AHHHH Mistress Sammie and Master Max….What an explosive couple we have in this book. Jenna did a great job nailing down the emotion and the hurt that Sammie has over why she left her submissive side behind her. I was so hurt for her. I mean I can totally SEE WHY she needed the have control even if she was really a sub at heart.

Max is totally attracted to Sammie and confused at why this sub was a Domme??? It just didn’t add up for him. When he pushes and pushes and finally pushed his way in to her safe sanctuary one night and finds out her pain and secret….my heart hurt for her.

Max totally knew what to do and how to treat Sammie to get her to realize there is nothing wrong with embracing a new Master just like it’s still ok to love her old one. I loved this story like mad crazy. Jenna’s writing just flows off the page and before you know it the story is over leaving you sad because you are now stuck waiting again for the next book!!

Oh boy the Justice Brothers are back! This time Heath Justice meets his match is a romance writer who happens to be his new partner’s sister, London. London is all spunk, sass, and determination which of course our Heath find super attractive! You can only imagine the fun this story will you take you.

Heath and the Derek, his new partner, go to have some breakfast at his parent’s house when he spies someone breaking in….he goes to arrest said suspect, after a quick frisking of course, when he is informed of who she is!! The thunder bolts strike both at the same time and the attraction is pretty instant that even gran can see it 😊 The couple begin to see each other while dealing with the murder cases that keep getting throw his way. One of the murders directly affects his family as its Harper’s father. The guys go on the case to solve the case while getting thrown a lot of curve balls alone the way.

I love the fact that the mystery aspect of the story as just as important as the love story. Fiona does a great job weaving both story lines and keeping you invested in the characters and the “who done it”. Everything is well crafted and definitely kept me guessing “who and why” through the story while also saying “yes and please” to the story of Heath and London!!

Wow! What happens when you lose your family to your enemy but you are the leader of an MC and everyone looks to you for answers? Well let me tell you Hooch starts to self-destruct until the free spirit Dagne is brought to his doorstep.

Hooch is the president of the Fort Worth Chapter of the Fallen Aces MC. He lost his dad and sister on the same day. He is on a mission to do anything not to feel anymore. I have to say I was not sure I was going to love this brooding man.

Dagne lives life as it comes she goes where ever the wind takes her and this time it was on the back of Digits bike to Fallen Aces MC. She learned quickly that they do not bring out the welcoming committee and red carpet when someone new shows up.

Hooch was not the nicest neither were certain women in the club but man could she hold her own when the time was needed. Hooch gave her odd jobs that were usually saved for prospects but she never complained and did a great job.

The chemistry between Hooch and Dagne was great. Hooch and Dagne carved their way to my heart. A few of the Butcher Boys made appearances it was nice to get to see them. Chan I just say the laundry room scene about broke me. The story line and the twist that Max Henry put in this one had me flipping pages it was great. I cannot wait for more of this series.

But fuck it—he needs to hear it. “I also know what it’s like to be hurt so bad that you finally believe that day has come, and in that second your foolishness and selfish thoughts come back to haunt you. What it’s like to realize when you’re faced with your own mortality that you don’t want to die … you just wish you were someone else, living another life.”

“Dagne—”

“Ah.” I lift my finger to stop him. “Nope. I’m not finished, mister.”

A small smile plays at the corner of his lips, and he reaches out to wipe my tears. “Carry on.”

“What you have to face is that you have the power to be somebody else. Fuck what your head tells you, Hooch. Your mind is a goddamn liar. It feeds off your fear, shows you your flaws while hiding your strengths. If you’re not happy,” I say, jabbing him in the chest, “change it. Do something about it. But don’t quit.”

“I’ve tried.” He captures my hand, focusing on the flesh of my palm as he traces the lines with his finger. “I really have, but my battery’s run dry, girl.”

“No,” I say, shaking my head. “It hasn’t. You just haven’t found what charges it yet.”

The Alpha’s Secret Family (Howls Romance #3) by Jessie Lane

I grabbed this book off Amazon.

So I grabbed this book because of 2 things….shifters and Jessie. I love her PNR worlds and so of course I wouldn’t pass up on this book either.

Our Alpha Pack Leader, Stone, sees the new salon owner in town and his wolf informs him that she is HIS. Period. He spends a good portion of the book trying to get her to go out with him. I loved the ways he tried and the banter between the two. The book is pretty quick and insat-love but hey its shifters so that is cool with me. Ya know the whole “Mine” thing they do!!

The book then kind of splits into a mystery after Stone and Dia are dating. It seems someone is after Dia and Stone must protect his mate at all costs.

I loved the references to a certain Princess movie that I think every woman loves. I also loved the cray over the top alpha stuff that Stone does because let’s face ladies, we do love the over the top alpha stuff!! But seriously, if you like Jessie’s other books and you want to read a fun, sexy and uick read, this book is a good read.

*Purrrr* oh Marcus you sweet and delicious shifter you!! I gotta tell ya Hunter stole my heart but you had me giving some sideways glances because something about you just made me go HRMMMM. Seeing you finally get that sassy but quiet red head was a great story.

Roxy has lived a life of horror and she is happy and content living in the shifter town. She is hiding out from her past and doesn’t have any hope or dreams for a future even if a certain alpha brother doesn’t catch her eye.

We have a lot going on in the book. The town is rebuilding from the last books destruction plus new shifters are wanting to join the pack ANNND let’s not forget about Roxy’s past coming back all thanks to a jealous townie. So yeah, a lot happens in this book. Its uber fast paced but the story of Marcus and Roxy is super sweet and emotional. Marcus’ devastated to learn about her past and his over protective side really kicks in high gear for his mate. Roxy gains so much strength and courage that we see her transform from the frightened girl to a strong, determined woman!!! I Loved the banter between the two once all the cards were laid out on the table as far as it being a “them” vs a “you and me”.

There are so many character lines still open and hope that we discover the truth about Devon? Taz? Leda?? Please don’t leave us hanging for long Teresa!!

I grabbed this book off Amazon for free when I knew that I would be seeing this author at an author signing.

I love novella’s because they give you a feeling for an author and their series. If I like a novella for a series I am more inclined to read a whole book in the series. Well this book gave me a great bit of insight to this authors writing. I gotta tell ya, I am super excited to read more!

So this short but sweet story does end in kinda a cliffhanger but not really a cliff hanger?? Does that make sense?? In a way this book is set up for as a serial, IMO, then a novella…does that kinda clarify my comments about it being cliff hangery???

Annabelle and Jackson have had it bad for each other for a long time. When they both end up staying at Annabelle’s family cabin at the same time and don’t know it….wow baby does it get steamy.

I loved that we, the reader, knew both the characters were at the house together but it took a few chapters for the characters to discover it and WHAT A WAY TO DISCOVER IT!!!

This is a super quick, steamy read but one I can’t wait to finish!

Shannon started her writing career while still serving in the US Army. As an NCO in the Army she lead and trained soldiers. As a company Supply Sergeant in the Army she was responsible for millions of dollars worth of Army equipment.

Warranted Pleasures is the first book of a series of 3 that will focus on Military Romance. Shannon grew up in Macomb, IL where she graduated from High School in 1987 and soon after joined the US Army. Shannon served from 1987 to 2015 during Operation Desert Storm and during Operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Shannon Served on Active Duty and Active Guard Reserve Program for the US Army Reserves, also in the Iowa and Illinois National Guard as well as in the US Army Reserves. She also worked as a US Army Recruiter for 4 years.

Shannon studied Psychology and Law Enforcement at Western Illinois University in Macomb, IL for 6 years and worked for the US Department of Defense as a civilian GS worker for 6 years with ROTC at Eastern Illinois University.

In April 2015 Shannon retired from the US Army with 23 years of service as a Unit Supply Sergeant in several Army units. She is a mother of 4 children and a grandma to 1. She has been married 22 years to her husband Ken. They reside in Staunton, IL a small town along Old Route 66.
