GAH!!!  This book.  I had no clue its paranormal and so when the elements hit I was like WHAT!!  How did I miss it?  #SlowBrain

Our girl Ariel has had a bad life.  A drunk, stripper for a mom who only cares for Ariel if she can get something from another or pour her another drink.  Honestly Ariel is more of an annoyance then anything.  When her mother moves her and Ariel to a new town to be a live in “Companion” she is forced to adjust to a small town where everyone knows your business.  The towns people are not too thrilled with her mom sooo the kids in High School are not too friendly with Ariel.

On her first day, she runs smack in to the town hottie with an attitude named Tyson.  The two are thrust into each other’s path all day long.  She leaves and is pretty much hating life.  One day two everything changes and Mr. Rude becomes Mr. Friendly.  The two form a strange friendship.  Their friendship is now joined by a pair of twins who happen to live with Tyson and his brooding uncle Quint.  Oh yeah and they happen to be Ariel’s neighbors.

As the story unfolds there is more to Ariel then just a pretty girl next door and her new friends are keeping some big, crazy secrets from her.  The guys attraction to Ariel is off the carts and so is hers to them but that isn’t normal, right?  I mean you can’t be attracted to them ALL can you?  Then there is the brooding and cranky uncle who is not that much older than her who keeps checking her out and her him…so as you can tell…LOTS OF CHEMISTRY!!!

This book was sooooo good.  I didn’t stop once I started.  The beginning of the story keeps you invested because you feel for Ariel but then as the story unfold, DUDE YOU CAN’T STOP!!!!!!!!

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Lawd this book!  I mean I flipping had tears!!  GAH!!!

This book we get the back story on everything that Mary *GROWL* and Faelan went through during their relationship from the moment of Brie and Sir’s collaring to their own collaring.  We see Faelan trying to break through to Mary but in the end Mary ruined any chance of happiness.  Gosh did I feel bad for Todd.  I never thought I would feel for him.  I mean he was such an issue for Brie and Sir initially and so hurtful but as we see him grow and mature into the Dom we know he can be…yeah my heart aches for him.

Once we relive the old relationship we jump right back in to Rytsar protecting Brie from Lilly.  Faelan becomes the person who will carry out the plans because as we know, Rytsar is gone.  We see so much of Brie and Faelan this book and their bond is full of trust and mutual respect.  Faelan knows that Brie is where and with whom she was destined for but his heart is closed off to love after losing her and Mary.

When Marquise Grey takes Faelan in he helps his realize that his past is holding him back.  But when a curvy sub at the Haven catches his eye, everything starts to click for him and he realizes that he must face his past….omg that last chapter………..shivers!

As the book is ending, our favorite cast of Masters and Mistresses are sent on a rescue mission to find and save our long-lost friend before tine runs out.

As per any of the books in the series, we get to reconnect with our old favorites and continue to see them all thrive and grow as a family.  I love the heart that Red brings to the story.  She has the ability to make us think about what makes us really happy and to go grab life by the gusto.

WOW the emotions I went through in this book. To see how much Faelan has matured and grown over the years is heartwarming.  This is Faelan’s story and why he is the man he became.

The beginning of this starts dark and had me nervous what was going to happen. This takes us back to when Faelan was recovering from surgery. We get to see Faelan and Mary’s relationship. Like some relationships we get the good, bad and ugly. Faelan has grown no longer thinking of himself he shows loyalty dedication and love toward his family and friends. The way the Training Center dominant come together no questions asked when one of their own needs help is amazing.

Between the needle play, flogging scene, and knife play the Doms know who to satisfy the subbies. One of my favorite scenes was Mary and Faelans date and the gift he gave her being a fan of this movie myself I would have loved to receive this gift. The composure Faelan has when it comes to Mary’s wrath is incredible. He is so calm and patient even when she is being a cruel raving lunatic. My heart brock so many times for Faelan from his past that haunts him to his relationships.

It was great seeing everyone in this one but holy moly what a way to end a book. The last chapter was heart stopping and shocking. However my Rytsar is next and I cannot wait for his book but I have a feeling it will be full of angst and heartache.

A few of my favorites:

“Don’t you dare put me on a pedestal. I promise it will come crashing down on you.” “Mary, I see your flaws and…I get them. You don’t need to hide anything from me. I accept and love you for who you are.”

The smallest one in the group piped up. “So does that mean you’re her prince?” Mary took over. “He’s actually a big fluffy wolf, but was turned into a man to protect me.” The little girl walked up to Faelan and started petting him. “Nice puppy.”….“Mommy, he’s not a prince, he’s a dog.” “Wolf, actually,” Mary chimed in.

“Yes. When I love someone, I love them completely.” She traced her finger over his lips. “You aren’t like all the other boys, are you?” “No. My loyalty is fierce.” He grinned when he added, “Like a wolf.”

“Your love suffocates me.” “Only because it’s real and you can’t handle it.”

She had everything going for her, the looks, the smarts, the talent, and the drive. But she lacked one critical element. She didn’t believe her own worth, and no amount of love from him would ever change that.

Heck, the two of them had been extremely compatible sexually as Dom/sub; he just hadn’t realized it took more than that to keep her as a sub. It had been a hard, but valuable lesson.

Sweet Baby Jesus do I need to go to church and be rebaptized after reading this book.  I feel hella dirty and hella twisted over loving such a sick and just wrong book…but I need more.  I neeeeeeeed MORE.  Ladies remember I volunteer as a tribute to do laundry, cook, clean WTFE You need if you let me read over your shoulders.  Heck I would do with just watching you two brain-storm this crazy!!

Ok this book gives us a flashback to Noah and Ivy’s “Friendship” before the kidnapping.  We get to see how they both covet what they want but can’t have which is why they are in this situation to freaking begin with.

The book starts right after Noah and Ivy have broken a big rule and are going to be punished….gahhhh……the bad lady is even worse this book.  Ladies I am pretty sure the Catholic Church will not be ok with the use of those rosary beads…juuust saying…….We learn a bit about “The Voice” and the fact that she KNOWS our two very well.  We also must see someone from their past and deal with a deal being made to try and save their friends life.

More secrets are let out by both Ivy and Noah while under the duress of the whole situation.

But as the book ends it totally is gearing us up for the next installment and man I dunno if I can wait that long….I need more Ivy and Noah love story…omg did I say love story???  Yeah I did because in a crazy way this is the beginning of their HEA or so I hope!!!

2^nd chance love story…yes please!!  Who doesn’t ever wonder What If right?

We meet Anna and Will.  They are both teens and as we all know teens are dramatic and stupid…LOL.  The couple break up because Anna is a bit dramatic, she moves away, and meet up 10 years down the road.  Anna’s life is a hot mess.  Her marriage is falling apart and so she runs home.

What I did love was that Will was the one wo longed to be with Anna.  Anna on the other hand was too worried about what the neighbors will think.  In my mind at her age and what she is dealing with WHO Cares but none the less Anna is worried.

I loved the whole running home can solve your problems.  I also loved Will.  He was not going to let Anna get away again.    I did see a lot of emotional growth between the two characters and they are able to deal with everything that as teens they can’t.

The tears came. She couldn’t stop them, and she hated the path they burned down her cheeks, hated that Ryder was witness to her unraveling, just like he’d been in Russia.

He rested his hand on her back, not speaking, and he didn’t move to shush her. His palm simply rested there.

“Ryder.” She fell against him, and he wrapped his arm around her.

“Easy, love,” he whispered. “Take a breath.”

“I can’t.”

She blinked and refocused on him. “What?”

“I didn’t mean to invade your space.”

Her head dropped. Ruined. He saw nothing but a ruined woman who was so fragile he misread what she meant with a simple look. “I didn’t—I wasn’t… I made a face. Or I didn’t mean to make a face.” She cringed. Such a mess! She couldn’t even get her words right. “I sound like an idiot!”

“You don’t.”

“I do. I’m not someone people worry about. Ever. I worry about people. That’s what I do. Did! I took care of people, and now look at me. I’m broken.” A sob caught in her throat. “I thought I was strong, and now, I’m this.”

He came to her bedside, swooping next to her. “Victoria.”

“Something happened to me. Over there.” She sucked a breath as she collapsed against the pillows. “And I can’t.”

He put a careful hand on her forearm. “Listen to me.” He ducked down close. “I don’t know what’s the right or wrong thing to say now, so I’m just going to say this.”

He came closer so their eyes met. His head was almost level with hers on another pillow, but he held her gaze and didn’t let go.

“Please don’t tell me to get up,” she whispered. “To get back to my life.”

“I wouldn’t dream of it.” Ryder shifted so his weight was semi-on the bed, but he didn’t break their stare. “We brought everyone home, and every girl said you were their savior, that you put yourself in front of guards for them, that you made sure they had food. If nightmares struck, you coaxed them back to sleep. You were their guardian angel in hell.”

Her eyes burned again with tears, but she wouldn’t look away from his emerald ones.

“Whoever you are, love, wherever you’re from, you take as long as you need to get back the strength it took to become you, and I will stay by your side to help you if that’s what it takes.”

“Why?” Her voice broke along with a stray tear.

“Because I admire warriors.”
