I hate to see a great series come to a end and unfortunately this is it for the Fated Mates series. If anyone could end this series with a bang it would be Meredith. When we first met her she was breaking into the Fenrir corporation and Grant, as the New York alpha, had sentenced her to 10 years under his command instead of sending her to the lycan prison. As a lone wolf she was not happy to be stuck in one place for so long, but she would take it over prison.
She became besties with Jade, the super smart lycan scientist who found her fated mate in Taming the Beast, and Lara, a super powerful witch who found her mate in Witch’s Mate, both employed at Fenrir. She is a total smart a**, has no filter on what comes out of her mouth, and I love her!! I want to be besties with her!!!
Daric is a warlock who is working with the evil mage Stefan. He was in on the kidnaping of Cady Vfrost. He was captured and held prisoner at Fenrir, but has proven he isn’t that he isn’t really with Stefan by trying to kill him. He really had no choice but to follow him as he was holding his mother prisoner to get Daric to do his bidding.
I forgot to mention he a chocolate smelling, man bun wearing, hunk of a man too!!!
Meredith and her mouth have been assigned to be Daric’s guard while he works the group to bring down Stefan and his mages once and for all. Revenge is all that he has on his mind, revenge for what Stefan has done to his family, for the years that he has used Daric’s mother to insure his cooperation. However, there is something about the foul mouth lycan female that keeps pulling him to her and takes his mind somewhat away from that.
We are introduced to Meredith’s lone wolf brothers when they come to tell her that their adopted father is dead. Brother’s that are drop dead yummy!!!
What happens next is total craziness!! A traitor within the council, more kidnappings, hilarious bff conversations, unicorn underwear, Disney princesses!!! All the craziness is worth the beautiful ending though.
Oh, and just as I was thinking I will miss these characters and wish that we learned more about Mer’s brothers, there was a lovely surprise that I don’t want to spoil, but it’s AWESOME!!!!!

I love finding new authors, especially new authors that I can tell my reader friends about and I have found that in J.L. Leslie.
I was immediately sucked into Raiden’s world. Growing up she knew that the Ravens MC was her family, after all her grandfather started it and was the President and her father would take over the spot when she grew up. Her father helped find her calling in the club after the death of her mother.
Fast forward to grown up Raiden and she is a hidden club asset, one that only her father knows about. To the outside world it looks as if she and her father are estranged, if only the world really knew her, she is working a long term plan for the club that she came up with.
Then we have Luka Varelli a motorcycle riding MMA fighting hottie. He hates MC’s and wants nothing to do with them, but he makes a deal with the ADA to infiltrate the Raven’s to help get he’s brother Lincoln, who is in the Rykers MC the Raven’s enemy, out of jail.
What happens next is Luka and Raiden finding out about each other, more importantly they find something they didn’t know they were looking for in each other.
Leslie shows us that women can be tough as nails and still be desirable to a man and she also shows that the right man will help that woman become who she really is and stop hiding her true self.
I was left with that lovely feeling of wanting more. I wanna know if Luka and Lincoln can be brothers again, I wanna know more of Luka’s life before we met him. I wanna know if Raiden’s choice is gonna bite Ravens MC in the a**. I wanna know if they finally bring down the Rykers MC.

I am a happily married mother of three (two boys and one girl). I live in a very small town in Alabama. Never lived anywhere else. I’ve been writing since my early twenties, but I couldn’t seem to finish a book. I’ve started self-publishing with the encouragement from my mom. Without her encouragement, I don’t think I would’ve done it. She always supported me and writing is something I’ve always enjoyed doing. As long as I enjoy it, I’ll continue to do it. I get my inspiration from life experiences, movies, television, other authors, and music. Music is definitely a big influence on my writing. I can hear a song and it can inspire an entire book for me. I listen to it while I’m driving or before I start writing and it keeps me inspired. I like to put music in my books, even if it’s just one song the characters listen to or hear at some point. Sometimes music has gotten me through the really tough times in my life and that’s why it inspires me.

I like to write fast-paced, steamy romance reads. I like for my males to be alpha-males and my heroines to be strong, but both need to have one weakness- each other. I am an avid reader. I absolutely love romance books!

This is my first Joey Hill book and it’s the 10th book in the Nature of Desire series. I was a little nervous that I would be lost having never read any of this series before, but that wasn’t the case.
It was a little slow for me in the beginning, however once all the players were introduced I was intrigued.
Lady Regina is a Domme at The Zone, she is known to be strong and able to give any sub she tops what they need. She is not one to be screwed with though because she is more than able to take care of herself both physically and mentally.
Marius is a sub that into one nights with a Mistress. He’s hot, fun loving, and able to get a Mistress off anyway she wishes.
Marius has a dark side that comes out to mess with a Domme’s mind if he is pushed farther than his fun loving nature allows.
One night he goes too far, even for him, and is kicked out of the club and isn’t allowed back unless Lady Regina helps him.
So, Marius is like the title says truly helpless. He, I feel, can’t help becoming that asshole sub that pushes things too far, it’s his way of dealing with the feeling that are fighting inside him.
I love that even before they are put together that there is something inside of Marius that calls to Lady Regina. That coupled with the fact that there is something inside the screwed up sub that listens to her is the reason that the powers that be put her in charge of giving him the chance of returning to The Zone.
The scenes that are written of them outside of play scenes are just as beautifully written and explains Marius’s story in such a way that you can’t help but start to fall for him just like Lady Regina does.
Putting these two characters together was a perfect fit. Lady Regina is a lady I would love to be when I decide to grow up and it’s not just because she ended up with one hot as hell sub.
After learning what he truly wants and how to deal with the things inside him, Marius becomes a sub that any Domme would be proud to have.

Background: Regina is tending Marius after he competes in an illegal fight…
She stepped back. “You’ll do. I suppose you know a hot shower when you get home is the best remedy, on top of the ibuprofen you just took. Though I’d highly recommend a tetanus update and having your head examined.”
He kept staring at her. He wanted to make her nervous with his silence. Tough luck with that, boy, she thought. You want to self-gag, it doesn’t bother me.
Answering in kind, she tossed one final wipe into the trash and headed for the door. Embracing her Mistress side meant understanding there was an energy flow between Dom and sub once a connection was made, even if the connection was the rope in a tug of war. She rode that energy how it was meant to be ridden, not forcing her own expectations on it. It worked better that way. She’d accomplished what mattered most to her here, which was confirming he’d finally released that surfeit of potent energy from his session at the club earlier in the night. He was leveling out. While he could likely use a lot more aftercare, they were quite a distance from him earning that kind of treatment from her.
“You don’t want to talk about what happened in Tyler’s office?” he said abruptly. “Or why you followed me here?”
“No.” She continued to move toward the opening that would lead back to the ring area and then the parking lot. She didn’t need or want to stay any longer. She didn’t anticipate that he would do or say anything to hold her there longer, so it was a pleasant surprise when he did.
“You didn’t say what you thought of the fight.”
She pivoted and met his gaze. “No, I didn’t. Would you like to know?”
He could look wary, like an animal being baited into a trap. He had thick, dark lashes. His gray eyes were like the mirror surface of a lake. “Yeah,” he said at last.
“Okay.” She returned to him. There was a pen sitting next to the tray of gauze. Picking it up, she extended her hand, looking pointedly at one of his. When he offered it, she clasped his wrist and wrote an address on the inside of his forearm, along with Friday, 6:30pm.
His fingers flexed above her grip and she was aware of his breath stirring tendrils of hair against her cheek. Her hip pressed against his knee. She imagined sliding between his spread thighs, tasting the metallic flavor lingering on his lips, feeling the flex of his shoulder muscles under her splayed fingers and firm palms. His hands would curve over her hips, his own fingers digging in, showing he wanted and needed her.
Careful, girl, she thought. Don’t screw with your own head. He’ll do enough of that without your help.
“Meet me there and I’ll tell you.” Setting the pen aside, she laid a hand on the side of his face. His gaze lifted to her. “Get some rest. Take care of yourself.”
When he started to lift his hand to clasp her arm, she drew back and shook her head, a denial. His lips set in a thin line. “That a command, Mistress?” he asked tonelessly.
“Take it however you want.”
He curled his fingers around the edge of the table, body leaning forward, eyes suddenly cold and hard. “It wouldn’t matter, anyway, since you don’t really like me.”
“No. I don’t,” she responded frankly. “But I care about you. That doesn’t require that I like you.”

Holy crap!!!! This may well be my favorite book of the series!! I know, I know, I say that a lot ha, ha, ha!!!
Sebastian and Jade are hot and sweet all rolled into one book.
Sebastian Creed is the owner of Creed Securities, ex-military, and a inked up sexy beast of a man!!!
Dr. Jade Cross is Fenrir’s lycan researcher of all things witch. Jade is a super smart, super sweet, and super repressed lycan. After hearing of how she grew up I understand why.
We start with a retailing of Jade’s rescue, that happened in book 4, but from Sebastian’s POV.
Sebastian is drawn to Jade from the start, but he doesn’t understand why. LOL, Jade has met him twice but has no memory of it being drugged the first time, when he rescued her, and drunk of her ass the second time.
Watching Jade interact with her BF Lara and Meredith is so funny, especially when she decides it’s time to get her V-card punched and Sebastian keeps showing up on her dates and as Montgomery says “clam jamming” her.
When they decide to stop fighting the inevitable Jade and Sebastian are wonderful together. I love how she just lets him and his mother lean on her when his dad dies, it’s what you do for the one you love.
OMG and Sebastian’s little secret that even he knows nothing about?!! So mind blowing!!!
I hope like heck, the mages finally get what’s coming to them in the next book so our Fated Mates will be safe.
Oh, and I’m sure that I will say after reading that one that it is my favorite of the series!!! LOL!!!

Yay!!! Marcus, the middle of the hot Foster Brothers, finally gets his book!!!
I have been waiting for Marcus to get his story since Garrett’s book, there was something about him that caught my attention.
Roxy Patel is a human that has been under the Alpha’s protection since he brought her home after getting her away from her abusive husband. For two years Roxy has not left town, ordering everything she needs online, for fear of her husband finding her. Being still legally married to that evil man kills her and keeps her from the man that truly attracts her.
Marcus knew as soon as he saw Roxy that she belonged to him, she was his heart, his mate. Knowing that she too scared to leave town and still married to that a**wipe, well let’s just say it’s taking everything he has to not taking it into his own hands.
Roxy, is a woman that is coming into her own and she is a firecracker!! I love how she handles the jealous be-atches when they spew nastiness because a Foster chose someone other than them.
I love how Marcus loves Roxy not only for the woman she is outwardly, but also for the woman he know she is on the inside too. To me that is even more attractive on a man than good looks, though that helps too!!
The way he listens to the things that she likes and wants even before they are together is swoon worthy.
Roxy’s BFF Clare is a hoot, looking up divorce laws on google, helping her pick the perfect going out outfit, and helping her kick butt. I hope we see more of her. It’s great when you find a friend that will have your back like that.
There is new wolves, weird pregnancy craving that make me crack up, danger when the past comes a calling, and lets not forget be-atches and abusive husbands.

She was left the house by the woman that recused her as a small child. She can still feel her spirit in the house and has used her memory of Mrs. Foster to help bring people into the house since she had it converted to a B&B.
Greg Buchanan is a architect from Minneapolis, who believes that Tillie is a charlatan and is exploiting his grandmother’s memory by telling people that she is haunting the house. He vows to prove that she is lying while also proving that the things written in her journals about Jesse James are true.
I love reading a book that has places that I’ve been to before, seeing them from someone else’s perspective makes them new again. Growing up one county over from the places in the book makes me so happy!!
Tillie is a perfect example of a woman who just wants to live her life as simple as she can and bring joy to the people who come into her life through her B&B. She’s such a sweet and warm person, but really doesn’t like when she has to let others do for her.
Greg comes to the B&B believing that she is a bad person and learns that she really isn’t and learns to open his heart too.
The addition of Greg’s young son in the story is wonderful and brings out so much more from both of these characters.
We also see the spirits of Mrs. Foster and Jesse James himself in the story. The transition between the scenes of living and the spirits is seamlessly written and does not make the story start and stop. These two spirits trying to bring these lonely hearts together is so sweet and the story behind why they want these two together fits the story perfectly.
Masters writing in these story is so much softer, but it does not take away from her storytelling ability it enhances it!! I love this new direction and can’t wait for the next book, new spirits, new characters and a new Kentucky County.

I love the start of a new series by a favorite author and Shayla Black did not disappoint here.
We are sent to the lovely tropical paradise of the Hawaiian Island of Maui with Maxon Reed and Kelley Kent.
Maxon is a high powered real estate mogul, number one on the island, and deals with million dollar listings. He also happens to be a workaholic who is always looking out for himself, if that happens to make him a jerk so be it.
Kelley is a sassy older college student and holds down various other jobs, one of them a singer at a bar.
Maxon has learned that he has to compete with another agent to get this new multimillion dollar listing. The problem is the other agent is his younger brother Griff whom he hasn’t spoken to in three years due to a series of errors on both their parts.
Enter Kelley, the perfect distraction for Griff to drop the ball on the listing. He just has to get her to agree to be the distraction and not get distracted himself, when she shows him what he has been missing out on while being a workaholic.
Kelley is so vivacious and zen I love her!! The only thing she really wants in life is to be happy and that is a awesome thing to me. Not money, not some high powered job, just happiness something that Maxon is sorely needing, for someone who seems to have it all he has no idea what he has.
I go between wanting to smack him and feeling sorry for him. He knows nothing of love only revenge and being number one, that is the way the was raised.
He fights so hard to not fall for Kelley while getting her prepared for Griff, when the time comes to choose between her and getting the listing he does something utterly stupid.
I love the way that things come to head, its great and it came outta left field for me!! I adore getting surprised in a book and Kelley surprised the heck outta me. Music is a big part of this book and the songs that Black uses fit so well that I find myself humming them throughout the book.
The ending was perfect and finding out that Griff story was next was great. I loved Kelley and Maxon and cant wait to read Griff, I also hope to see more of their little sister.
