Gripping the phone, I nodded, though I knew he couldn’t see me.
“If I were there, I’d unwrap you, like a fucking Christmas present. Each piece of your clothing would find its way to the floor as I exposed your perfect, sexy-as-hell body. I’d run my fingers and tongue over every inch of that soft skin, tasting you and leaving goose bumps as a trail of my exploration.”
My eyes closed as his words touched me.
“Princess, I’d punish your ass for your insolence in pushing to go back to the city tomorrow and for scaring the shit out of me by not answering your phone. Then after I turned it fire-engine red, I’d make it feel better, showing you how much I admire your strength and determination.”

“I’m not there,” Nox continued, “but I’m going to take what I can get. Do you have a problem with that?”

“Is the bedroom door locked?” he asked.

Without thinking, my feet, covered with fuzzy socks, landed on the soft rug that surrounded the big bed. My socks slid as I skated across the wood floor, no longer worried about ghosts or Demetri secrets.
My thoughts were now consumed with everything Nox.
I tested the knob. As I did, it clicked and the small button within the knob popped out. I pushed the button back in and verbally confirmed my mission. “The door’s locked.”
“Are the blinds shut?”
I turned toward the windows. Was it still raining? I couldn’t hear anything but the way Nox’s voice reverberated through the phone, sending shockwaves throughout my body, my blood coursing to keep up. “They’re shut.”
“Keep the lights on.”
My hand lingered over the switch. Would he know if I disobeyed?
“Tell me they’re on.”
With a sigh, I did as he said and moved my hand away from the switch. “They’re still on.”

My lower lip disappeared as I hit the speaker button and laid my phone on the bed.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I love to read Onne’s stories because they are always super fun…hot and sexy plus always fun too.

Galen is Cupid.  Like he is THE man.  In the last book, which I didn’t read and it didn’t affect my reading of this story, he caused a major problem…like a big time no-no.  SO his grandma and father are not too happy.  They decide to punish him and teach him a lesson.

Stripped literally and figuratively, he is dumped outside naked in Detroit.  Enter our heroine Cassie.  She steps in and helps to take care of Galen until his memory returns because the story he is telling has to be from a head injury right????

Galen and Dmitri, Cassie’s dad, crack me up a lot in the book.  Dmitri wants his daughter to be respected and treated well by Galen all the while Cassie is throwing herself at Galen…snicker…if only daddy knew who the naughty one in this situation really was.

The story is a quick and fun ready.  I mean we get to find out about the great war the Roman Gods are having with Santa Clause and his people….SEE FUNNY STUFF all the while waiting for Galen and Cassie to finally make a love connection.

Seriously though, this book was really fun and I sat one after noon and read through it laughing and fanning myself…f you are loking for something funny this is a good book to take a chance with.

Onne Andrews is currently trapped in a tiny Great Lakes town and writes erotic fiction to keep from turning into Stephen King’s Carrie. Cheesecake also calms the monster in her.

I so enjoyed this quick insta-love read, even though it is a quick read it is fast paced and pack full of hot alpha military male, suspense, a feisty female, and some hot sexy scenes.

Brecken Kane who is ex-military and now owns a security company is hired to save Hadley Gresham. Little does Hadley’s father know when he shows Brecken a picture of Hadley Brecken decided then and there he was going to save her and she was going to be his.

Hadley knows she was kidnapped because of her father even though she thinks there is either no way her dad could save her or even forgot about her she still has fight in her. She is surprised when her savior does come for her one glance at Brecken and she is attracted. However, after having to hike miles in the jungle after being saved she soon realizes this is more than an attraction.  All I can say is the water fall scene was so HOT.

Rochelle Paige has such a way of dragging you into a story and making you want to turn the pages. This is a short story but it is not short on anything. It is packed with romance and suspense. I do wish it was longer only because I felt a connection to Brecken and Hadley and just wanted more. I am enjoying this series and cannot wait to see what’s next.

I absolutely adore reading – always have and always will. My friends growing up used to tease me when I would trail after them, trying to read and walk at the same time. If I have downtime, odds are you will find me reading or writing.

I am the mother of two wonderful sons who have inspired me to chase my dream of being an author. I want them to learn from me that you can live your dream as long as you are willing to work for it.
