I received this book from the author for an honest review.

So…I am not a big taboo reader but I gotta say…She got me.  She hooked me and I LOVED Rita and Nick’s naughty story.

I do not want to give away much of the story but to say two lonely people meet and have that instant connection.  A quickie in the bathroom did not diminish the need so a long night of continued sharing bodily fluids seems to be the start of something good for them.  When Nick comes to Rita’s the next day EVERYTHING CHANGES.

I felt dirty and I felt bad, but I also feel sad for these two people.  They finally find a connection and they can’t be together. Can you imagine thinking you found your other half to find out it can’t be? Granted the taboo is there but JM does make you feel for the characters and their loss of the other.

When I saw this book, I was curious for a couple of reasons. The first is I wanted to read a book from this author and jumping into series that are already out plus a few deep is hard to do. The other reason is HELLO SHIFTERS…..HELLO DRAGON SHIFTERS. To be honest, I have only read one other series about dragons. I loved the direction/spin she took with her series because it was very different from what I expected.
I will say the world building was slow and a time or two I was a little confused BUT stick with the story because after a while I couldn’t put the book down. I was dying to know about Raven and her dragon Gabriel. My favorite scene is when Gabriel admits how crazy he is for Raven…..this woman brought a powerful dragon to his knees…..sigh……..
The angst between the characters builds and it BURNS people…sooo burns!!! I was so ready, much like Raven, for when they did some “How you doing “ time *Wink wink* Their love story was very sweet and I enjoyed watching them fall for each other while also trying to protect the other.
The curse and the family fall out Gabriel has to over come was crazy intense. Poor guy has a crazy woman and crazy uncle after him!! I mean he can’t live anywhere without having threats to his life!
I am so looking forward to the next book and hanging with Gabriel and Raven again. I am sure Gabriel will be just as possessive over Raven with his brother which is hilarious BUT also trying to find their siblings will be good reads. I wonder how the family will react to the everything Gabriel has to warn them about in regards to their family!

Ok so there is no need to try and deny it. I am a shifter girl. I love paranormal and vampires are awesome but shifters….uhm…yeah…HAWT!!
So our girl Casey has had a hard life. She has bounced around and never had a home. She has one true friend, Jake, who cares for her now that she has aged outta the foster system. One night when Casey is going to visit him for some much-needed food, she gets a whiff of some strange men. Two of them scare her but one…well yeah…her gets her a little warm and fuzzy.
As Casey is dealing with some news about Mr. Tall Dark and Uberly Handsome, she is thrust into a crazy reality. She finds out that what she knows isn’t the truth and the truth is off the charts crazy!! Mr. Tall Dark and Handsome, Mack, is the Alpha’s son and he gets her girlie parts a tingling!!!
As her reality is starting to sink in, even more shifter reality is thrust in to her. She must pick a mate or her father who is not a nice man at all will come claim him for his pack. Good thing those girlie parts were already tingling and her shifter cat already claimed Mack as her mate.
The story line was different in what happens during the great war. The idea of co-mingling shifter species was also awesome. I haven’t read books with different shifters all living under one alpha before so I enjoyed a new spin on my favorite genre.

Mother to two boys, 3 four legged babies, and wife to a loving husband who doesn’t mind the extra voices in her head. Miranda grew up on a dairy farm in Illinois, but calls Portland, TN home now. She is an avid reader, coffee addict, and loves her day job working at the local public library. Though her true passion is in creating her own worlds, characters, and stories for her readers.

When Elissa asked if I would like to read her new steamy novel, I said sure thing.  Who can pass up steamy right???  I liked the premise of the story and the whole “mystery man” so I jumped in.

Our girl Tinley is a hot mess.  She is so worried that people don’t take her seriously because she is a woman, that she works herself to the bone.  When her sister is getting married and is having her bachelorette night, she forces Tinley to come.  She doesn’t tell her where they are going which is essentially a legal reverse brothel.  Instead of the ladies doing the servicing, it’s the men who are.  Needless to say, Tinley freaks.  When she meets her “escort” for the night she is a bit stunned at how good of a time they had and books another weekend with him.

Seeing Tinley realize she can be a woman, feminine annnnd formidable in the workplace was priceless.  Tinley reconnects with herself and soon embraces her sensual female side thanks to her time with Adam.  When the next weekend happens and we find out who Adam is really…..welllll, I think we all saw it coming .

Seeing Tinley deal with her feelings and emotions while making major life changes after her weekend was awesome.  We also see Tinley making Adam work for a chance at a future with her.  The couple have some serious issues because she is worried she can’t satisfy man who has been “hooking” up with multiple ladies or so she thinks.

I enjoyed the story and liked the ending scene.  It was really sweet but super funny as well.

When I was accepted into Illinois Summer School for the Arts in my Junior year of High School, I knew I wanted to become a writer. I graduated from Illinois State University in December 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and began my teaching career, hoping to find moments to write in my free time.

After seven years of teaching, I decided to focus on my writing and made the decision to put my teaching years behind me so that I could create the stories I had always dreamed of. Reid and Walker…so night and day yet so perfect for one another. Reid and Walker….so afraid yet so hopeful about the other.
I am not going to lie when I said Reid is a major turn off initially. He is spoiled and privileged but once you start to get to know him….you get him. The opening scenes with Reid, I was seriously about to punch him. I was telling Norma Not to be nice to him…LOL
Walker is a seasoned rancher and closed off to love. His heart is now all about the ranch and he hopes and prays that Reid will SEE the ranch for how wonderful it is. He hopes and dreams of continuing life on the ranch and then his dreams turn to sharing that with Reid…..Wink Wink.
Reid is so out and loud and accepting of his sexuality that I did laugh at this “rancher serious clothing shopping trip” and following fashion show. Walker is so serious, but Reid is the breath of fresh air he needs. Walker is also what Reid needs. Walker helps him find a purpose and ranching is that purpose.
The story was a great read. My favorite scene is when Reid discovers Walker is gay thanks to his rock hard erection…LOL I totally laughed at the fact Reid bragged about his gay-dar and yet he missed Walker.
The plot with the person casing issues on the ranch was a great read and I think this story is a great read for anyone who has not read AD before. You get an awesome story and a great look into her beautiful love story writing style.

Before I start this review, I am going to let you in on a little secret.  I am a paranormal whore.  I love love love paranormal AND shifters are like the icing on the cake for me.  So, if you write a paranormal and I read it, I will judge/rate harshly.  Its my favorite genre and its my go to read when I want something to read.  With all that stated up front, you gotta know what I am about to say is deep and true to my soul……I. Loved. This. Book!!  Like WTF!!  It blew me outta the damn water.  I will admit I was a bit skeptical about the whole Lady Goddess stuff at the beginning.  I wondered if I would dig it or if it would be something I found to be an OK read.  FRIENDS, this book rocked my world!!  Like legit, ROCKED ME HARD!!!!

I absolutely loved the world M. Jayne (Melanie) created.  I loved her mythology.  I loved her side characters and seriously I am hard crushing over Lore BUT I am also scared outta my mind at him.  Raider Black is our main character and he is so tough and bad ass but so tender when he wants to be but also please remember he is uber bad ass!!!  Theo is thrust into this NEW world.  She stumbles but runs into it with eyes wide open.  When she is given her new title in the Pack, she tried to be 100% the best she can be.   Her friends Solle and Conal are the best companions for her.  They are loyal to Black but guide her and help her understand the human world is not at all like the Pack’s world.

The story was so wonderfully written.  I seriously kept saying “one more chapter before bed” and then the next thing I knew it was 11PM and I and 10% of the book left!!  Might as well just read it and appreciate the reason for being grumpy the next day was because of the wonderful story telling.  I thought the flow of the story was amazing.  You were always wondering what would happen next.  I know the angst of the two main characters fighting their pull and draw to one another was amazing.  When they finally give in to one another it only made their bond THAT much stronger.  The character banter was hilarious, but the emotional draw of the characters made me so excited for this new series!

I received this audio book from the author for an honest review.

So I admit I am on the fence with my review for this book. I was flipping and flopping with what I felt because it’s a complex story a times and then other times I felt it was jumbly.

This is the story about a happily married couple, Cathy and Brett. They are attracted and in love but maybe they are realizing something is missing. Cathy noticed her husband is being secretive about his “Computer time” and she is finding some fulfillment flirting with her co-workers…a couple of guys specifically.

Where I have flip flopped about how I feel about the story is there seems, TO ME, to be some conflict in the story background. Brett is hyper jealous but yet the couple had talked about swinging in the past. Brett doesn’t trust Cathy with Jeremy and yet Jeremy is who they include???

Don’t get me wrong. The story is hawt and the scenes are sexy as hell but I just felt a little bit confused with the storyline at times.
