Review by Twinsie Angie

I purchased the audio and ebook combo from Amazon.

First up let me start with the narration….LOVED them BOTH!!  They both did a great job bringing the characters to life and hitting the comedy at the right time.  Audio can ruin any good book, but I think this combo did a great job bringing the story even more alive for me a listener.

Look I am a sucker for a good 2nd chance story and this one did not disappoint.  Now there were times when I was like “Girl Imma smack you” or even “BOOOOOYYYYYY” but that is a given in any good book right???

This is the story of young love that was destroyed through miscommunication…yeah let’s call it that.  The two are so in love and at the same time do not communicate so it caused issues for them as teens and again at times as adults.

Cassie needs money, and even though I felt she was a bit naïve with why she needed the money, she was going to sell her childhood home.  Her grandparent’s home.  The one with all her good memories.  The house needs a lot of updating and so she is stuck seeing HIM….Robbie.  The one who broke her heart in to a million pieces.

Robbie never understood why things went they way they did.  His life is at a crossroads.  He either marries his current girlfriend, who he is talking time away from to sort through things (no cheatin’ here people)  or he walks away and starts over again someplace else once his things at home are sorted.

Having Cassie return makes Robbie and Cassie start to remember the love they have but seems others just can’t have it.  We start to see some drama from ex’s and parents and everything else get in the way for the couple.

I did enjoy the story and love when people can find their way back to their better half or the perfect fit to their soul. Cassie and Robbie definitely are that for the others.

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

This novella is everything you want for a short, quick read on a cold and dreary day.  Gah I wanted to read by the pool and instead I’m reading with a hoodie …in JUNE!!  Crazy!

This novella is a short read with so many possibilities for future books and I am here for them.  Sam and Grady will be a delicious read for another day.  But this book is about nerdy, hot bartender Levi and recently divorced Kenzie who quits her job and runs to the beautiful lake for the summer.  She needs to figure things out and figures them right in to the hot bartender’s bed…wiggle eyes.

The book is a jump through the summer where we are seeing scenes from Kenzie and her time with Levi, Sam, and her bestie Devin.  We see the start of something more with Levi which FREAKS Kenzie out.  She must make some decisions about her life and possible love before the end of the month.

I liked the novella and how it jumped through time.  We get to see the relationship develop and we see her building bonds with people which makes the thought of leaving tough.  I loved the end and the resolution and hope for more quick reads from the other side characters as well.

Britni Hill is a new adult and contemporary romance author. She spends her days as a hair stylist, and her nights with the characters in her head striving to write real, page turning romance.

Britni lives in Indiana where she was born and raised. She has a rescue pup she adores and an unhealthy love of binging on cheesy, teenage dramas. If she isn’t writing, she’s reading or watching horror flicks with her boyfriend.

I was born in Bangor, Maine. I attended the University of Maine in Presque Isle where I graduated with a BA in English. I spend as much time as I can with my family, and love my two boys more than anything in this world. I also have three adorable furrbabes (2 dogs and 1 cat). I have some amazing friends (you know who you are) and I spend a lot of time conversing with people online through games and other platforms. I have met many from all over the world this way. I am so incredibly thankful for the people in my life, because I am constantly inspired by their presence. You can either find me behind my phone, laptop, or pc — writing, texting, gaming, or playing silly Facebook games like candy crush ( I will win some day!).

If I were to be characterized, I would want to be described as a quirky romantic. That is why you will find romance in all of my books, with some suspense and drama and a little mind sorcery to make everything just a bit more quirk-minded.

#REVIEW – When She Returned by Lucinda Berry

One woman’s reappearance throws her family into turmoil, exposing dark secrets and the hidden, often devastating truth of family relationships.
Kate Bennett vanished from a parking lot eleven years ago, leaving behind her husband and young daughter. When she shows up at a Montana gas station, clutching an infant and screaming for help, investigators believe she may have been abducted by a cult.
Kate’s return flips her family’s world upside down—her husband is remarried, and her daughter barely remembers her. Kate herself doesn’t look or act like she did before.
While the family tries to help Kate reintegrate into society, they discover truths they’ve been hiding from each other about their own relationships. But they aren’t the only ones with secrets. As the family unravels what happened to Kate, a series of shocking revelations shows that Kate’s return is more sinister than any of them could have imagined.

So this is actually my first book ever by Lucinda and it definitely won’t be my last. I’ve become obsessed with this genre only just recently and am happy to have given it a chance.

We meet Kate. She’s happily married to an amazing man and they share a daughter together. She’s a journalist and ends up interviewing a local “cult” called “Love International”. Unfortunately for her, she ends up getting sucked into their cause and all they stand for.

We find out that Kate had actually been missing for eleven years. Of course Scott, her husband, moved on. His life with his new wife, quickly unravels when Kate suddenly shows back up after being gone for so many years.

While reading this book, I tried guessing what the why and how but I definitely never predicted the ending.

I find cults fascinating and terrifying both at the same time. Kate never stood a chance with Ray and his charismatic ways. You learn what she went through while being with them. What they all went through.

I think I would have loved to have seen some parts in Ray’s point of view but am happy none the less with how this book ended.

I felt for all of the characters in this book and how they deal with a woman who had been gone for so long and suddenly was back. There was something odd about Kate that I never trusted. But you’ll have to read this book to find out if my hunch was right or not.

I bought this book and this my honest opinion

Oh Dash our loving, dark brooding, scared soul, ginger its his turn his story and I’m all for it. Dash is trying to find his place in life learning how to move on after the horrible house fire that took place at his cottage. Getting drunk and smashing shit with a sledgehammer, wasn’t the answer he was looking for, getting help from his brothers and Ariel would be the thing that helps him relax a bit, move on, and learn to realize that you can still have a memory without having a place to live where all horrible things happened to you. Ahh i jut over this novella Dash is just someone you want to hug and tell them everything is going to be ok.

Review by Twinsie Melinda

Received a copy of this book for an honest review.

So excited to see Last Five Seconds.  I so missed these guys, really Jet/Clay is still my favorite and loved seeing him. This one is about Brian Zimmer and a model Sophia.  Talk about taking a roller coaster ride with these two.

Sophia was on a mission to teach Brian a lesson. Brian and Sophia did not get along but his manager makes it so she is seen with him to increase the bands publicity.  These two did not get along at all but they keep getting tossed together.  They soon realize that Brian’s manager could be right and any press good or bad could be good for both of their carriers.

Once these two started spending time together the fireworks starting filling the sky.  Man does Brian know how to bring on the heat. I enjoyed this story and love all these guys.  It took me a bit to warm up to Sophia but she really shined by the end. I loved the little teaser at the end now I’m so excited for the next book.

A favorite quote:

Brian knew he’d just scored major points here. Maybe now they could move past their distrust and anger. If nothing else, at least he knew one part of her loved him – and that one part she had little control over. Brian’s job now would be to win her entire heart.

Review by Twinsie Angie

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

Brian!!  I fell in crazy love with you in this series.  When you got married to Kyle in The Vagabond series. I was a little sad because she was not the right person for you.  Don’t get me wrong..we loved her but not with you.  I was a smidge worried about you but was so excited you finally got your HEA.

When I opened the book and read the first chapter I was hooked.  I mean turning hate to love is a tough road and after the way Sophia treated him….I was loving it.  Sorry Brian but I was.  She GOT YOU DUDE!!

Brian and Sophia meet up again and sparks FLY.  Seems they are so compatible they combust at each turn. Even when they want to apologize, they end up fighting. The couple soon realize negative press is good for business.  With the guy’s album sales sluggish and reviews not being so kind plus Sophia realizes that this is great for booking gigs…they continue the ruse.  However, the ruse soon blows up in their faces when there are soon hiding real feelings.

I love Brian like I said before and getting to know more about “him” and why he is the jokester and funny guy made me love him even more.  Sophia is like any struggling model and soon she realizes that maybe she wants more out of life then just being a pretty face.  Law isn’t her passion but what she wants she doesn’t know but she needs Brian by her side to complete her life.

I enjoyed the story plus seeing all the other couples but reading the chapter for the next book had my heart all kinds of excited for what is to come!!!

Review by Twinsie Angie

I purchased the book/audio whisper snyc off Amazon.

Ok so the narration for this book is yet again amazing.  Logan is the best at his job.  I admit I am being super picky with my male narration voices anymore.  Logan has crept his way to the top for me.  He does a great job varying voices for the characters and what I love the most, his female voices don’t sound squeaky and high pitched.

Lee-Lee…sis!!  You know I fell in love with your sassy fire attitude in your brothers’ book and now I get to see you up close and personal.  Lee-Lee has been under plastic bubble wrap from her overprotective but ever-loving brother.  He makes sure to chase ALL THE BOYS away but when Declan comes around, this MAN will not be swayed.

Declan is living life as a Grizzle when a broken ankle takes him to the ER.  When the sex doctor rolls in he is stunned that she is also super smart.  This is just the kind of women he can get on board with.  Then he realizes she hold his career in his hand so he was a total DB and thought he would wine and dine the doctor to get releases.  When he starts to love her, he is just as floored as the rest of the crew that he fell in love.

Lee-Lee has a plan.  She has a goal.  Yes Declan checks off the boxes but she will not be swayed away form her dream job at the dream hospital.  Thankfully, Declan makes her realize she can have more then just a career and have it with him if she just takes a chance.

The story begins to unfold, and a few issues get in the couple’s way like a jealous rival for her affection, a job change, and miscommunication.  I gotta say I loved how everything ended and how she was able to kick Declan’s older brother’s butt in to gear!    But now my eye is on Declan’s other brother for what life holds for him!!

Could you imagine waking up and having no memory of who you are or where you came from? Or, wondering why the only person you feel comfortable around, is someone you have never met?
This book had me guessing from the beginning and had me reading faster just to see if it was going to end like I wanted it to.
Greyson is- by far- one of my favorite MC books! The Hero is sexy as sin, a bad boy with a little bit of a soft side. The heroine is a little spitfire! Not afraid in the least to tell it like it is. I even loved some of the supporting characters, the fellow members of the Hell’s Harlem Motorcycle Club. I really hope some of them get books, too, because I need MORE!

I’m still reeling from this one. For all the Evers is an absolutely beautiful story. It has everything I love in a good romance book; a loveable Hero, a non annoying- completely independent heroine, and a downright horrible villain. I never wanted it to end. It was one of those rare books where I wish I could give more than a 5 star rating. I laughed, I cried, and I still have chills from the end- great job Debra Anastasia!
