*Clapping* GAH!! I love the fact Monica takes classic literature and revamps it to modern times while also giving it her “spin”.
If you read Wuthering Heights, like I did, we all know how it turns out and I was like “Monica GUUUURL!! You can’t do that to me!!” Trust me people the anxiety I felt made me worry!!
Health and Cathy are brother and sister by adoption. The love they felt at an early age was not a true brother and sister love. *wink wink* The beginning 3 chapters explains a lot about them and their youth plus sets the stage for this novel.
Heath and Cathy are two such stubborn idiots. They both want the other, but PRIDE is to blame for their separation. They both are so proud of the other and what they have accomplished and feel they are less then deserving for the other.
When a family situation brings them back together the fire between them cannot be contained anymore. Of course, we have some twists and turns plaguing the couple at every turn.
The last few chapters I was in high stress….life Defo Con 5 Mode people. The tears were threatening to fall with each page I turned. GAH!!! If you are a fan of classic lit then you need to take the time to read because you will not be disappointed.
