Jillian Jacobs I’m an author and co founder of HWW and WOTR. I write suspenseful paranormal and contemporary romance. I like miniature tea sets and prefer salty over sweet.

Where is your favorite place to write and what food must be present?

Favorite place to write is in absolute silence and occasionally almonds but if I’m eating I’m not typing.

What are you favorite things about attending signings?

I love when people say they’ve never been to a signing before and that WOTR is their first one. I also love when all involved are supportive of the mission.

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?

My favorite moment was seeing my first book cover, which was for Water’s Threshold. The whole concept was real then. Another favorite moment, was when Angie, Melinda, and Anya and I met at the hotel for the first time to plan WOTR. Oh, and finally getting Thistle Farms to visit last year, that was amazing!

My name is Jolanthe (Jo Lawn They) Aleksander. I am a USMC Brat, former theatre rat, and proud mother to a son who shows me the meaning of unconditional love every day. I write fantasy/paranormal romance mainly featuring the Fae.

Where is your favorite place to write and what food must be present?

My favorite place to write is at a locally owned coffee shop, but since I can’t always get there, my second favorite place to write is in my bedroom. Lays original chips and chocolate is a must.

What are you favorite things about attending signings?

hmmm….my favorite things about attending signings include: meeting new to me readers, seeing readers who have enjoyed my books and are back for more, seeing my author friends who all live entirely too far away from me, and last but not least, being around like minded people who share a love of the written word. There is an energy about signings that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else.

What author would you love to meet (Who is your unicorn author)?

I would love to meet, Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, Darynda Jones, J.R. Ward…the list goes on.

What author would you love to write with?

I’ll have to think on this one a little longer.

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?

My dad’s smile when I signed my first book for him.

Jealousy is a relatively new emotion for me, filling my heart with a million sharp shards of glass. It scratches me raw so easily, until my heart was torn and bleeding. Feeling it for the first time, find myself inferior in a whole new way, I sob into my pillows helplessly.
Dryas comes into the bedroom a while later on quiet feet. I am glad he didn’t see the fit of tears that chased me out of the kitchen. Still, my eyes are red and puffy, my nose still stuffed up. As he approaches the bed, I can’t help but wonder if he compares me to her.
That thought, dark and vicious, seems to gnaw at my soul. 
When he sits down beside me, I release a long-suffering sigh. Looking up at him, I’m embarrassed to even be having these emotions, yet incapable of feeling differently. He pins me with that chartreuse gaze, those dark brows drawn low.
“I am sorry,” he begins, surprising me. “I should have told you about Aurelia from the start.”
I push myself upright, sniffling. “I mean, I’m not your girlfriend. This isn’t a relationship we are in, technically. You don’t owe me any explanations.”
 He looks a little surprised. “No? What would you call it, then?”
My face heats up, my cheeks growing as red as cherries. I hesitate. “I… I don’t know. We never talked about it. It just sort of… happened. One time turned into two, two times to four…”
I splay my hand on the comforter, picking at a loose thread. Dryas sighs and shifts closer to me.
“Do I mean nothing to you, then?”
He takes my hand, pulling it against his torso. I glance up at him, my heart racing at his words. 
“No. Of course not,” I reply, my words soft.
His lips lift in the gentlest smile. He’s devastatingly handsome in that moment, looking down at me with his brilliant yellow-green eyes.“Good. You mean something to me, too.”
He leans across and drops the perfect kiss against my bee-stung lips, gentle but firm, tender yet passionate. I open my mouth to him, my fingers clutching at the sweatshirt covering his chest. God, how I love this man.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Oh man where do I begin!!?? Lyssa, sister!! Abram was such a hot mess in Robbie and Jordan’s book I was really wondering how you could fix him but fix him you sure did!
Jordan and Abram have known each other all their lives. Jordan falls in love and married Robbie who is Abram’s bestie/wing man. As soon as their life picks up and moves forward, Robbie is killed in the military. This story picks p 5 years after his death. Their story is the prequal to this story.
Jordan is a dedicated mom, rancher, friend and is slowly freaking out that the feelings she has for her best friend, Abram, are slipping into the “more than friends” category.
Abram has watched Jordan every day her entire life but when situations change, and he comes back after helping his sister, his eyes open to the woman she has become. He soon realizes he can’t live with out her in his life. PERIOD.
The couple are essentially raising her son as THEIR son. They are starting to realize there is a lot more going on then just best friends…which everyone else sees but they are both to dumb to see until their world is shook when Pop, Abram’s Father, has a heart attack. The thought of losing his pushes them both into re-evaluating things.
Now of course love can’t come easy with the two for them. They are dealing with her fears of finally moving on past her dead husband of 5 years. They are dealing with other people being interested in the pair plus the fear of what if this doesn’t work. There were times I wanted to smack Jordan upside the head and shake her senseless for thinking less of Abram’s feelings for her. Then toward the end of the story I was gonna nut check Abram for being such a jackass over something that happened with Jordan…sigh…but mainly I loved the journey these two take!!
