The walk to his room was second nature—a quick elevator ride, take a right and go down four doors. A swift rap of my knuckles against the door, and then I waited for the overwhelming force that was Gavin Grayson.

“Hello,” he said as he opened the door. No scowl to greet me, no anger. There was a small upturn of his lips, a little more prominent on one side than the other.

A shudder rolled through me, my heart doing double time again.
“What’s wrong tonight?” I asked as I stepped into his room.
“You’re not in it,” he said.
My stomach flipped, and I felt heat flood my cheeks. How was it that in a few short weeks he had taken over my heart? I wanted, yearned for his praise. To get caught up in his eyes, loving the way they would soften and grow heavy as he looked at me.
I drew in a stuttered breath as he stepped forward and towered over me. In heels I was a decent five-feet-eight, but Gavin had to be a few inches over six feet tall—a commanding presence as he loomed over me.
“Emma?” He was so close I could feel his breath on my skin.
“Hmm?”
“I want you.”
The muscles in my thighs clenched and I stretched up toward him, almost begging him closer. “Yes.”
“To stop looking at me like that.”
The haze he covered me with suddenly cleared as I looked up at him. My stomach dropped as I tried to comprehend what happened. “What?”
He stepped away, his back turned to me. All of his muscles were tense, his fists clenching at his side.
“If that’s what you want, what do you need?” I asked.
His head fell back. “I thought I’d made that obvious.”
“I’m not sure,” I replied, more than a little surprised at how breathy my voice was. “I’ve gotten a lot of mixed messages.”
He moved back toward me. “You have me conflicted.”
“How so?”
“Because the last time I wanted a woman anywhere near this much, things didn’t end so well,” he began. “Because you’re young. Because you work for the hotel and not for me.” He reached out, his fingers caressing my clavicle before slipping up my neck. “Because nothing has ever seemed as taboo as your lips.”
My knees felt weak as he moved closer, my nipples tightening. There was no resistance as I waited with bated breath.
His lips were soft against mine, supple. A taste, a sample. It was perfect, and an electric pulse moved between us. Every ounce of want and desire sat in the small gap between our lips.
A squeak left me when he suddenly pressed forward, kissing deeper and more intensely than before. His free arm wound around my waist, pulling me closer to him while his mouth opened. I followed suit, wrapping my arms around his shoulders, pulling him closer. It was forceful and filled with more passion than I’d ever encountered, so much that it ignited an inferno inside me.
All I wanted was for him to keep touching me, to never stop.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

When Aly asked if I would like to review her new “sweet holiday book”, I jumped.  Her books have that feel good vibe you get when reading.

The story is about Caroline who is stuck in the airport trying to get home to her dad in Iowa for Christmas.  She meets and chats with a kind and attractive man who hands her the phone and says “hey talk to my mom would ya.”…yup and that is how this whole story starts.

Colin told a small white lie to his family about bringing a non-existent girlfriend home for the holiday.  When he finds out Caroline’s story, he offers to help her if she helps him.  Upon entering his childhood home, he throws the final grenade at her…she is his liv- in girlfriend!!

Caroline is a trooper, but she enjoys the family time since she is an only child and being around Colin’s mom since she has lost her own mom helps to heal her heart.  There is insta-love but honestly this whole book is just a feel-good story.

We do have some conflict in the form of LAURA….Growl…not a fan of her at all but the end of the story was adorable and I can say I enjoyed reading it the night before Thanksgiving when the Holiday seasons officially kicks off.

Indiana. He said we had to move to Indiana. Was I in for a shock. Actually, no, but it would have been a great story. I love living and raising my family in the Midwest. Shut the Front Door!  Then lock that bitch up tight!!  I mean WHOOOOOO What is happening to me???

This book is all kindsa leaving me with the chills and feeling so confused!!  The cliffhanger at the end was expected given it’s a trilogy but DAYUM!!

Rochelle is living life to the fullest.  She has it all going on for her and she is happy right.  I mean her daughter is perfect.  Her stud of a boytoy is amazeballs.  What could she have to worry about???  But then all of a sudden, her life is turned upside down by her stalker.  I mean the blurb is what made me want this book and now that I have it, I can’t talk about it because DAMN IT this entire review would be full of spoilers.

Just know this and understand this…when you read it be ready to be creeped out…..be stunned….be freaked….have insurance on your kindle because the gasping and dropping of it at the end of the book….yup…you will need it!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I totally fell in love with Eli in Jackson’s book.  When Heather said Eli was getting a novella, I was so excited.  I mean we all love a bad boy, but a broken bad boy makes all the women’s hearts swoon.  Eli always acted like he wasn’t a fan of the whole “love” thing but the way he helped Jackson through the loss of his wife and everything after spoke differently.

It turns out Eli was, in fact, a one-woman kinda guy who loves Kait with everything he has.  He has dreams, hopes and aspirations that will include her by his side….or so he THOUGHT.

Kait loves Eli but the chance to go to Paris to learn to cook turns out to be bigger then her love for the boy she gave her heart too.  When she leaves and never returns, she destroyed our Eli.

I enjoyed the short look into the “what happened” between these two.  The dynamic and the chemistry were a great read for me and I definitely look forward to the longer novel in the future because this novella is just the beginning for out couple.  It’s a bit of a teaser after reading the cooking scene!!!  Read it and you will understand what I mean.
