I was given the ebook from the author for an honest review.

I have been so excited to read this book!!!  EEEP!  I mean Aidyn who is also the Phoenix finally is going to claim his mate..ya know the one who flat out hates him and totally tried to kill him by stabbing him in the heart…yeah that chick!!

This story has a little bit of all our favorite characters.  We see Aidyn and Katie bonding to bring back the homelands.  We see Baal and Ranata helping Leria.  Seeing Marcus and Cassie made me so happy.  I mean everyone was there!!!

Aidyn knows claiming his mate is going to be no easy feat. He knows she hates him because he refused her a favor once when she was little.  The sting of that has never been forgotten even if she knows why.  Aidyn will do anything and everything to get her to open her heart to him and accept him like her dragon has.

Leria is so confused.  Her dragon is making her nuts wanting to be claimed by the Phoenix but her heart wont allow it.  She is broken over what Aidyn did and can’t forgive him.  When the story gets going, we see Leria trying to prove she can lead without a mate but at the same time not knowing what Aidyn is doing for her trust and love.

This story is a great addition to anyone who has been following the story.  I was loving it and couldn’t believe how fast I flew through the story.

I was so excited when AJ told people she was writing a paranormal.  I did not know it was witches until much later.  I admit witches are not my favorite of the paranormal universe, but I could not wait to jump in.  I wanted to see what AJ created.

Brandy is a witch that has no clue she is a witch.  Seems her family on both sides come from a long line of witches buuuut no one told her until right after her birthday.  When strange things start to happen and a tall dark drink of water helps save her from a tublar…aka low-level demon…she is thrust into this new world of shifters, witches, demons and more.

Ryan is sooo never going to mate because women are trouble.  He and his bestie Peter are going to hang out playing Xbox and enjoy being bachelors but then……he meets Brandy.  His world flips and he is not too happy about it….at first.

The story is interesting in that Brandy, Ryan and Peter are trying to figure out the who’s and why’s of what’s going on with Brandy and the people after her.  I will say the world building in the beginning made that story flow a bit slow.  BUT by about 45% I think the pace picked up and we are learning more about her family curse, her siblings plus the paranormal world in general.  I am so loving Peter and even Xander.  I seriously hope they get a book because Peter was the BEST Side character EVER!!!  Him and his relentless teasing of Ryan by calling Brandy Baby cakes cracked me up.

Ethan’s book will be interesting to see what else they learn about their blood line from the past plus seeing Serena again will be a fun read.

So glad I was able to read this paranormal. Brandy is strong, sassy and strong willed. All of which she needs to handle what was just tossed at her.

Brandy just turned 21 and her world just tilted on its axis. She lost her boyfriend and learned everything that went bump in the night was indeed real. Strange Things were happening around her and weirdos were coming out of the woodwork. Thank goodness for a stranger that came to her rescue.

Ryan was closed off never wanting a mate but when he saw Brandy he was a goner. I loved Ryan and his bff Peter. After Ryan helped brandy that night a whole new family opened up to her. She already had 6 older protective brothers but it seems she gained another in Ryan’s bff Peter.

Can A family secret or should I say curse tear these two apart before they even get to know each other better. I will take the strength of an entire family blood or not to take on this curse.

I am so intrigued by the guys in this book from all her brothers to Peter and Xander. I cannot wait to see where this series goes. Alpha Peter needs a mate.

What a wild ride! This is a fantastic start to what I believe will be an incredible series! There are a lot of moving parts to this story and they were meticulously woven together to create a wonderful story. Brandy is the baby of the family, and the only girl. You can only imagine how overprotective her brothers are, haha! Right from the beginning, her life goes down in a chaotic and crazy tailspin. She feels like she is falling apart. Crazy things are happening to her and are now following her. She can’t for the life of her figure out why things are literally floating all around her. Then a knowledge bomb is dropped on her by the sexy stranger, Ryan. Slowly the story unfolds revealing enormous secrets full of magic…the good and the bad. During the story, Brandy and Ryan form an inseparable bond that the two of them struggle with figuring out. Then there is Peter, Ryan’s best friend. Peter is that goofy, being sarcastic at all the wrong, but right, times friend that you will always want to have your back. (I hope there are good things in store for him in the next books!) There is a constant struggle going on that makes you really connect with the characters in some very realistic ways. Their journey brings them in contact with many paranormals from witches and demons to hellhounds and werewolves. The good, the bad, and the ugly. There is great world building, relatable and lovable characters, lots of emotions, and some serious sexy time. This book has it all! The story is an incredible journey and an absolute must read.

This is the 2nd book of The Survivor Duet.  I am going to say if you haven’t read book one you need to STOP and read it first.  Also I am going to try and keep this as spoiler free as possible because…..If you haven’t read book 1, I don’t want to ruin the plot twist of it.

Brooke wakes up in the hospital and is very confused.  Her doctor, Blake, and nurse, Donna, are both very attentive to her.  They are both trying to help her understand what she remembered and what she lived through in book one vs what is happening in book 2….see that is where the plot twists comes into play people!!

Brooke is married to DOUCHE BAG Warren when she finally makes a break for it after Warren is classic Warren.  With Donna’s help and a few ladies at Emily’s house, she leaves her past behind.  She and Dr. Blake seem to hit it off and with the encouragement, on both sides, by Donna they begin to see each other.

Dr. Blake is seriously Book Boy Friend Material.  He says and does the right things and supports Brooke while she is trying to figure out her own life.  Even though Blake’s brother, Cal, likes to rile his brother up in regard to his feelings for Brooke.  The way Blake is with Ava is heart stealing.  The way Blake understands and encourages Brooke is perfection.

I loved the dramatic ending and the epilogue makes all romance readers swoon.  I seriously hope Cal gets a book because he was a great scene stealer.

I was given this audio book from the author for an honest review.

I read this book when I first started blogging and 6 years later when the author offered an audio I jumped.

I enjoyed the narration of the story and the narrators voice was enjoyable to listen too.  Sometimes a bad narrator can make a book not so enjoyable.

I still enjoyed this story like I did 6 years ago.  I loved the theme of family and dreams plus wants and desires.

I am still not a huge YA reader, but the story of Libby and Peter did pull at me.  I will say the entire time I am reading of Peter and his brother being rock stars I kept seeing the Jonas Brothers in my mind.  LOL  The story has deep themes and Libby will just slay you with her sweet and innocent persona.

I don’t get much time to “reread” but I am so glad I grabbed this audio when offered.  I remembered loving this story and it hasn’t changed for me at all.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Friends from the day I started this series so many hears ago, I have dreaded and waited with bated breath for this book.  Dreaded because Nicki is such a bad ass chick but waited because, if you are a fan of the series, you know what happened in the last book and I am still not ok.  STILL. NOT. OK!!

So this book picked up with Nicki trying to figure out what happened to Sean and solve the case to finally put Cecil away for all the crimes he has committed all these years.  She still had Janice helping her and Jesse but when Travis offers to help…I was stunned.  They most definitely are not friends, but their mutual love of Sean brings them together.

So much stuff happens quickly in the beginning.  The story opener is one that leaves you on the edge of your seat.  It was a great beginning for sure.  I will say I felt a little lost since I haven’t reread the series so the names being thrown at me initially had me scratching my heard trying to remember who was who and why we didn’t like them a few books ago.  BUT once we get the low down on them, we are thrust into a story of suspicion, paranoia, mystery, and sadness.

Jesse is going to do anything to help his best friends’ memory and help Nicki to figure out this case.  Even with Nicki being tracked and even with Nicki being threatened, she will not back down which is what I love about her.

I will say I loved when everything starts to unravel, and all the secrets start to spill.  The final ending is one that left me so happy and I even told Jade I approve of the ending.  I was going to be sad if I had to drive to her house and punch her!!

I was given the ebook from the author for an honest review but I did purchase the audio book to listen too.

I am a sucker for a shifter series.  I also loved this authors dystopia book and so I politely begged for this book as well.  LOL  I will say I am very excited for a new to me series to continue to read.

The narration for this story was enjoyable.  Sometimes, you can get a narrator who you just don’t think fits the story, but Skylar Summers hit each voice perfectly.  I really enjoyed her Scottish accents.

Before I start the story review I will say there are times I felt the story did drag a bit BUT since this is the first book in the series, I chalked it up to world and character building.  The excessive details about random things would pull me out of the story at times but over all I still liked the story and am ready for book 2.

Killian finds a feral shifter who is being held in a human zoo/sanctuary when he goes to get her.  Right from the start he knows she is different but does not understand how or why.  We meet Catrina who has been through the biggest loss of her life and is scared.  She was hidden away while her parents were being killed and then ran…for 6 years in wolf form.

We see Killian, Jamie and the rest of the pack welcome Catrina and try to help her acclimate to the human world again.  We also see the chemistry between Killian and Cat.  Its very instant they have a drive to touch and see each other all the time.

We soon deal with pack jealousy over Killian’s obvious affections for Cat.  We see Cat making friends and forming family/pack bonds even if she denies it.  But Cat is looking for revenge against those who killed her parents.

We soon meet the “bad” people but don’t understand what is happening except we know they want Cat.  I will say as the story starts to unfold with who is looking for Cat, her past is opened up and we learn about her parents and life pre-murder, you cant help but feel sorry for her and all her loss.  However, seeing Killian stand and support her even if his wolf gets a smidge jealous made me giggle….oh Killian.

The end of the story was super interesting.  I liked the twist of what made Cat “special”.  I also look forward to Aiden and learning more about him. But first up is Jamie in book 2 and I feel like Mr. Playboy isn’t loving being single after all he says.

What in the Chicken of the Sea was I thinking to agree to this half arsed Otherworld Defense Agency mission?

I’m the most absurdly good looking Vampire Pirate of the High Seas. Being on the run for my life is very important work… and a freaking full time job. Defending Mermaids from some vicious Sea Hags is going to cut into my pilfering time.

Unacceptable.

Even though this is a very bad move on my part, I know I’ll eventually agree—too many bounties on my arse to refuse, and the thought of a certain Mermaid makes my roger quite jolly.

However, Tallulah, the leader of the Mystical Isle Pod of Mermaids, isn’t going to be happy to see me… at all. The horrible, sexy, breathtaking woman has been starring in my dreams for too many years to count. Sadly, just when my mind wanders to the really good nookie part, the dream ends with her lopping my Johnson off.

I just hope to Hell and back that the Sea Hags have some outstanding booty to steal. If I’m going to have to regrow my tallywhacker, the treasure had better damned well be worth it.

Running a tourist trap for humans in the Bermuda Triangle had sounded like a fine plan—until it wasn’t. With the Sea Hags gunning for our island and ruining our questionably successful business, I did what any desperate Mermaid would do. I called for backup.

Of course, getting help from the Otherworld Defense Agency is risky as they don’t usually deal with ocean creatures. Whatever. Desperate times call for crappy measures. Chances are they’ll send freaking Pirates. I hate Pirates…

Well, I hate one Pirate in particular.

Hopefully, it won’t be the one seafaring jackhole I despise more than any other. Pirate Doug would be an idiot to show his face here after what he’d done. Not only did the dumbass abscond with our treasure, the son-of-a-bitch took my heart with him as well.

I’ll tear his sorry ass to shreds if he so much as steps even one hairy toe on my island.

I purchased this audio book.

I queued up my audio books and I HAD NOTHING!!  *GASP*  I started scrolling through a list of attending authors from Writers on the River Author Event.  It’s been AGES since I read anything from Robyn annnd  I remember them being hysterical.  The audio price was $2 and I grabbed it.  2 hours of laughs…yes please.

This book starts with Pirate Doug.  His accent and stupidity…hello word of the day incorrectly used…had me chuckling a lot.  Then to find out his has been assigned to help Tallulah and her mermaid friends from some Seahags.  Again, I cracked up.  When Doug…excuse me PIRATE Doug begins to tell his history with Tallulah……I knew this was just what I needed.  I mean she was going to cut ff his *Wink* Jolly Roger.  I can’t stop giggling as I type this.

The story is an absolute over the top, hysterical rescue of Tallulah and her friends.  Uhm Ariel might have been my favorite but whatever.  LOL  I seriously will be grabbing the other stories and listening when I just need some stupid funny in my day.

Robyn writes because the people inside her head won’t leave her alone until she gives them life on paper. Her addictions include shoes (the expensive kind), Coke with extra ice in a styrofoam cup, and bejeweled reading glasses.
A former professional actress, she now lives in the south with her family and too many animals to count. Writing gives her a chance to have a job where working in her P.J.’s is acceptable.

I bought this book and listened to the audio book.

This is a sweet insta love story about town bad boy Reese who comes home after a log absence to recoup after a bad fight.  He is stunned stupid to see the one women he cant seems to shake out of his system still looking as beautiful as he remembered.

Lilly has always had a crush on town bad boy Reese but knew he was not interested in her in any way.  When he comes back to town and starts kissing her ear, she is confused because how can the only person she ever loved be here in town and kissing her ear!!!

The love story is insta love in the fact it moves very quickly, and they are professing their love for one another.  They are trying to hide the relationship from her father who is the town preacher and does not approve.  Reese also worries about Lilly’s reputation in the small town if things get out about what they are doing in the evening *wink*

The couple have a few things to work out like is Reese leaving when he rehabs his injury, what happens when his MMA promoter comes back and what happens when a secret is soon spilled about Lilly!!

If you enjoy insta love stories you will enjoy this book.

I will saw this narration isn’t my favorite.  I almost wonder if I might have enjoyed the book more with me reading vs listening to his voice.
