Oh my land, I love these VC Warriors but we are introduced to the Dark Guardians Viktor, Bishop, and Charger. WOW are these three just as bad a$$ as the other Warriors.

When Lacey decides to do research for her paranormal book she finds herself in an awkward predicament that is until a hunk of a man intrudes on her research date.  Viktor felt a pull to Lacey the minute he saw her and after implanting himself in the middle of her date he decides he will be her source for her research. Lacey is just trying to make ends meet by working at her dad’s bar and found a new job at a night club. This is where Viktor and the VC Warriors realize Lacey can be a big asset to the Warriors when things get crazy. But what happens when lacey involvement with Viktor puts her in danger?

Absolutely loved Lacey she is tough, smart, independent and sassy. NO one tells her what she can and cannot do even Viktor.  This book had me on a roller coaster ride. What is going to happen next and fear for all the VC Warriors and their mates? The way this family pulls together and helps each other and has their backs undeniably makes my heart happy. I am so looking forward to the next book which is Viktor’s brother, Bishop. Then maybe we will see more of Charger and possible his book.  J J

I received this book from an honest review.

This was my first book of Valarie Twombly’s.  Yes it is the forth book in the series and I was able to keep up and do not feel like I was missing something. Although like with any other series I’m sure there are small things I do not know of the characters has I read the series from book one.

Ranata was a waitress serving drinks in a dive bar. She was on a mission to find her sister when she found herself as a sacrifice . Man is this when her world was tipped on its axes. She finds herself matted to a demon and finds out who her mother is and in turn who she is.

Baal is Hades right hand demon. After having his heart torn out by the one he loved. He swears off loving another but when fates step in and give him a feisty mate can he protect his heart.

The twist and turns were great. I enjoyed this story and I would like to know more about these guys.

I purchased the audio book.

This is a second chance kind a sort of with a bit of forbidden love story. You see Adele had a best friend, Pete, when she was younger. Even though he was 15 years older than her she had a huge crush on him. When she turned 18 she decided to let him know how she felt. Well let’s just say it didn’t go as she planned quite the opposite actually. With a broken heart she decided to leave town.

Now she has to return home for her dads wedding and face Pete. What a big surprise when she finds out she is staying with Pete for the week. Pete’s head is all over the place does he want her to stay see where things go or is he scared of his feelings.

I wasn’t sure I would like Adele but to see her as a kid in the flash back and to see her as an adult was a great transformation. I loved her spunk, sass, and tell it like it is. She put Pete in his place a few times. Pete and Adele relationship was passionate at times and then Pete would put on the breaks. Will these two be able to make it work or will Adele give up and leave again?

I enjoyed listening to this story. Andi Arndt did a good job with the narration and the different voices of each character. Andi was able to keep me in the story and I did not want to pause it.

How can Teresa make the mates of the VC Warriors live up to the men? Well let me tell you she did it. These fierce women are strong willed, bad ass, and do not need a warrior at her back every second of the day to save her.  These women can handle their own but it is nice to have a warrior at their side.

Nicole loves Damon but has a feeling she is losing herself. She misses her work and believes she can and must help the children in the foster system. She loved doing her job and feels there is a need not only to help the kids but to satisfy her own calling.

The mates of the warriors realize they are not being treated as equal as the guys because they are females and the warriors have it ingrained in them that they are to protect the women. The women band together and decide to take matters into their own hands. They agree to help Nicole at the agency and also better themselves in becoming fierce warriors they know they can be without the guys help.

These women are AMAZING. They are strong and will not back down or give up no matter what is thrown at them or who throws them.  OH and believe me they have their time with one on one combat on the mats and in the field.  Nicole and the others can hold their own. Now the only question is will the warriors let them continue their crusade or will the end it? We can already see there are some warriors that over time are going to stand by their women and others that may draw a line that will be too hard to come back from.

I absolutely love these women as much if not a little bit more than the warriors.  I mean really who doesn’t love a woman that can kick some butt and take names later. I am so excited for this series and see each Warriorette become stronger and do as good a job or better than the Cock Club.
