I received this book from the author for an honest review.

WHAT AN EPIC DB Tyler is!!  OMG!! I mean we get a picture of that when we see him and Morgan getting cozy in New York.  We also see a glimmer when we see him walk away from a chick at the park knowing she means something to him but when we see his story unravel….I couldn’t kick him in the privates enough!!!

I get that he was devastated by Mia leaving him BUT WOW!!  Epic JACKA$$!!  He decided that no one will ever hurt him again.  He starts hitting the sheets with any warm, available body that agrees to no strings.  UNFORTUNATELY He meets a woman who doesn’t agree to his terms and that will cause major problems for him later.

Mia wanted to be a dancer and she leaves the love of her life to pursue her dream.  She never gave Tyler a chance to try and make it work..she just walked out.  She is now back in the area and looking to make things right and maybe be friends….yeah uhm not gonna happen Mia.  Tyler makes sure to wear his super DB suit whenever he knows he will see her.

Life changing drama happens and they are both thrown back to Cherryvile.  Tyler and Mia both want to be with the other but fear, hurt and the unknown keeps them at odds.  The fight to be together is a long fought one and JUST when we think our couple has found their way back to one another…GAME CHANGERS!!!

Melinda's Review

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I am falling hard for the Cook brothers each one seems to be better. I loved Taylor but Tyler is giving him a run for his money.  I also enjoyed Mia’s spirit and determination.

Tyler was the playboy and moving up in the corporate world.  He had his one love and she broke him when she decided to follow her dreams and leave him behind.  He would never give his heart away again only of relationship he was involved in was a no strings attached one. He even got involved with someone he knew was off limits but couldn’t say no to.  That is until he found out his only one love was back in town.

Mia had the lead in the Nutcracker; she finally made her dreams come true. Except she was still missing something, Tyler she regretted leaving him and seeing him again brought it all back. She started to let her walls down and let him back in. Now that they reconnected could things were. Both had grown up and taken different paths. Could Mia deal with Tyler and his past mistakes or would it be their demise.

Watching Tyler and Mia get a second chance at love was heartwarming.  Loved watching the time they were able to spend together while in Cherryville. The Epilogue was the best I enjoyed seeing how things played out and ended up for the best.  I also enjoyed seeing how Taylor, Morgan and their family were doing.  Watching Garrett and Mia’s bother/sister relationship was amazing to know that no matter what was going on Garrett was always there for Mia either pushing her to do her best or giving her advice when she needed it. These boys get better and better with each book and I cannot wait for Trevor and Sharron’s story.

“I felt every thing that Tyler and Mia felt. Every up and down, every smile, every tear, every laugh and every anger. This book literally ripped my heart out, put it in a heavy duty blender on high and then pieced it back together again. I love second chance books and this one just moved to the top of that list.” ~Tabitha (Amazeballs Book Reviews)

Synopsis:

Dylan
Bea Zanders’s interest penetrated me.
I tried to ignore her unwavering eyes and lasting touches.
But my willpower failed me.
Our one-night affair was mutual.
No expectations, no exchanging of phone numbers, nothing.
The next morning, she sauntered out of my life as fast as
she had entered it.
Bea
I claimed Dylan McCain as soon as I saw him.
His disheveled dark hair and tattooed arms screamed bad boy.
Finally, I won, and he claimed me in return.
But in the light of day, he changed.
His smile further dented those dreamy dimples.
His panicked green eyes held layers of kindness.
Making sure the rules were clear, I walked away, showing him
how little relationships meant to me.
Now, two months later, we come face-to-face again—as
coworkers.

angies review
I received this book from the author for an honest opinion.

*Dreamy Sigh* I just love me a nerd covered in Tats……Dylan always made me kinda give him an extra long stare when I was reading the other 2 books. The nerdy quiet McCain boy who had glasses and works on model cars made me wonder what he was “really like”. Well imagine my surprise to find out he is my future book boyfriend!!!!  Sorry I read this first so I have staked my claim!! *hand over Michelle’s mouth when she tells me to share him*Ladies I don’t share!!!

Dylan has had his heart stomped on.  It seems his ex didn’t appreciate the nice guy and romantic in him.  She wanted a guy to be unappreciative of all she had to offer…. SMH, Classic wanting to tame the bad boy….Doesn’t she know they are bad for a reason?? Oh well her loss!!   Well Dylan decided to NOT be the good boy but a jerk….WELLL If he can follow through with it anyway!!

Bea will not fall for love every again.  Anytime she believes in someone, they hurt her or stomp on her heart.  Nope love ‘em and leave ‘em is her style.  When she meets Dylan she is climbing him like a monkey to a tree.  Dylan was a bit freaked out with this but he was ok with it too…..what guy wouldn’t be???

The two start a friends with benefits relationship but have to keep it on the DL since they work together…oh yeah that was awkward as heck when your booty call is becoming your work mate and possible future boss!!

As Dylan tried to deny it, he is falling for Bea and her sass.  As much as Bea tried to push him away, she cannot be without Dylan.  When life gets in the way and Bea has to deal with her family and her past, Dylan is her rock.  Dylan’s good guy is winning her over one kiss at a time…..Sigh…….

I will say there were times when I was ready to throat punch Bea because WHY is she acting this way towards Dylan and his offers of love and hope.  *Sob* be ready for her story….as she slowly unfolds it you will understand and see why she is so slow to trust and put hope in anyone that could hurt her.

Melinda's Review

I received a copy of the book for an honest review.

I have been waiting for Bea and Dylan’s story since Love Rekindled. As much grief as Bea gave Brad and her spunk I knew this on would not disappoint and boy oh boy was I right. I loved Dylan’s caring side and Bea was spunky and sassy.

Dylan was getting over an ex that stated he was too much of a nice guy and she needed a bad boy. He was the nice guy on the inside but on his exterior said tattooed bad boy. Dylan was the brother of the Olympic Swimmer Tanner McCain.  Bea was the best friend of Tanner McCain’s girl Piper Ashby.  This put both of them at the wedding of Brad Ashby which gave Bea the perfect opportunity to get Dylan where she wanted him…her bed. All was good one night stand and walk away the next day until a few months later they were now co-workers.

Bea was all for having a good time no stirrings attached, relationships were not her thing. Bea didn’t have the best of times growing up she had mommy and daddy issues. Between seeing her dealing with her mom issues and dealing with the stuck up family of her father was heartbreaking. Bea learned to only rely on herself because everyone always let her down.

Watching these two fight their feeling s seeing Dylan deny that he wanted Bea and watching Bea push Dylan away any chance she could I wanted to shake both of them at times. They were like magnets that were pulled together and then spin around and repel. Loved that Dylan went back to his nice guy and was there when Bea needed him and it was great to see a little Alpha peek out at times when he was trying to protect Bea. Both their stories were sad but seeing what Bea went through and to come out standing strong on her own was amazing. Both Dylan and Bea had trust issues they had to overcome but seeing them work through things and watching Dylan be there for Bea through it all was great. I absolutely loved the epilogue but then again I am a sucker for a great epilogue.

EXCERPT:

My coworkers’ hands slow down until the clapping eventually
dies.
“So, I’m excited to announce that Deacon Advertising has
landed a top-notch graduate of NYU. After a fighting war, we won out.”
I inch up on my tiptoes to see the mystery million-dollar
man, but to no avail. Big Vic from the mailroom is blocking any view I might have of the man standing next to Tim.
“Oh my dreams, he’s come to life,” Kevin says next to me.
I crane my neck desperate to catch a glimpse.
“He’s good-looking?” I whisper, still dodging my head in
each direction to catch a glimpse. I’ve never been patient when I’m the one in the dark.
“That’s an understatement. This man could not shower for a
week and have spinach stuck in each one of his teeth, and I’d still melt at the sight of those dimples.”
With the one word dimples, my stomach flips as I think about Dylan. He thought he was skating the issue the next morning when he said he had to go. Asking me to climb down the trellis
of his parents’ house was new for me, but I understood. If my mom had been on the other side of the bedroom door, I’d have pushed him out the window. At least he met me down the street and drove me back to the bar to retrieve my car. He was sweet and kind to think my feelings would be hurt once I realized I was a booty call. Hell, he was my booty call.
“Deaconators, please put those hands together and welcome
Dylan McCain.”
“Even the name.” Kevin shakes his head, probably already naming their kids.
“What?” I screech.
A few heads turn toward me.
I inch back to Kevin’s side, taking refuge in a friend. “It
can’t be.”
Then, as if I asked for it, he switches spots with Tim, and
he’s standing there with those mouth-watering dimples on high alert. Through a liver of space between Big Vic from the mailroom and Ben from design, he’s clearly visible. And I can’t take my eyes off him.
A high-end tailored suit contours his broad shoulders, buttoned down past his taut waist. No tie but a nice, crisp gray shirt lies
under his jacket with the top button undone. His hair is freshly cut, and the small waves are now gelled into a style that doesn’t suit him as well as the messy morning look.
As if he can spot me in the crowd of one hundred, our eyes
catch, and my throat dries. For the first time in my life, I’m speechless. My body warms, and I don’t know if it’s because of the intimate things I shared with him that night or the fact that, besides Piper, he’s the first one in so long who seems to care for me.
“Hello, Deaconators.” He laughs. “Surely, we can find a
better name than that, Tim.” He clasps Tim on the shoulder and winks.
The room uproars into laughter, and I can’t stop the smile
sneaking across my lips.
“I’m happy to be here. I’m originally from the Detroit area.
I grew up forty minutes outside of the city. I did my internship at AdSec in New York, but I wanted to come back home to my roots. So, here I am.”
He does a bow just like Tim, and I know he’s already mimicking his new boss. Dylan has a dry sense of humor, much like my own. He
adds on a little wave of his hand in front of him, and suddenly, I wish we were back in the eighteen hundreds, and he was asking for my hand at a dance.
No, you don’t. Stop that line of thinking, I scold myself.
The room claps again, and Dylan stands there, absorbing the
attention. He’s the glory boy, huh?
“You okay?” Kevin asks as everyone funnels out of the room.
“Yes, why?” I toss my own coffee in the trash can in the
corner, not needing anything to further warm my veins.
“You look a little flushed, that’s all.” He laughs and
brushes by Big Vic to make his exit. “See you at lunch,” he singsongs, leaving me behind. Thinking twice, he turns, his feet continuing to move with the line of traffic. He raises his cup in the air. “Thanks for the coffee, Bea Zanders. Tomorrow’s on me.”
He smiles, and I glance over to Dylan. He’s shaking hands
with a line of women currently attempting to dig up his credentials. Married, engaged, or single?
Those green hues sparkle to me like emeralds in a jewelry
store, and I hold his gaze. I’m surprised he doesn’t seem as shocked as I am, but instead more curious. Then, a slow smirk crosses his lips, and he turns to the woman touching his bicep. He shakes her hand, and before the next desperate woman can slide into her spot, he breaks free. Zigzagging between the throng of
people, he lightly acknowledges the pats on his back, congratulations, and good-to-meet-you’s, but his eyes are focused solely on mine.
My body buzzes with alarm, feasting on his eyes bearing
happiness. Once he finally breaks free, his fingers slide down my arm, capturing my hand, and he veers us away from the stampede.

SYNOPSIS:

The equations are simple.

Piper Ashby + Brad Ashby = Twin Siblings
Brad Ashby + Tanner McCain = Best Friends
Piper Ashby + Tanner McCain = Off limits

Tanner and I abided by the rules. We stayed on our designated sides of the relationship circle.

Ignoring swarming butterflies.
Brushing off skipped heartbeats.
Settling on lingering stares.

Here’s the secret … a hand extended over that invisible line once, exponentially changing the equation. I was convinced we could make our relationship work until Tanner broke the trust he embedded in me from the age of seven.

One deceit of mega proportions and the relationship we built for that short month vanished. I swore never to speak to him again and it’s worked. Until now—two years later, when my brother’s wedding places me face-to-face with the best man—Tanner McCain.

Leaving one equation to be solved. Can love surface twice?

SYNOPSIS:

Taylor Delaney is the love of my life.
She’s also the one I’ve hurt the most.
Two years ago, I made a disastrous mistake.
One I’m not sure I can make amends from.
But I have to try, because I’m nothing without her.

Brad Ashby’s here, in my hometown, asking for a second chance.
All those unresolved feelings for him have resurfaced.
Not that they ever went away.
I know I should run him out of the town, but I can’t.
He needs to know that I wasn’t the only one who was deceived.

Even if we gave our relationship another try, how can we rebuild what’s been destroyed? If we weren’t strong enough then, what makes us strong enough now?

I received this book for an honest review.
LOL LOL LOL Seriously Stevie writes totally hilarious and wrong or super dark and wrong. Either way I will be laughing because she is insane…like legit insane I think……
SO this book I had to get my clammy hands on because seriously a porn star who is your ex and you are the new set fluffer? Ok, my bad Personal Assistant to the director…..glorified fluffer people!!
Jemma and Tyler were best friends who turned to love in high school. Tyler crushed Jemma when he left to go to law school and Jemma never really got over that hurt.
5 years later Jemma in an internet success when the video of her and her ex-boyfriend, rock star god Stone from Pandemic Sorrow is seen all over the world. She loses her job as the Disney Elsa and is forced to work for a porn studio. The day before her first day at work, she goes out to celebrate her new job when she finds him…TYLER and falls back in to his bed before running away the next day.
When she is at work and sees him strolling in, they both freak. Tyler has to “work” while Jemma holds the lighting…AKWARD and soooo damn funny!! I mean when he has “anxiety” to perform his duties and she hands him a little blue pill….serious I spit my soda all over my kindle!!! AGAIN AKWARD!!!
This book is Tyler making sure that Jemma doesn’t forget who they are and how they belong together. She is dealing with him and his “career” choice while he is trying to prove to her that she is THE ONE STILL after all these years and alllllllll these ladies!! But no dudes…..no dudes ever……LOL
Yes Tyler AKA Johhny Depth is a porn star but dang it did he make me swoon at times…..The two have this love to hate you vibe but Tyler will not give up on his girl. He does so much that made my little black heart unthaw just a little because I really wanted to see the ex-Disney Princess fall head over heels for the Porn star sensation!!

Melinda's Review

I received a copy of the book for an honest review.

I have enjoyed River Savages MC books and was excited to read this one. I like when authors change genre to see how they change things up. River Savage has a way with writing sassy females and hot alpha males and this was no different.

Ask me what I know about Hetch…

  • Hetch is the leader of his SWAT team
  • Is dedicated to his job
  • Hangs out at The Elephant with his team
  • If you ask his neighbor he has a new woman every night
  • He does not do relationships

Ask me what I know about Liberty…

  • She is dedicated to keeping the boys at Boys Haven on the right track
  • She has given up men
  • Is on a self appointed sex sabbatical
  • Is sassy and doesn’t hold back or back down when confronted

I was laughing so hard when Hetch was listening to Liberty through the shared wall of their apartments. Then things got even better when they had a showdown over Hetch attempting to buy Liberty a drink one night at The Elephant. The moment Liberty put two and two together to realize exactly who Hetch was…PRICE LESS.  I loved seeing Hetch take care of Liberty and cried when Liberty wouldn’t leave Hetch’s side. The scene with Liberty and Fox absolutely tore my heart apart. There were ups and downs I was laughing on minute, crying the next, trying to figure out what just happened and how were things going to play out gutted me. I loved watching Hetch bond with Mitch one of the boys from Boys Haven. To watch Hetch deal with all he had to in the past was heart wrenching. Loved the fact that Hetch thought he was helping and protecting Liberty when it was Liberty who was helping to save Hetch when he couldn’t even see what was happening right in front of his eyes. But the question is will their jobs tear them apart and can they survive? Needless to say I cannot wait for more of this series, I’m anxious to read Fox’s story next.

Excerpt

They say moments of clarity hit you hard. Like suddenly a deep understanding smacks you in the face. Your vision becomes unclouded, and a truth that’s been out of your reach rushes at you. It’s in that second your perception of reality becomes so clear you can’t begin to describe it.

Some call it beautiful, some say it can be saddening, some even compare it to the moment your drug of choice washes over you, offering a moment of escape.

I wish I could I say my moment of clarity is an epiphany or some kind of life-defining moment that showed me where my messed-up life is going.

No, my moment hits me as the first wave of the orgasm I’ve been chasing the last few minutes washes over me.

“Fuck, woman, wait for me this time.” His voice pulls me from my haze first, reminding me how messed up I am.

Heat covers my body, not from the life-altering orgasm, but from embarrassment.

Without thinking rationally, I throw my vibrator to the floor and freeze, afraid to move, as a low moan pauses on my lips. The thump of my beating heart, almost syncing in perfect rhythm to the throb drumming between my legs.

Jesus, please tell me he didn’t hear me.

“Don’t go shy on me now, babe.” He half chuckles, half growls, and even though there is a wall between us, the words wash over me; Goose bumps prickle my skin as if his warm breath whispered over me.

Shit.

Shit.

Shit.

Slowly, as if by some freak of nature, apartment nine can see me through the wall, I roll off the bed and find myself on all fours.

Really, Liberty?

Fully committed to my actions, I slowly army crawl my way to the nearest exit.

A strong tap on the wall halts my escape followed by, “You still there?” Another wave of humiliation crashes over me when I take stock of my predicament.

If I don’t get out of here fast, I’ll be drowning in so much embarrassment, nothing will resuscitate me.

Unable to form a coherent thought, and not willing to engage with the pervert, I continue to low crawl my way out of my bedroom and into my bathroom. Closing the door, I stand, and quickly walk to the shower. After turning the faucet on, I strip the rest of my clothes off, then step under the spray of the water.

Jesus, that was close.

I have no idea what I was thinking. In fact, I know I wasn’t. Which scares me even more.

I, Liberty Jenson, would never take risks like this. If asked what prompted this change in me, I’d answer with two things.

Apartment nine.

And a self-appointed sex sabbatical.

It all started when I moved into my new apartment. At first, I was excited, ready for a fresh start. After a messy break-up, which included dealing with a douche ex who didn’t know how to keep his dick in his pants, I needed a new place. Somewhere closer to town this time, secure, and most importantly, affordable. However, finding a place close to the city, which was secure enough to make me feel safe and would still leave me enough money left over from my program director’s wage, proved to be a feat. After searching for five weeks, I was about to give up, accept defeat and move in with my mom and dad again. I mean it wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to a single thirty-year-old woman.

Right?

Luckily for me, I didn’t have to resort to such desperate measures when this place came up two weeks ago. After a quick walk through, I fell in love with the two bedrooms, one bath, and open kitchen living area. I filled out the paperwork, paid my deposit, a month’s rent in advance, and moved in five days later.

Everything seemed perfect.

That was until I realized how paper-thin the walls were between apartments.

It started out subtle, a sneeze in the early evening on my first night here as I settled into bed. A soft murmur of a man’s voice the third night.

But then came the sex.

The hot, wild, filthy sex.

The fourth night in my new apartment, I was woken to the low moans of what I assumed to be a needy woman.

My face heats up remembering the screams, the grunts. The deep baritone of apartment nine’s voice as he told the ‘bitch’ to keep it quiet.

Unsure what to do, I laid silent, listening to my new neighbor fuck some lucky woman into submission.

I’m not going to lie; I wasn’t turned on by it. I was set alight.

I never thought I would be that kind of person, the kind who got off from listening in on someone get off, but something in the way he spoke to her, something in the way he spoke to all the other women since, stirred a new want in me. Soon I found myself seeking out my room for a chance to hear him.

It was wrong.

So wrong.

But it didn’t stop me from wanting it.

The screams.

The deep grunts of pleasure.

I wanted it all.

I wanted it to be me.

“I’m officially going to hell.” I groan under the water, trying to wash the stupidity off me. Stupid would be the nice way of calling me a fucking idiot. And an idiot is what I am. Especially after tonight.

Anything for Her by Katherine Rhodes

Blurb:
Completely naked.

Austin Pepperdine took an instant shine to the pretty little maid who busted in on his nap. Temporarily taking over security at The Club for his ex-military buddy, he was exhausted most nights and often crashed in one of the empty rooms.

Which was how he wound up naked and pointing a gun at Dana.

Dana Dellaney had just been trying to do her job–and pulling the gun on her was a bit over the top. Granted, she may have overreacted as well, screaming bloody murder, but once Austin covered his shame (his rather impressive shame), she realized he meant no harm. The attraction was instant, and in a place like The Club, it was only time until they were both in that bed, naked.

Austin wasn’t the man she had started out looking for. But, with his kind disposition, disarming good looks and his witty intelligence, Austin might be the best thing for her and Lola.

After all, she was completely done with Ryan Dellaney.
Problem was–no one was sure that Ryan was done with his ex-wife.

Sweet Agony (Ex Ops #3, Sweet #1)

synopsis

Beware of falling in love with the boy across the street.

Disappearing from their dangerous life in Chicago, Ginny and her mother went from riches to rags by way of a new life in the sleepy, rural suburbs of New York. Under the illusion of safety, Ginny blossomed into a beautiful young woman with hopes and dreams for a future her mother was determined she would have.

Lucas Young, her best friend’s oldest brother, was the dashing hero in all of her dreams. The man she fantasized about sweeping her off her feet and giving her the happily ever after she had only heard about in her mother’s fairytales.

Sometimes, reality wasn’t what we wanted it to be, though.

What would happen when Ginny found out Lucas wasn’t her Prince Charming after all? Instead, he was a rough and tumble soldier in extremely tarnished armor who had a propensity to break her heart.

Maybe happily ever after wasn’t meant for everyone.

Warning: This is the first book in a three-part serial spin-off from the Ex Ops Series. Each of the three books will feature a piece of Lucas & Ginny’s story and leads directly into the next installment. IN OTHER WORDS, THIS STORY ENDS ON A CLIFFHANGER. Also, be forewarned this story will make you laugh, cry, and possibly throw your e-reader at the wall. 😉

angies review

I received this book for an honest review.

So I am going to start this by saying when Jessie told me she was writing Lucas and Ginny’s story I wanted to throat punch her BECAUSE my baby daddy Dec needs to tell his story.   So as Jessie was writing I was consoling Dec that he will get his story told soon.  Then Jessie says it three books….well there wasn’t enough alcohol in the world for that stunner.  So me and my future baby daddy drank our tears away……..So when I opened Lucas and Ginny’s book I was ready to kick butt and take names for these two to get their crap together…then Jessie shocked the heck outta me by writing a SWEET LOVE STORY!!  WHAT!!  Who is this woman and what happened to my blow torch torturing woman?  When did she get a soft side?  Did someone change her medication??

Ok Lucas is Mr. Brooding.  He has his heart locked up tight and only one woman will be able to control it.  He has kept his sweet Ginny at triple arms length away for as long as he can remember.  First it was gross this little girl liked him THAT way and then it was because he LIKED her that way and she was jail bait.

Ginny looked to Lucas as her knight in shining armor.  He protected her and cared for her which confused the heck out of her.  He was so back and forth about his emotions that Ginny often thought she made up the soft side of Mr. Young when in fact she hadn’t.

Book one of this story is super SWEET and angsty.  We are reading how the puppy love turned real life love for Lucas and Ginny.  We find out what happened to make them fall apart and her build giant castle sized walls so that NO Knight can climb them and bring her hurt like Lucas did.

We find out why Ginny and her mom were hiding and the monster that finds them……and after looking for lost people for 16 years…….lets just say Daddy isn’t happy at all!!

Book 2 is going to be awesome just by the way book 2 ended…….

Synopsis:
