Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

A.J. Moran; I’m married to my high school sweetheart and have four grown kids. I’ve enjoyed crafting stories as far back as playing barbies with my friends. I’d write a script out for us to play, fraught with lots of drama and romance.

 

How did you hear about this event?  How many years have you attended?

I’ve had some author friends attend and I’ve seen videos of the event. This will be my first year.

 

What genres do you write?

What is a book of yours you wish more people read?

My Orion’s Daughter series. It was a passion project and I’m still in love with it.

 

What is one fun fact about you?  It can be anything like food allergy, fear of something, weird way you broke a bone…….

I’ve broken an arm and a leg. My leg was broken when I was six months old and my 11 year old brother put me in a bouncer on the table and went to answer the door. I bounced right off the table. The arm was broken when I was eight and waiting for my best friend to get home on her porch. I sat on the railing and fell backwards into the bushes. I was left handed until then.

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.
I absolutely loved her zombie books so I JUMPED to read this one. Now there aren’t any zombies so if that isn’t your thing you should be good.
Dean and Astrid are quite a pair. LOL Dean kinda…well….yeah he wants to keep the pretty but clueless neighbor safe as the world is coming to an end. SO he does what all rational men do, he kidnaps her. LOL If you read Kylie books you know the banter is amazing and hilarious between them.
As the world is falling apart and Astrid realized Dean isn’t as crazy as she thinks, they begin to travel to find a safe place to hunker down. Dean wants to keep her all to himself, and Astrid is like HELLLLS NO. They find a crew of like-minded people to form a town with while also finding another town of not so great men who feel they own all the women and items around.
I loved seeing Astrid realize her attraction to Dean and him opening to the fact she actually might have a few good ideas. Their adopted kid they find in the town is such a fun character because she is NOT ok with the friends to lovers change between the two.
I cannot wait to get this in audio because I just know it will be 100x better!!

 

UPDATE : I was given this audio book from the author for an honest review.  Oh man was it even better listening to the story with Andi telling it.  I laughed and got cringed with Astrid at times but boy did i SWOON again over Dean.  This book is one I will  relisten to time and time again.

I broke my foot on a teeter-totter when I was thirteen. Technically, my friend jumped off while I was at the top and squish! went my foot.

Disney is my favorite place in the world and if i can make a trip happen I do!!  Thankfully my husband is a big Disney fan as well so he is always onboard for the impromptu trips.

Hi, I’m Jillian Jacobs aka Green Moose Productions —a once-active author of romantic suspense and paranormal romance, with 11 books under my belt. These days, though, I’m more of a reader than a writer. Honestly, I don’t have plans to dive back in anytime soon.

I love stories with a healthy dose of angst and a satisfying happily ever after. I growl at cliffhangers. I’ve been on a suspense kick lately, and I’ll mix in a little classic literature here and there when the mood strikes.

Beyond books, I’m one of the founding members of Writers on the River and Healing with Words. By day, I work for a nonprofit called Universal Cares, and I live in Indiana with my three one-year-old cats who keep life full of floating cat hair. I’m also the proud mom of my son Jacob, who recently got engaged to Gillian – with a G.

Coffee, polish pottery, home renovations, dry red wine, true crime podcasts, books, and a fresh set of nails are essentially all I need – other than my husband, Jeremy. He’s nice to have around.

Our advice to anyone thinking planning an event is easy…its not.  If it look easy when you are at the event, its because the hosts have worked tirelessly to make sure the day runs like a well oiled machine.  Please understand planning an event is a full time job.  No joke!!  We all work full time jobs and VOLUNTEER our time to this charity.  We all love what we do and wouldn’t change anything but please do your research before you give your money to anyone planning an event.

Something More, The Westbrook Sisters book 1 by H. D’Agostino

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

I was super excited to see this book was about older characters.  I feel I can relate to them over younger teens/early 20 somethings.  Plus who doesn’t love a 2nd chance with older characters??

Codie and Hank were such a great read.  I loved this story of being first loves.  I was so invested in the “why didn’t it work” in the beginning of the story since it was clear they had such love for each other.

This was a great coming home to your family story when you need them to support you through hard times.  Codie and Hank go through so much in the story and to learn why they were split up was heart breaking but in some ways you understand.

Seeing Hank do all he can to show Codie the man he is now and the man he can be for her son was so heartwarming.  I loved all the scenes with them together.  The swimming scene was probably my favorite.

I loved the sisters and what is happening to them.  I can’t wait to see what drama they have in store for us.  But seeing Codie and Hank get that HEA was so fulfilling for me.

I was given this book by the author for an honest review.

I am so excited to see Red has written another Training Center book.  I am even more excited to see a NEW Cast of characters while also briefly seeing our old favorites to open the center.

This story is about a recruit, Soph, who was brought as a Plus 1 to a fancy party by her bestie Gwen.  They are thick as thieves and are having a great time.  Soph who is the normal wallflower found so confidence with her sexy appearance and having a few hotties flirting helped her out.

When she makes some changes in her life, she meets a man from the party who gives her a card to call Todd Wallace…..ya know the WOLF from the old series!!!  Any who, she decided she was making new changes and embraced this chance to learn about submission from Dominants.  Of Course, she got a boast of support from BRIE but we learn the new training center is going to be the same BUT EVEN MORE EXCITING!!!  WHAT!!  I KNOW!!

Soph meets a few friends in the new class.  She also makes an enemy…darn jerks.  But she starts to learn that submission is a calling she never knew was in her heart.

I am so excited because I see so many different scenes with so many different Doms soon and I am buzzing with anticipation!!!  This book was the PERECT kick off to the new series.  We are left hanging on a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see what happens right before the first auction!!  GASP!
