I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Chasing Dove picks up from the end of Finding Hawk. Jacinda has a terrifying nightmare that has her running from the man she loves to try to and save her mother.

Chatan refuses to loose Jacinda so he follows her the best way he knows how. He has to find a way for her to see there are others out there that care about her and want to help.

The bond Chatan and Jacinda have is unbreakable. I loved watching Chatan and Jacinda grow closer together. Also enjoyed seeing some of the council members but to see Jacinda and Brent learn more about each other was heartwarming. One of my favorite scenes was the tattoos that Chatan’s brother does for them. The other was how Chatan ended up staying with Jacinda in the hotel and car rides.

#Review – Sassy Little Thing (Iron Fury MC) by Bella Jewel

People, in my opinion, don’t take happiness seriously enough.
They go through life, constantly trying to please other people.
I do, however, take my happiness seriously.
Very seriously.
But, when things in my life, go suddenly south, I am left with more than one choice.
Do what’s right, or do what’s wrong?
That, on any normal day, would be an easy choice for me.
I’ll do whatever I need to keep my life flowing with happiness.
But when it comes to love, everything changes.
And him.
I love him.
Which means I have to correct my wrong doings.
I need him to forgive me.
I need money.
It’s the only way.
When a job for a live-in maid comes up, with excellent pay, I jump at the chance.
When I realize it’s for the member of a Motorcycle Club, I still don’t back down.
Even if it means I have to live with and work for, one of the hottest, broodiest and most difficult men I’ve ever met.
I’ll do whatever it takes.
Only, I don’t expect to actually like him.
The mysterious biker.
The one who I seem drawn to.
And now I have a real problem.
Do what’s right, or let my heart take me where it wishes?
Two men. Once choice.
Things are about to get very, very complicated.

I fell in love with Saskia, yep you could call it a girl crush, the first moment she opened that sassy little mouth. I have to say I also enjoyed her BFF Chantelle she is the kind of friend everyone needs in their life.

Saskia life is crazy right now. She put her boyfriend behind bars because she was out for revenge but let’s face it I would have done the same thing in her shoes. Now she is feeling guilty and wants to help him out by paying off his debt. So when her BFF finds her the perfect job that pays very well she jumped at the chance. Most would have and did turn and run the other way when they saw who the employer was but not Saskia she was all in. Seriously, great pay and the chance to look at hot bikers who wouldn’t take that.  Well the guys did lose some money the day Saskia showed up with all her sass and saying what she thinks.

Mason had no idea what he was gaining when he hired Saskia. She doesn’t back down, says what she wants and means what she says. Mason didn’t open up to anyone about personal stuff. Most didn’t know much about him but it was so easy for him to open up to Saskia.

I loved these two together the brooding biker and the feisty woman. My heart went out to both of them having to deal with the most god awful family. Saskia was not one to back down and if she needed to say something she said it and wouldn’t hold back. She would not let anyone do the talking for her.  I was ready to throttle the whole lot of bikers really give a girl a chance to explain before you go all ape shit. I did enjoy seeing the MC Ladies interactions with Saskia and Chantelle.

I am ready for the next one already the set up for it was great and I am anxiously wait to see what Boston is going to do. It will be a hard one because Boston will have to make a decision and I don’t know what choice I want him to make. Either way it is going to be hard and no matter what it will change everything.

#Review Bound by Destiny by Ryan Michele

Love knows no names—no bounds—sometimes you’re bound by destiny…
Micah’s choices and actions when he was young left him estranged from his family—the Ravage MC family. Older and wiser, it’s now one of his biggest regrets … along with pushing Emery away.
Emery has been walking a tight rope for far too long. Everything has changed. Dealing with her near death experience, her brother’s return, and her parents problems have left her feeling very lost in a world she thought she knew.
Except—sometimes when we are so lost we manage to find exactly where we should be.
Jacks didn’t mean for it to happen, but Emery slammed into him like a freight train pushing all the buttons he’d kept locked down for far too long. Jacks though, can’t get caught up in a game of who is the better man. Been there, done that, and lost in a big way.
When everything changes, destiny is all we can hold onto. Emery finds herself caught between two very different men unable to keep her heart out of the mix.
Sometimes we bleed for others—and sometimes the past, it just won’t let go.
Other times—some people walk away not allowing us to have a choice in the matter …
Those are the times that hurt the most and cut the deepest.

I received a copy of this for an honest review.

I really enjoy this family and watching these kids grow up finding their own path. It may not be the path their parents would choose but hey what kid listens to their parents.

Emery has been friends with Micha since they were kids. She got to see a side of him he never let anyone see. She has loved him for years but once can only hold on for so long. When Emery needs someone Jacks if the one there for her to lean on. Emery’s friendship with Jacks is growing and transferring into something more. However, when Micha decides to come home to make amends and claim Emery he sees there maybe someone in his way. The choice is Emery’s and Emery’s alone. Like Pops said “Who can’t you live without? If they were to leave you this very moment would either of them destroy you?” Well who will it be? Guess you will have to read it to find out.

I enjoyed this one I was never sure what was going to happen. I loved what Ryker did for Emery and Austyn. The end of this book does a great job of setting us up for the next book and boy do I wanna know what will happen next.

#Review Cartel Queen (Almanza Crime Family Duet #2) by Chelsea Camaron

Title: Cartel Queen
Series: Almanza Duet #2
Author: Chelsea Camaron
Genre: Romantic Suspense

Release Date: April 19, 2018

Hardened.
Persistent.
I refuse to break at the hands of a man.
I am Mari Belle Dominguez.
Strong woman.
My situation made me his.
He’ll never really have me.
I’ll never let him hurt me again.
That is … until he claims more than my house, my body, and my life.
When Javier Almanza claims my heart, I’m no longer his cartel bitch.
No, I am the queen.
I thought she wasn’t ready for my world. I thought she needed my protection. I am Javier Almanza, kingpin with a woman who didn’t need a single thing from me, but my love.
The hardest fought wars are the biggest lessons learned. She was my lesson in forgiveness.
*You must read Cartel Bitch before Cartel Queen in order for this book to make sense. Thank you and happy reading. This is book two in the Almanza Crime Family Duet and a full-length romance. This is a dark, edge of your seat romantic suspense featuring an antihero so there is a level of violence inside that may not be suitable for some readers. This is not meant to be an actual depiction of life inside a Cartel but rather a work of fiction meant to entertain.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

Holy Crap on a Cracker!!  This book!!  Mari is some kinda FIERCE woman!!  Javi is not supposed to be the man you love and yet….I. LOVED. HIM!!  #AntiHeroLover

When book 1 of this duet ended, I was devastated much like Mari was.  Her entire reason for being was dead by her horrible brother’s hand no less.

Seeing the fire and passion burning in her eyes and also in Javi’s, I knew this was going to be amazing!!!  Granted they need to clear the air on what happened in the past.  Javi is so lost as to WHY she left, and Mari Belle is so conflicted as to WHY she believed Javi really cared for her when she was “just a Cartel order”.

These two have traveled some roads to finally be together.  Their passion is only fueled by the hatred for Mari’s brother.  Dude has no clue what he has unleashed in his sister, but she is not going to be the passive Mari of the past…helllllla no.  She is going to rise and be a new and improved Mari.

Javi is so possessed by his love for this woman yet so destroyed by her.  The chemistry of their first kiss after all the years apart….HOLY HELL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Don’t get me started on their fist of their things after being part *Wink*

I loved seeing the conflict they both feel over loving the other when so much has happened and so many lies have ruined what could have been.  But man, both characters stand out for so many reasons.  Mari is just FIERCE.  I mean you just don’t mess with a momma bear or her cubs…you just don’t if you want to live.  Javi is so hard but gets so squishy for the woman who has owned his heart since he was a teen.

Such an amazing duet and the cross overs by the Hellions and Devil’s Due was perfect for any fan of Chelsea’s books.

I received a copy of this for an honest review.

This is the conclusion of Cartel Bitch where we pick up right were we ended. Holly crap I am in tears and just as lost as Mari is. Vengeance is strong in this book let’s just say never ever cross a mother or there will be hell to pay no matter if you are blood or not.

I loved Mari every time she was knocked down she gets back up stronger than she was before. Javi and Mari have a love hate relationship. Which will prevail the love or the hate?

This was a short one but so intense and pack full. My emotions were all over. The story line was good and the plot twist was amazing.

#WOTR18 #Review – Refuge (Stone’s Wolf Sanctuary #2) by Teresa Gabelman

Consumed with a need for revenge, Cole Jackson becomes blind to all he should hold dear. It’s not until vengeance has been carried out that he realizes what he’s almost lost.

After being brutally attacked, Leeza Snow, has kept her head up with her pride intact. What everyone doesn’t see is the shattered heart she conceals, not only from her pack but from the man she’s destined to be with.

While time can heal scars, it will take trust to offer a promise of a happy future.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Refuge is the second book in the Stone’s Wolf Sanctuary. This is Cole and Leeza’s story.

Leeza is the sister of the former pack alpha. She is supportive of Eric taking over the pack as alpha after her brother dies. Leeza loves her pack and knows Erie’s younger brother, Cole, is her mate but things change for her in the pack after her best friend is rapped and she tries to protect her. After this attack Leeza feels as if she is being shunned by the pack no one looked at her or talked to her heck even her best friend left her.

Cole is an alpha is all aspects he needs to protect what is his but when he cannot protect the one thing he knows is his starts an internal battle within himself. He tries to avoid Leeza give her space but what he doesn’t realize is he is only causing her more pain.

Leeza is a strong woman who can be a spit fire when she needs to be. just ask Eric man she unleashes on him and the others. Let me tell you it takes a mighty strong woman to take on these alphas with those strong words. Leeza is not one to sit around and be taken care of she wanted to pull her own weight so she found a job that fit her well. Only one problem Cole was not happy with the job she picked but Leeza didn’t seem to care if he liked it or not. She was done letting others tell her what she could and couldn’t do. I admire her for standing her ground and doing what she wanted. I loved the way Leeza was able to bond with other animals especially Ari the wolf-dog.

This pack has been through so much losing an Alpha and getting acclimated to a new Alpha who moved the pack to be with his mate. Now it looks as if they will be dealing with some recoil from the whole Foster Manning issue. I am ready for more of this series and Kile is next. I cannot wait to see him fall and fall hard.

#WOTR18 #NewRelease #Review – Finding The Green Room (The Sutter Family Book 3) by H. D’Agostino

I’ve always known what I was meant to do… surf. I’ve spent practically every day in the water since I was six searching for the green room. This is where I met my best friend, Ryan. We’ve been inseparable for the better part of our lives. He has always ‘just a friend’, and I am ok with that.

As time passed, our friendship evolved into what I thought could be love, only to be tested. A chance to go pro, to find the green room, was right within my grasp. I had a choice to make… Ryan or the future I’d only dreamt about?

I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.

It’s Ryan and Jess book. They have been best friends since meeting on the beach when they were kids. These two were thick as thieves always together. That is until Jess got her big break and went to chase her dreams leaving Ryan behind. Ryan is jealous that Jess got the break that was the dream he had for himself. Can I just say that ugly green monster does not look well on Ryan.

Jess is forced to face her past and Ryan when has to return home for a wedding. My heart broke for Jess and my opinion of Ryan began to falter.  I was never happier when Ryan realized what he wanted and what he needed to do. Just like the other Sutter men it may take them a while to figure it out but when they do there is nothing that would hold them back. The only thing is it could be too late for Ryan in Jess’s eyes.

I loved seeing these two friendships grow from a young age. They truly were the best of friends. I loved seeing Jess in her element with her friends and on the waves. To see Ryan try to woo Jess was great but to see that Jess was making him work hard for it was even better.

Favorite quote just for the fact of who it came from was “I’m not worried about you. You’ll never get married. You can’t man up and go after your girl.”

#WOTR18 #Review – Finding Hawk (Branches of Emrys book 3) by Brandy L. Rivers

38531990

Armed with her father’s journal and his hawk pendant, Jacinda journeyed to Wanatoga to follow the clues to stop the evil hunting her bloodline. Before arriving at the reservation, she lands herself in a new batch of trouble.

On watch for proof of a plot to abduct and murder Others, Chatan spots a striking redhead he’s immediately drawn to. As he watches, Josephine’s goons capture and before he can make a move, she escapes and runs.

Luckily, she doesn’t run far, goes straight to the nearest Motel, that happens to be owned by his aunt. Without revealing his own secrets, he convinces her staying is the safest option and he’ll help her find what she’s looking for.

Jacinda’s escape only frustrates Josephine who hasn’t given up on capturing the powerful caster who got away.

The elders look for a way to stop the murders. An old story ties Jacinda and Chatan together while her search nears the end.

I received a copy of this book for an honest review.

Finding Hawk is the third book of the Branches of Emrys series. This is Jacinda and Chatan story and the mystery of Hawk and Dove.

Jacinda is on a mission to uncover the clues left behind by her father hoping to find how to stop Thanatos who is out for her family. She finds herself stopping at a diner in Saint Morton where she is kidnapped. Jacinda is able to find a way to get out of that trouble and takes refuge in a hotel; the same hotel that is owned by Chatan’s aunt.

Chatan is drawn to Jacinda who convinces her to stay and agrees to show her around while she looks for what it is her dad left her clues for.

Both Jacinda and Chatan keep their secrets close. Jacinda is afraid to stay in one spot fearful Thanatos will find her. Chatan has not felt like he belonged on the reservation or in Edenton where his dad and brothers are.

I enjoy seeing Chatan break down some of Jacinda’s walls and seeing her fall for Chanton. One of my favorite things is seeing the characters of Brandy’s other series she has a way of intertwining her characters from each series. I am so looking forward to Chasing Dove because Brandy left us on a little cliffy and I need to find out the ending of Chatan and Jacinda’s story.

A few of my favorite quotes:

Something you need to accept is that you may never find the answers. When you find love, you should hold on, no matter what. Especially if they are willing to follow you. Love you, dove. Good luck with Chatan.

Chatan already knew he was playing with fire. He couldn’t fucking well help it either. Nothing worth having wasn’t worth fighting for. And maybe she needed to be shown what he wanted.

#review – Mountain of Truth: The Revelations of Oriceran (Soul Stone Mage #3) by Sarah Noffke

36352949

The Kingdom of Virgo has lived in peace for thousands of years…until now.

Terran has gone too far, poisoning the wells and streams of Virgo. Queen Azure must act fast in order to save her people from a deadly virus that steals their magic.

Only one witch knows the cure to the virus and no one knows how to find her.

Azure and her ragtag crew set off for the Mountain of Truth in hopes of locating Mage Lenore, the oldest witch alive. They soon learn the problem isn’t finding the old witch. It’s surviving each other on the mountain.

Welcome to The Revelations of Oriceran.

A magical world tied to Earth, and nothing like it.

*NOTE: There’s cursing in this book because these witches and wizards are just rude like that. If cursing is a problem, then this might not be for you.

This story starts where The Dark Forest ends. Phillip poisons Virgo’s water to weaken the witches and warlocks and taint the crops. Queen Azure and crew finds themselves traveling to the Mountain of Truth to find Mage Lemore and the Book of Branches to save Virgo. This will not be easy as the Mountain of Truth has some of its own obstacles for the Queen and her motley crew.

Sara does a great job of introducing us to new characters. SO enjoy seeing all these characters growing and each one is gaining a place in my heart. Oh my the little unicorn is one of a kind. As always Monet adds that extra comedic relief.

Sara has a way of pulling every emotion from me while reading her books and this was no different. Now I need to read Land Of Terran to see what will happen next.
