darker” then our last book. The girls are growing up on the road. They are experiencing all the “fun” that rockers get to partake in while on tour….sex, drugs and rock and roll. The beginning of the book is bit slower initially. We are in Kyle’s head while she is dealing with the first tour issues, Vicki’s drug addiction, Creepy management, Barbie’s mouth, Her “non-relationship” with CJ and much more. When Kyle gets her first break she is happy to be home. After a convo with CJ she decides if she can’t be with the one she wants, she will love the one she’s with. The girls all begin to spiral a bit more and more outta control….Sex, drugs and Rock n Roll is actually causing more and more troubles for our girls.
When the tour ends and we get to meet up with CJ for her birthday celebration, YUM!!! But as usual CJ and his truthful nature leaves us and Kyle feeling broken. The girls begin a second and third tour this book. The whole time they are falling more and more apart. We are seeing the disagreements and discord between the ladies. We are also seeing more and more from CJ and falling more and more in love with him but gets more broken hearted over his truthful nature with us.
The end of the book we are pretty much feeling exactly like Kyle is about the band. After a talk with our best friend CJ, Kyle decide that maybe his advice is what we should follow. The end of the book leaves us all on pins and needles. I can’t wait to see what happens. My heart was broken over Kyle and Liz’s friendship. I loved her and felt she was a great person for Kyle to bounce ideas off of.
On the Rocks, Book 3 –
I receive this book from the amazingly talented author for an honest review.
O.M.G. Hands down my favorite of the series. This book is everything you want and expect from Jade. There is turmoil, twists, sex, drama, and love!! The love is an Epic, soul shattering love that stands the test of time and situations for our two characters….Kyle and CJ.
This series has given me A LOT of twists and turns not to mention upset belly aches but this book beats them all hands down. I mean GAPS when Kyle………SPOILER…………………right…can you believe it? HAHA yeah so not gonna tell ya what Kyle does SEVERAL times to push CJ away because apparently the two of them don’t know what the word communication means!!!
This book we see our Kyle grown and mature in her music but her love life is still a HOT mess. She goes on tour with Jet and his band which throws her life into a tail spin of craziness. She has to deal with the fall out of the decisions she makes while wondering about CJ and her. She is dealing with the green eyed monster of jealousy from Liz’s rise to fame plus dealing with moving forward while leaving others behind.
This book our girl really sprouts and finds herself but also loses herself when it comes to CJ. The love that WE the readers see but they can’t see made me wanna throat punch them both SEVERAL times. I will say that there was a scene where I actually SWOONED over CJ like hard core. All I gotta say is when a drunk man walks miles to get to you…Sigh…..you better listen and listen up good!!!?
This book sets up soo nicely for the next installment of the Feverish series. All I gotta say is DIBS ON BRIAN!!!! Right Jade? Please? Just don’t tell Daddy Brad.
“Nobody puts Baby in a corner.” While you’re more likely to see Jade headbanging than Dirty Dancing, she–like Baby–won’t be put in a corner…or a box. My Boyfriend's Dad: a forbidden romance
What I desire is something I shouldn’t have…
Everything about my life is crap—except for my relationship with my boyfriend Brendan. He’s sweet and thoughtful but maybe too much so…because he won’t take what I’m freely giving him: my body.
On my eighteenth birthday, Brendan’s dad Logan pulls me into an embrace that seems to last longer than it should, setting my mind racing with desire and thoughts of forbidden deeds, things I shouldn’t crave. The last man I should want is my boyfriend’s dad—and yet I can’t get him out of my mind. Of all the guys in the world, Logan is the one male off limits to me.
Except this older man is in my every lustful thought, driving me to distraction.
I think I could get over this crush—except I discover his feelings for me are not so innocent, leaving me torn between loyalty and desire…
WHAT!!!!!!!!!!! Jade GUUURL!!!  The sexual chemistry was oooooffffff the chain in this book.  OMG I wanted to sample some of that tall drink of water AKA Her Boyfriend’s Dad AKA Logan.
Bree goes through a lot in this book.  She loves her boyfriend Bren but why wont he take things further with her *wink*.  I mean what teenage boy turns down a willing girl???  UHM not many but Brendan is all about “waiting”.  Bree seeks advice from Logan, Brendan’s dad when things start to change and develop between Bree and him.
The two have some great chemistry and when things “progress” for Bree we can see and feel the guilt she feels.  She cheated. Period.  She cheated, and it will destroy her boyfriend.  It will destroy their future.  As the book progresses, we can see Bree is really conflicted about both the men in her life.  She loves Brendan but why is she thinking about Logan.  Why does being part from Logan make her so sad.  Why is Brendan still not interested in her???
When things start to come out about Brendan’s reasons for waiting we think Bree and Logan MIGHT have a chance when a BIG Plot twists is thrown at us.  I have to admit I felt so bad and sad for her with her new possible reality.  But I still loved Logan and was praying to Sweet Baby Jesus to find away for our couple to be together.
The final chapter of the book was GREAT!!  I loved the time hop.  We got to see what everyone was doing and how everyone was feeling after a couple of years have passes.  I kinda hope we might get a book about Brendan because he is a great character plus his HEA looks like a great read!!
Jade C. Jamison
For years, Jade C. Jamison tried really hard to write what she thought was more “literary” fiction, but she found herself compelled to write what you read by her today–sometimes gritty, raw, realistic stories and other times humorous, light tales–but most of the stories she writes revolve around relationships and characters finding their way through life. While she doesn’t confine herself to just one genre, nor is there a nice neat label for what she writes, most of her work could be called erotic romance. Her main writing passions include rock star romance, romantic comedy, and romantic suspense.
She lives in Colorado with her husband and four children.
Jade C. Jamison was born and raised in Colorado and has decided she likes it enough to stay forever. Jade’s day job is teaching Creative Writing, but teaching doesn’t stop her from doing a little writing herself.
Unfortunately, there’s no one genre that quite fits her writing. Her work has been labeled romance, erotica, suspense, and women’s fiction, and the latter is probably the safest and closest description. But you’ll see that her writing doesn’t quite fit any of those genres.
#Review – Dead (Nicki Sosebee #2) by Jade C. Jamison
synopsis
 Nicki Sosebee’s adventures continue…
Nicki’s love life might suck, but her sex life is great. The only way both could be spectacular would be if her best friend Sean would look at her as more than just a friend. Nicki knows she’s stuck in the friend zone, so she focuses her energies on her job. She’s becoming a better reporter every day, so when her editor asks her to interview a local politician, Nicki is thrilled. But when the politician’s secretary ends up dead, it’s anybody’s guess as to who did it. Nicki has a few ideas, though, and finds herself in deep trouble as she pokes her nose where she thinks it belongs.
Nicki Sosebee is a strong woman who’s not afraid to go after what she wants, whether it’s a man or a story. She’s tough and her mouth shows it. She’s a free spirit and feels no need to apologize for who she is or what she believes in. DEAD is #2 in the Nicki Sosebee series.
Warning: Not for the faint of heart! This book contains explicit sex and naughty language. Proceed with caution…if you dare.
Melinda's Review
I received a copy of this book for an honest review.
I am enjoying this series the suspense and drama is great. Each story you follow one of Nicki’s news leads and where they lead her you have no idea and the predicaments she ends up in can be nail biting. Not only do you follow her news leads but you get to see into her personal life too. Yes, we get to see more of Sean *sigh* OH sorry I was day dreaming and drooling over him for a minute Sean is one sexy man.  Oh OK back to the review.
Nicki is looking into a murder of a not so nice woman that Nicki just so happened to know from High School. All fingers are pointing to one man the woman’s boss well in Nicki’s eyes anyway that is who the finger is pointing too. The local Politician invites Nicki to the Hoity Toity event he is putting on to prove there was nothing going on between them. Boy Nicki doesn’t hold back asking questions of the quest at this big affair and while there she sees Sean’s friend Jesse. Wow if Sean’s not careful he may have someone giving him a run for his money after those steamy kisses.
I so love Nicki and her no hold bar attitude no matter it be with men or her job she goes after what she wants no backing down. She is one smart tough cookie. I cannot wait to read more Nicki, see were her next writing adventure takes her, and how the whole Nicki/Sean/Jesse thing goes.
Guest Post -Why We Read Romance – by Jade C. Jamison
Jade bio pic
Twinsie Favorite Author Jade Jamison stopped by the write a quick Guest Spotlight on Why We Read Romance……so with out further ado…….Take it away Hottie!
Why We Read Romance
Last fall, I informally surveyed my readers.  I’d been told for ages that I needed to know my demographic and, for purposes of marketing, I decided to ask readers to voluntarily answer some questions anonymously.  I knew, long before reading the answers, that my main readers were female and most likely between the ages of twenty and fifty.
Well, I might have been a little off on the ages (my main readers are over 25 and don’t stop till their sixties), but I was right about the gender—not a single male completed the survey.  I know I do have one or two male readers; I know they exist because I chat with them online on occasion, just like I do my female readers.  But it’s no secret that the main demographic for romance novels is women.
One of the questions on my survey, an optional question, asked why my readers read.  I received responses that were no surprise:  people read to escape everyday life or to try to figure out something about their own situations by reading how a character solved his or her own issues.  What I should have asked was why my readers chose specifically to read romance, but between their answers and my own know-how, I can tell you the main reasons why we read romance.  Which reasons are yours?
Oh, very quickly, one aside—while I think we all might like the occasional romance with a dark ending, by its very definition, romance novels don’t necessarily have to have a happily ever after (HEA), but they should have an ending that is hopeful (whether that’s an ending with a HEA, HFN—happy for now, or just hopeful in general).  And now, without further ado, a few reasons why we read romance:
  1. We read romance to escape. No, this doesn’t mean we’re unhappy with our relationships, but maybe we have stuff going on in our lives that we need a little time away from.  Perhaps we have a job we dislike or our kids are struggling in school.  We know we need to solve these problems and we want to, but it’s neither productive nor healthy to think and stress about our problems 24/7.  In fact, it’s sometimes easier to solve problems when we’ve had a break from worrying about them.  Think about it—how good are you going to be at solving that problem at work tomorrow morning if you can’t sleep because that’s all you’ve thought about?  But, if you pick up that romance novel that has you instead fretting over a fictional character’s relationship, you can go to sleep with lighter thoughts and maybe get a good night’s sleep, allowing you to tackle that work problem fresh as a daisy in the AM…unless, of course, you stayed up all night reading.  (Be sure to set healthy limits!)
  2. We read for hope. Sometimes our own lives will get us down.  There’s no getting around it.  We all have a few dark moments in our existence.  We might have a time when we don’t have any hope for our future and just can’t find it within ourselves to try…but then, we pick up a book, and it gives us hope.  After all, if Brad and Valerie can make it through their tough times, maybe there’s hope for us, right?  Even when your future seems bleakest, reading a romance novel will help you see a little beacon of hope on the horizon.
    On top of that, think of it this way:  my life might suck right now, but compared to everything the protagonist is experiencing in the romance novel I’m reading?  I’ve got it easy…and I’m not thinking about all the crap in my life when I’m reading about what’s going on in her life.
  3. We read to find solutions for our own problems. Yes, we can find solutions in other types of fiction as well, but what makes romance unique is its focus on relationships, and very often, romance is written for women, with women in mind, and by women, so even though reading John Grisham’s Rogue Lawyer kept me on the edge of my seat, intrigued me, and had me wondering what happened next, nothing that occurred in between the front and back covers helped me solve my own real-life problems.
    But a story about a woman balancing being a mom and finding the love of her life, or a couple struggling to seeing eye to eye, or a gal trying to find peace at work—those are things I can relate to, and sometimes reading how a character resolves her problems will give me an idea of how to take care of some of my own issues.
  4. We read for ideas about how to handle our own intimate relationships. Most everyone will have problems with their partner once in a while.  Part of being human is learning to deal with those kinds of difficulties and grow or learn from them.  Sometimes, we’ll seek advice from a trusted friend about how to deal with a situation involving our partner, but those people we trust are not always the best at giving advice, because they’re on our side!  And let’s face it—they are usually only hearing one side of the story.  And, once in a while, one of our problems might be too embarrassing to share—even with a trusted confidante!  Reading a romance novel will sometimes help you see your situation and give you ideas about how to handle it, and it does so without judging you or your situation.
  5. It spices up our lives! I can’t tell you how many of my readers have told me that devouring romance novels (especially steamy ones) has helped revamp their sex lives.  You love your husband and always will, but after being together a while and dealing with bills, kids, and other stressors together, finding romance again or feeling aroused with each other becomes a little harder.  “Not tonight, dear” goes on for more and more nights as time goes on.  We get in a rut as things grow familiar.
    Women aren’t typically visual creatures when it comes to our imaginations.  Unlike most men who find porn or sexy pictures arousing, women usually tend to need to find stimulation in their minds—and reading can do that.  Whereas a man can look at a few sexy pics and be raring to go, the same thing happens to a lot of women reading a steamy love story.  That hot couple getting it on in her most recent romance read translates into the need to jump her husband’s bones that night at bedtime.  Reading sexy books can help reignite that spark, creating a win-win for a loving couple who hasn’t experienced passion in a while.
So…the next time someone looks down their nose at you for reading romance, you can tell them that it helps with your outlook on life (saving you from hours and hours of therapy, not to mention the cost), not to mention the strength of your marriage.  There aren’t many other hobbies that’ll do that, but I think it’s safe to say that reading is a healthy pastime, especially when considering so many alternatives.  That said, pick up your next hot read and start flipping those pages!
 When Jade C. Jamison’s not reading, she’s been known to write a romance novel or two herself.  You can visit her at www.jadecjamison.com.
synopsis
Is it too much to believe that someone keeps returning to your life because it’s meant to be?
Zane Carson is an idealistic young man with one big skeleton in his closet when he first meets Jennifer Manders in college. They date only to break up soon after. The sexual attraction is like an electromagnet but they fight like alley cats. The relationship just isn’t worth it.
Zane’s band Fully Automatic breaks big about the same time Jennifer finishes college. One summer afternoon, they meet for coffee and sparks fly once more. It’s off again, on again, but they just can’t make it work and break it off for good, deciding it’s not worth the effort.
But Zane is drawn to her and, during a break in the music action, he tracks her down again, willing to change himself for her and needing to give her one last try. The attraction is as strong as ever, but now Jennifer is hiding something from Zane—something big, something that threatens to extinguish the spark for good. When Zane discovers her secret, will he be able to forgive her or will that be the end?
“I can tell you exactly why. Three reasons.” She raised her eyebrows as he raised his index finger. “One, it’s almost downtown, and I know you avoid downtown like the plague. If I recall, you said something about rather losing a limb than walk the Sixteenth Street Mall again.”
“I said that?”
“Yeah.”
“Well…maybe that was a little drastic.”
“Yeah, probably.” He lifted the bottle of Dos Equis and then said, “Two, it’s a little hole in the wall. It doesn’t advertise like some of the bigger restaurants—no billboards, no newspaper ads, shit like that.”
Jennifer nodded. “Okay, yeah. And what’s number three?”
Zane leaned over the table and whispered. “It’s kind of a dive.” Jennifer couldn’t help but giggle. “But in a good way.”
She laughed out loud at that. “Yeah, definitely.” She picked up a chip and dipped it in the warm queso next to Zane’s bottle. “The food is amazing so far.”
“Just wait.”
The waiter came by with a pitcher. “More water, señorita?”
“Please.” After the waiter was back on his way, she said to Zane, “I love it. I love the people and I even love that stupid TV in the corner.”
Zane glanced over. “Yeah, well…”
“No, seriously. They don’t have the sound on, but it somehow makes it feel like home in here, you know? Lights and movement, but the sounds are coming from the kitchen and some weird soundtrack.”
Zane breathed through his nose, putting on a look of mock horror and said, “What if it’s our soundtrack?”
“What do you mean?”
“What if this is our movie? A movie about our lives…and that’s the soundtrack?”
“Three things.”
Zane grinned. “What?”
“One…if this is our movie, it’s pretty damn boring. No car chases, no sex scenes, no snappy dialogue—”
“Says who? My dialogue’s plenty snappy.”
“Two, the soundtrack sucks.”
“Well, don’t be telling them that.”
“And…I don’t have a three. I guess just two.”
A smirk covered Zane’s face. “And we can take care of the sex scene later.”
AND she’s back! Who might you ask? Well of course I am talking about the hard rocking Queen herself…Jade Jamison and her fascinating, complex Fully Automatic cast of characters and in particular Zane, the quietly messed up bass player who lives his life on the edge and crosses the line one too many times before he falls from the cliff….
A lot of twists and a few surprises (some more expected than others) make this sixth book in the Bullet series a wonderful comeback for Jamison…after all the zombies, girl rockers and girl reporters of her other projects, I was very happy she went back to the series I first fell in love with and did an amazing job. Highly recommend if you have read and loved all the boys in Fully Automatic.” ~ Sue Banner, top Amazon reviewer
“When I finished this book my heart was so sad. Sad not at the book but sad that this was it. This was the end of the line for the Bullet guys. This was the end of a series that I have grown to love and looked forward to reading for years…” ~ Angie J, Twinsie Talk Book Blog, www.twinsietalk.com
Melinda's Review
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
As I read this I wanted to soak up every piece of it because it’s the last of the Bullet Series and I will l miss these guys yes ever Ethan. They have all gotten their HEA well all but Zane and now could it be his turn. Will he get clean and stay sober for the one he has always loved or will his addictions win again?
Jennifer went through so much with Zane during college then with their on again off again relationship of dealing with their fighting and his infidelity and additions. It has been 2 years since Zane has contacted Jen and she has to make sure he has changed before she lets her walls down again. There is just too much at stake now.
Watching Zane trying to make the changes in his life he needs to prove to Jen he is changing warmed my heart. What he did for Hen at his house was amazing even if he did have a little help from the housekeeper. I enjoyed being able to see Brad , Val, Ethan, and Jenna all doing so well and their families were growing. I sure am going to miss this group thanks for the amazing journey.
Here is one of my favorites:
Maybe he was her soul mate if there was such a thing. Yes, if there was, Zane was it, because she’d felt a connection to him from their first date. They’d somehow clicked.
