OH THEO!!!  YES!!  I was so ready for you after the first book!!  He is totally my Mr. Darcy with his manners and polite charm….sigh right ladies!!!

Bonnie was a great character who has been through some hard times.  When your DB fiancée won’t marry you and cheats on you instead…yeah broken hearted was Bonnie.  She won’t let it stop her.  We see her and Theo giving eyes and flirting like crazy in book 1.  I was so excited to see them as the next book because I need these people to get together already!!  Theo also has his own issues because he needs to marry a certain kind of woman to please the family.  Being a Duke does have its perks and downfalls!!

This book was amazing!!  I enjoyed the first book and getting to know all the characters but this book because we KNEW everything it seemed to flow smoother.  Theo and Bonnie are such a great couple and I will definitely see myself rereading because their story was full of humor and sweetness.

I met this author at a book con. She told me all about her soon to be releases so when I saw them available, I grabbed them. I had no clue except she was absolutely friendly and kind to chat with.

Imagine my shock and delight when I see this book is about a hottie in a kilt….uhm YES PLEASE!!!

This story is super funny, sweet, and one that I am so happy to have grabbed of Netgalley. I will say since this is the first book in the series, there was a bit of “world” building getting to know the characters and all that jazz but stick with it because the story is great!!

This story is about Cassie and a couple friends who take a trip. All Cassie want is to have a wild one-night stand, but her box of condoms is still full……BOOO!! Cassie soon finds herself sidetracked with a certain kilt wearing hottie named Logan. Logan is all “full steam ahead” on helping her use as many condoms as possible before her trip is over. *Snicker*

Cassie is a bit of a serious chick. She so when Logan asks her to help him with some pranks she kinda flips out. Relax girl!! It’s all good!! LOL

I enjoyed the story so much and can’t wait to read the next book I the series.

I was given this book for an honest review by the author.

What a world!!  I love the paranormal worlds Valerie build’s in her stories.  Each series is different and unique with something that I think makes them stand out from others.  This series is no different.

Harper is a mess having dreams about tall dark drink of water plus all of a sudden she is healing people…uhm she is a human so what’s up with this new turn of events??  She had a terrible car accident but now she can heal herself and others….hrmmmm.  While taking a much-needed self-care weekend away to right her anxious mind she stumbles into someone hot as hell AND looks just like Mr. Dream Guy in a field.

Roman is stunned that some human has broken through the veil to his world.  How in the world has this happened and who sent her to his world?  Is she a threat?  Is she going to hurt his king? And DAYUM she is fine!!  Roman is struggling to keep his “beast” at bay.  (Remember when I said I loved how unique her series is…that story line is why….).  When Roman figures out WHO Harper is, he is so confused.  With his friend Storm AKA Harpers long lost cousin, they try to figure it out.

While Roman is struggling with his beast, Harper is struggling with finding out her dead dad isn’t so dead annnnnd he is kinda a dick…like major dick.  Harper is thrust into a new world with enemies, rules, sides, and gifts she needs to understand to fully navigate without losing her life, her mom’s life, or her mate’s life.

Seriously I loved Harper and Roman’s story!!!

Ok fraaaannz!!  I am a dark reader but I am a scaredy cat dark reader…meaning…if its super dark I hide and cry.  If its super dark, I freak outta my mind.  Ok so now you know what kinda whimp reader I am.  Lemme say, THIS BOOK I was totally rooting for the couple and not at all sad about what was happening.  LOL

Vic and Henry are totally in a bad spot and get caught stealing.  Now this is way way way back when Australia would send entire families to the jail if the parents were caught.  So Vic and Henry along with baby Lizzy are facing this jail time. The couple are bound and determined to last the 9 month journey and if they get separated, they will keep their heads down and noses clean.  Well that is a great plan IN THEORY, but Vic soon becomes the eye of Marine Officer Kent’s eye.

Matthew Kent is not a great guy….initially.  Yeah, he is forcing himself on Vic but soon they two do form a bond.  Now I know people will scream STOCKHOLM SYNDROM, but I don’t think so.  I think they really and truly grow to love each other.  Matthew has cared for Lizzy and Vic while also looking for her husband but coming up short.

They two must overcome a lot while on the journey to the prison’s new camp.  They wonder if they can make it ago and what will happen once they do arrive at the island.  Right when we think we know what will happen, Vivian throws a giant couple of twists and turns and I was like DAYUM GIRL!!  Why you gotta do me like this!!! LOL

Once they boat makes way to the mainland Vic has a lot of new things to navigate and new worries besides what she has been worrying about the entire journey.  I legit cannot even begin to discuss what happens on the island because HELLO SPOILERS are not my jam.  But if you like darker books and storied with crazy twists and turns with yummy anti-heros and sweet heros, then this is a book for you.

I want to start by saying I LOVED Claire’s narration.  I loved how she brought the characters to life.  A bad narrator can ruin a book but I loved what she did and how she helped the story come to life.

HOLY MOLY this book knocked my socks off!!!  Paranormal meets the Greek Gods??  Uhm YES PLEASE!!! When Tricia told me about this book, I was super excited.  When I finally got the book, I was ecstatic.  I can’t say enough how much I loved reading this book.  But remembering all the Gods from college, I was like “OMG Yes I remember them.”

Juliet is a typical vampire looking to score some blood.  Well our little vampire is a little more than usual because she actually cares about who she drains dry.  She strolls into the underground MMA fight looking for meal, when she sees the most beautiful and sexy man EVAH!!  She is all “Game on” with this one.  She knows he might be a bit more of a challenge, but she is ready for it.  She is stunned when all of a sudden, the man of hour is right there at the bar hitting on her …along with others things he does with her at the bar *snickers*

Ares, the God of War, is mesmerized by the vampire at the club.  He knows she will be able to “handle his appetites” so he dives into a night of fun with the little minx.  He is loving spending time with her because she challenges him at every turn and he loves it.  He can’t get enough of her telling HIM, the God of War, No!!  I love the banter the two have because they cracked me up a lot.

When Ares and Juliet discover there are serious emotions at play, they both freak.  The last person Ares loves was Aphrodite and we all know how wonderful their relationship turned out….not good if you weren’t aware.  The last person who Juliet loved broke her heart and turned her into the creature she is now.  Love and Trust is not something these two people can willingly accept from others.

His family hates her and wants her dead.  His ex has become a bit too clingy and needy…ya know I don’t want you but I don’t want anyone else to have you type of chick *eye roll*….her maker is all about claiming what is his again after hundreds of years, PLUS the vampire hunter is closing in on Juliet.  There is so much action and so many plot twists you never see what will happen next!!  I seriously hope we get another book really soon and I am BEGGING for it to be Aletha because I just loved her so hard but Pan would be pretty funny to see which nymph captures his heart.

I was given this audio book for an honest review by the author.

The narrator by Kat Maxwell is amazing.  I loved seeing her name on the book for narrator.  She does a great job voicing the characters.  She is one of my favorite narrators for audio books.

This book I have to admit I was not sure I would enjoy.  I am not a person who reads F/F and so I was like meeeehhhhh about it BUT I love Michel’s stories soooooooo…. I absolutely loved Sarah and Karen as a couple. I admit I can’t wait for book 4. Mandy and Ashton, after watching the sexual chemistry these two had for each other but that is for another day.

Sarah is the mom of the group.  She is the one who wears their heart on her sleeve.  She is the one who will do anything and everything for her Mafia Family, Lover, students and their families, and her family in general.  When Sarah’s hearts broken, we feel her desire to be with someone but at the same time she wont settle for anyone like Mandy.  She has lived her life out and does not understand why anyone would need to be in the closet. But not everyone has the amazing support system Sarah has.

Karen is the state representative who is living a double life.  She has her best friend Ashton as her “Beard” while she navigates a career as a politician….wait….as a conservative Republican politician.  When her campaign manager tells her she has a good chance to win a US Senate seat, She jumps.  The very last thing she expects is to meet the love of her life while manning a booth at a county fair.

Sarah and Karen have to navigate A LOT due to Karen’s Closet status and the fact she is a person in the public spotlight.  Seeing Karen want to be her true self all the while fearing the loss of her political career and family weighs heavily on her.  With Ashton’s steady hand plus Sarah’s loving guidance and understanding, they learn to navigate things together.

I admit I love where the book ended in the epilogue.  I hope that storyline continues in book 4.  I would love to know what happens to the campaign.  I also admit I am glad I did read the story.  The love between these ladies was wonderful.  Seeing the respect between the ladies was amazing.

When Aly asked if I would like to review her new “sweet holiday book”, I jumped.  Her books have that feel good vibe you get when reading.

The story is about Caroline who is stuck in the airport trying to get home to her dad in Iowa for Christmas.  She meets and chats with a kind and attractive man who hands her the phone and says “hey talk to my mom would ya.”…yup and that is how this whole story starts.

Colin told a small white lie to his family about bringing a non-existent girlfriend home for the holiday.  When he finds out Caroline’s story, he offers to help her if she helps him.  Upon entering his childhood home, he throws the final grenade at her…she is his liv- in girlfriend!!

Caroline is a trooper, but she enjoys the family time since she is an only child and being around Colin’s mom since she has lost her own mom helps to heal her heart.  There is insta-love but honestly this whole book is just a feel-good story.

We do have some conflict in the form of LAURA….Growl…not a fan of her at all but the end of the story was adorable and I can say I enjoyed reading it the night before Thanksgiving when the Holiday seasons officially kicks off.

But Ethan knows other things about Sloan too. And he will be the one to show her the way! This was a Great Story, well written and thought out by Dakota Trace. For a first step into a new genre, she did well!
