I received this book from the author but purchased the audio book.

Ok since I am reviewing the audio book I gotta say….HEEEY Rhenn’s narrator.  Holy Sweet Baby Jesus that voice.  Imma tell ya, you will be thanking me for that right off the bat.  I don’t want to know what the narrator really looks like because my mind has his picture juuuuuust right.  LOL  Now I see he does the voice for the other 2 books…….YES is all I can say.

So this is my first Lacey book….yeah yeah I know late to the party like always but ya know what can I say. I have only known her 5 years *Face Palm*

I gotta say I loved the dynamic of quiet and shy but sassy Marissa with Rhenn.  Rhenn is all playa playa who falls for the women who embodies his exact opposite type…ya know, she isn’t an easy whore.  LOL

Marissa is devastated by her family’s business/home fire and is lost because what will they do.  When her long lost family enters the picture, she gets connected to Rhenn who will be doing the family a favor and wiring the house for them.

When Rhenn shows up, he is stunned stupid at the beautiful women he sees but knows she isn’t “his type” and a quick roll won’t be something she is interested in.  When, after getting to know him, she proposes Friends with Benefits while he is in town….he flips out.

I loved seeing them fall but fear telling the other.  They both want more but she fears she isn’t good enough and he is ashamed of his past.  When the two weeks is up and they part, I was a little bit weepy and wanted to kick Rhenn in the balls.

The end of the story is perfect and totally swoon worthy.

I gotta say Emma and Orville KILLED ME in this story.  Marissa’s long-lost aunt and uncle were to inappropriately funny in this book.  I can’t wait for more of them in the rest of the books.  I am kinda giving brother Samuel a look over because I just know the right women or even man could make that anal-retentive ass crumble.  But first up is sexy diva Harper.  I can’t wait to see who tames this wild child!!

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little “spice” or hot guys in uniform pants, and I’m a happy woman. There’s just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

I am a historical LOVER!! I love the Ton. I love Regency. I love the corsets. I love the rules. I love the gossip. I love the sneaking away to steal a moment with your loved one. I. Just. Love. It!!
So this book didn’t disappoint me. I opened it and devoured it in no time. I was so drawn to the characters and their situations that placed the two of them together. I loved how open minded Kit was about a woman. He was raised by a strong woman and so he in turn wants a strong wife.

Grace has been the Lady of her family’s lands since her mother died at the young age of 15. She became the woman of the house raising her brother, taking care of the ground, the staff and her father. She wants to live her life her way and isn’t looking for a husband. They will pin her down and she loves her independence.

Grace and Kit meet when her cousin/bestie marries Kit’s twin brother. They hit it off but time was not right for them. He had to return to the military to fight Napoleon while she must continue to raise her brother.

When they meet back up the sparks pick up right where they were at the wedding. Neither are looking for an HEA. They just want to pass the time over the summer with a friendly face and some silly flirting. Little do they know, the silly fun turns serious very quickly. Then both are worried about how the other will react to the news the other is in love with them.

I loved the scene when Kit comes to see her at her family home and we learn of all that he has planned and all he declares to our girl. I also love the side characters in the story. They are all there and offer the right guidance to the characters when they need it. I would love to see Grace’s dad marry again along with Eliza!

I won this book from the author and this is my honest opinion

Kendall is just your normal girl who happens to be from the wrong side of the tracks she moved in with her grandparents at a young age when her parents both ended up in jail then cancer took her grandma and now its gotten her grandpa too but hasn’t taking him. she works for everything they have and tries her best to be able to stay above paying the bills and keeping their trailer from getting taking away. After losing the loves of her life in a car crash she hast been the same until one night at work she was sent to a table of 4 sexy as hell guys and for the first time in 2 years she was flirting with them. well that was all it took for them to click the 5 started hanging out more and things started happening kisses were exchanged and well things could get super messing so Kendall put the brakes on she wasnt going to be the reason these friends would break apart if they were to fight over her. well Maverick, Goose, Lucas, and Teagan has other plans they didn’t share with others but they were all falling for Kendall and she was falling for them all. wow this book is amazing and their relationship is so cute and ugh gives you all he feels. even with all the ups and downs through this book definitely couldnt put it down.

Brandy Slaven lives in Tennessee with her husband and two wild children. If you can’t find her typing away at her laptop, you will find her with her nose in a book at the beach or hiking at one of the state parks. Bringing her characters to life is one of her greatest accomplishments.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

This was the first full book I have read by this author.  I was actually pretty intrigued at this mafia/cartel/dark story.  I mean it hits all the right dark elements right!!

Chloe was a pretty entitled girl, but she also had to deal with her not so awesome or involved parents.  Her dad is a senator with political aspirations.  So Chloe is only good when she fits his agenda.  Her mother is a wet mop who is a trophy wife is the best guess.

Chloe just wants to be a journalist but her dad has a tantrum and takes her schooling away from her ya know because she was partying at a club….like a normal college kid……DUH DAD!  So she is none to thrilled to be ordered to attend a political party to put on the “show” for him.  She puts on the happy face and decides she will find something to write a story about at the party she is being forced to attend…not a good idea girl!!

Now here is where we meet Brandon.  He is a super slick accountant …and Chloe’s dads accountant at that.  He also is a bit on the corrupt side annnnd did I mention he works with the mafia??  Brandon sees Chloe and is not thrilled when she rebuffs him.  But soon enough Chloe sets her sights on Brandon and all hell breaks loose.  When Chloe gets busted stealing valuable information EVERYTHING changes for her and Brandon.

The dark elements were pretty amazing in that Chloe can either choose to die or stay as Brandon’s slave for LIFE.  The two find an easy companionship with Brandon helping Chloe realize her true nature.

The plot twist at the end, I was cheering alot and I sure would love more from the couple.

I received a copy of the audio of this book from the author.

I read this book a few years ago.  I fell in love with these guys and Ariel. It was fun to listen to the audio.  I forgot so many little things I was nice to be reminded.  The narrator, Melissa Schwairy , was very good. I felt like I was right there in the book. I didn’t want to push the pause button when my real life needed attention.

So when you are on a road trip with your BFF and she starts to read this book to you while you drive stating you just have to read. Well you listen to her and let me tell you she was right.  I am hooked on this series.

Ariel Kimber has not had an easy life mostly thanks to her mother. Her mom abuses her and has men going in and out her door like people going in and out a revolving door. Her mom meets a man and uproots her to a strange town and new school with no friends. The hurt doesn’t end there being the new girl at school proves to be difficult especially when the town knows her mom’s rep.  When she meets her neighbor’s things start to change for her.

Tyson lives with his Uncle Quinton and twins, Able and Addison.  Ariel becomes fast friends with Tyson but she is leery of Uncle Quin. These four are keeping a big secret from Ariel and she has no idea how much she has in common with them or why she is drawn to them.

The connection these guys and Ariel have is off the charts. The surprises and twists Mary Martel puts in this one has me wanting more and more as I read. The characters are different in their own way and I want to know everything about each one..yes, even Uncle Quin he is so brooding and mysterious.

I am so glad my partner in crime made me listen to this one.  I am hooked and so ready for the next book.

Holy Hells Bells!!

Jaron Mercer is so much like his father, Greyson, in so many ways!!

Piper!! Holy shit did I fall in love with her like I did her parents, Max and Dale!!

If this story is any indication of how the rest of the kid’s books will be, we are going to be in for a hell of a good read!!

Jaron and Piper’s story is only the beginning and you get to meet them in the Wanted anthology. They have some serious issues of loving each other for a long time but never really acting on the feelings until Paris. The two of them have finally lit that fuse and now they can’t stop what is meant to be.
This is a short and quick story, but it leaves me LONGING for the rest because trust me friends, this book is JUST the beginning of their long love story!!!

Becca and Theo…how bad would it suck to know the one person you trust in is your mate but your dad is not ok with it.  He forbids the mating and so they go their separate ways.  To me that is unimaginable to do to shifters who are destined to be together.  Also, side note, people suck and cause drama which is why the couple is torn apart.  Dude, dad wake up and let your daughter follow her heart!!  *shakes fist*

Fast forward 5 years and Becca is missing.  Theo knows he is the one to find his mate.  Even though people stopped them from being together in their youth he is determined to find and save her.

The story is fast paced and has lots of heat.  We learn about some things and the twists kept you wondering and guessing what will happen next.

Friends.  I finished this audio book and had to sit and think about my review.  There is so much happening in this slow burn of a love story ….I mean….WOWZERS!!!

Bay and Finn are not your ordinary H/h of a love story.  They are both broken in a way and that brokenness affects how they deal with people.  Finn cannot stand to be touched and Bay just doesn’t trust or doesnt believe people  don’t  have an ulterior motive.  No one is nice for nothing.

Finn is in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong people.  He serves his time and comes out.  He is living but in black and white.  He has lost the ability to live life in color…until Bay.  When he sees her, he has the need to help her.

Bay is running for a really bad situation.  The more we learn of her past, the more we are angry for her.  When Finn offers to let her move in to his spare apartment little did they known this blooming friendship would become so much more for each of these broken souls.

Seeing these two fight the connection for fear of running what they have built made my heart ache for that finally first kiss!!  GAH!!  It was so sweet and perfect.  As the story builds and we see their relationship move forward we know their pasts will come back to haunt them.  When we learn who helped Finn, I was stunned.  When we see Bay is afraid of her past I literally yelled “you are stupid!!  DO NOT LEAVE HIM!!!!”  LOL  (That isn’t a spoiler so don’t worry!!)

Their story is full of happiness and healing.  I really enjoyed listening to the audio narration. He did a great job expressing the feelings of both characters.

I love the story and the side characters are amazing.  Michel said there is a new book coming out soon and I cannot wait to see who it is about.  I mean, I don’t think I can guess or even choose!!

Michel Prince is an author who graduated with a bachelor degree in History and Political Science. Michel writes young adult and adult paranormal romance as well as contemporary romance.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I have always been interested in Ryder after meeting him in a Meadows book.  I gotta say he did not disappoint.  We knew he loved his sisters, family, and friends.  We know he loves his country and serves proudly in the military.  But getting to KNOW him was amazing even if this was a little tease before the real story happens.

Clara was a great addition to the family we have all come to love.  She fits in with the rest of the strong women in the families.  Her love of The Dove Project and the women it serves plus the people who run it shows.  She takes pride in what she will soon bring to the program herself after school.

The duo is a perfect match in so many ways.  They are both independent and strong people, but both are looking for someone to love them for who they are.

Their date and morning following the date sets up for what will be a strong relationship.  The ending chapter is setting the stage for all they will need to overcome to achieve all they both want in the future novel.
