Anya Gage has learned that to get anything good in life, you have to work for it. She has no expectations, no dreams.
Then she finds herself at a party where she doesn’t want to be and she meets Knight.
Knight Sebring knows who he is, what he wants and what he likes. And he gets it. But he never expected something as sweet as Anya Gage to wander into his bedroom during a party he did not expect to be having to borrow his phone.
Knight tries to leave Anya to the life she deserves of white picket fences and a man who watches football on Sundays – good, normal and clean. But when Anya comes to his nightclub and finds herself in a situation, he knows someone has to look after her, he can’t fight it anymore and he decides that man will be him.
Knight teaches Anya that, just as with the bad, in life you should also expect the good. And he teaches her this by giving it to her.
But Knight has a dark past and just as he desires Anya for exactly who she is, he fears when she finds out exactly the man he has become and always intends to be, she’ll leave him for good, normal and clean.
Have I been under a rock this is my first Kristen Ashley book. A friend gifted it to me and said you need to read this. WOW did I ever!! The characters and story line were good my only hang up was the Baby/Daddy thing. Anya was the low maintenance doesn’t thing she is pretty type of girl. Knight is all Alpha knows or sees what he wants and claims it.
Anya is at a party when she decides to make an exit but realizes she need a phone since her cell is dead only she chooses to walk into the wrong room and use the wrong person’s phone or was it? Knight steps in and takes over wow Anya has no idea what she is walking into. Knight is a take charge kind of guy and that is exactly what he does when it comes to Anya. Anya notices things in her building are being fixed that have been untouched even after others told the landlord of the issues. Mostly Knight has made his way into her life and they are now together not giving her an option.
Knight has a dark side and no matter what if Anya asks he tells her the truth he doesn’t try to sugar coat anything for her even if it could make her run from him. Anya is the one that calms him and he doesn’t want to lose that. I have to say the secret he tried to keep from her had my jaw dropping I had no idea that was what he was trying to keep from her and I don’t think Anya saw it either but Knight’s brother was sure to let the cat out of the bag for him. Knight had his secrets and I was never sure what to think of him but by the end he had me just like he first got Anya. Just think if it weren’t for that cheap cell phone. I’m ready for more from Kristen Ashley.
Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).
Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.
And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

Never agree to a road trip to New Orleans with your roommate. At least not when your roommate is dragging you along while she reconnects with an ex-boyfriend. Possible consequences of failing to take my advice:
1) Unknowingly going out with a vampire stripper
2) Getting kidnapped by said vampire’s nest mates
3) Falling head over heels for your winged hero

Two years, six months, and twenty-five days. That’s how long it had been since I’d seen my winged hero— not that I’d been counting. I’d suffered through years of counseling just to convince my friends and family that I wasn’t crazy and knew he didn’t exist.
But he did. And I was done waiting.
Days after college graduation I headed back down to New Orleans to retrace my steps and find Owen again only to find my life was about to get even crazier… thanks to the most beautiful and dangerous of all paranormal creatures, the Allures.

I’m the girl from the school of hard knocks.
Nothing has ever come easy for me. So forgive me if I’m a bit reluctant about Kincaid Griffin – born-with-a-silver-spoon in his mouth, conceited college hoops player. A guy who could get any girl he wants, and yet, is suddenly everywhere I am trying to woo me. The more I protest, the more persistent he becomes.
I’m a lucky bastard.
Let’s face it. As a college athlete, I don’t chase girls – they come to me. I’m as arrogant and cocky as they come, getting nearly everything I want, whenever I want. But there is nothing sweeter than a girl who plays hard to get. And Ainsley Locker is so full of confidence that she knocks me off my feet from the moment I meet her. She’s a challenge. And I like challenges. So I go full-court press to win her over.
But when a stupid mistake turns viral, slam dunking all over my life in a media frenzy, my spot on the team may be in jeopardy, along with my shot at winning the girl.
I received a copy of this book from the author for an honest review.
I don’t read many sports related boos but this has a good story line with strong characters. Not only was I invested in the two main characters but also the other characters also that I need to know more about.
Cade was the all-star that had everything handed to him, never had to chase the girls they were always there waiting for him. However, one bad decision one night threatened to end everything for him.
Ainsley has never had an easy life between working two jobs, raising a teenage sister and going to school she does not have time for anything else especially guys. When she first meets Cade she gives him the brush off when he tries to turn on his usual charm. At this time I was cheering Ainsley on for this move thinking don’t need this guy.
As fate would have it that would not be the only time these two run into each other. Ainsley still wants nothing to do with Cade and well this only makes him want her more. So he pursued harder and she finally caved. But just as things are going good for them his secret comes out in a big way. Now the question is can Ainsley forgive him and can their relationship overcome this?
I enjoyed Ainsley and Cade’s story and also getting to know the other characters. I am excited to see where the other stories are going to go. Cannot wait for the next Story.
Sierra Hill wrote her first full-length romance after a corporate acquisition led her to a stint of unemployment, offering her some quality writing time.
She loves writing about the fictional characters that live in her brain who constantly shout for their own love story to be told.

More Than A Fling is Book #2 in the Cottage Grove Series. It can be read as a standalone, complete with a HEA.
Julia Caldwell has long since mastered the art of seduction in order to catch the only thing on her radar; one night stands. Having two failed marriages under her belt, she’s learned to keep her feelings in check and remain aloof, not wanting to get caught up in another pesky relationship only for it to end eventually in heartache. As the manager of a prestigious Hair Salon in Nashville, she succeeds in keeping the opposite sex at arms-length except when it suits her and her needs. That is until she lands on Cottage Grove soil.
Dean Parker has just as many failed marriages against him, and with being a divorce lawyer it eventually has him thinking that’s why his conquests always fall through, due to his occupation. After seeing his two childhood friends rekindle their flame and earning the happily ever after he so desperately craves, he decides to give up. That it’s not worth the heartache he’s been put through. Until he meets the snarky spitfire who gets under his skin.
Throwing the two of them together in the same town for the wedding of their best friends, Julia isn’t against having another fling, even if it is with Dean, but he definitely has other plans of making it more than that. Amongst their non-defined affair, lurking somewhere in the darkness is a shadow from one of their pasts who will stop at nothing to make sure that happily ever after’s stay where they belong, in the fairy tales.
I received this book for an honest review.
DEAN!! YES!! I was so excited for this book. He is cocky, arrogant, hawt and just puuuuurfect for me. Julia is so sassy, feisty and the perfect woman to keep this lawyer on the defense!
When Dean and Julia meet there was instant chemistry. They both called it like they saw it and I loved it. This book throws our two favorite besties together for Eden and Baylor’s wedding. The instant they are together the digs and banter starts. I swear I am laughing and then screaming KISS ALREADY!!! They are so perfect for each other but they drive everyone crazy by denying it.
When Eden and Baylor leave for their honeymoon, we see Julia and Dean actually spending time together and realizing that they LIKE each other. I love that Dean keeps teasing Julia by saying “Ahh you like me“ because, in fact, they more than like each other. The chemistry is crazy and Julia is freaking out. We don’t know YET why she is so closed off to love. She tells Dean a lot about her past but not the WHY never again. Something happens that sends Julia running for the hills. But my future baby daddy Dean won’t give up. OMG I was SWOONING at him and all l the stuff he does……the texts, the Christmas gift……Yes full on love with this man.
When Julia’s past comes back to haunt her, Dean is freaking out because he needs his woman and he needs her ASAP!!!
I seriously can’t tell you how much I loved this character but I gotta tell ya…baby brother Bentely’s book….it looks like it is going to be a good one too…..

Despite the curve balls thrown at him throughout his childhood, Barrett Kenner is now a successful musician. The only thing missing is romance.
Ivan Romanov killed a man to save his sister’s life. Although he has served his time, Ivan’s past left him with baggage far heavier than the meager belongings he carries out of prison.
Barrett clings to the memory of a fervent kiss, a kiss that Ivan tries to pretend meant nothing. When the two men finally accept their feelings for each other, life should be smooth sailing, but the past still lurks in the shadows.
Can Barrett and Ivan protect their love and their lives, or will dangers from long ago be more than they can withstand?
**This is a male/male romance meant for ages 18+ due to adult language and adult situations.**
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
I loved how this book begins!! An “innocent” kiss turn both Barrett and Ivan’s worlds upside down. Then we see the couple plus Ivan’s sister, Lexi, corresponding for the next 10 years while Ivan is in jail for murder.
When the story starts, Ivan is dealing with life out of prison, his feelings for Barrett, his need to provide and protect his sister and can he survive outside of prison. We see Barrett wondering if Ivan will even remember THAT kiss or did it mean nothing to him. We see Lexi hoping to keep her best friend and brother in the house together through this new change in the living dynamic.
I loved Ivan. He is really confused because he shouldn’t feel the way he does about Barrett because he isn’t gay. However, he can’t hide his natural attraction to him either. He also can’t wait to revisit that kiss that help him through 10 years of prison.
Barrett and Ivan have chemistry. Initially it seems a little bit awkward because they BOTH want the other but fear a bit of rejection. When they finally admit their want and desire, Lexi says she is worried that Barrett will regret choosing Ivan since he has never experienced life or dating others. I was cracking up at the dates that they forced Barrett to go on just to prove that Ivan is HIS SOUL MATE. I also loved how Barrett made Ivan suffer through 5 dates of his own to prove to Barrett that Ivan did want him as well. Those chapters were great reading. The jealousy from Ivan cracked me up soooo much!!
As life is settling in for the 3, Ivan’s past resurfaces and there is a major plot twist and a big WHAT moment in the story. It helped Ivan realize that he will do anything for his family and his love Barrett. The epilogue was awesome and I love seeing the endings for the guys and for Lexi as well.
A.D. Ellis spends the majority of her days loving and wrangling two school-aged children and a husband before heading to the inner city of Indiana to teach a challenging group of alternative education students in grades third through sixth. Most days she hits the gym after school in hopes of running and lifting away the stress and headaches of the day before picking up her children and squeezing a whole day’s worth of loving and living into the too-short hours before bed. It’s no wonder Ms. Ellis lives for the slower, easier days she gets to enjoy on breaks from school.
Growing up in a small farming town in southern Indiana, A.D. is grateful to her mother for passing along the love of reading. With her nose constantly stuck in a book, Ms. Ellis became accustomed to friends and acquaintances snickering and shaking their heads at her love of reading.
A.D. never dreamed of being anything but a teacher, although there are certain times of the year when she laments her career choice. Ms. Ellis had a story idea floating in her head for about a year. After persistent prodding from a friend, A.D. put pen to paper and began writing her first story in October 2013. From that moment on, she was hooked. Taking the people and stories from her head and sharing them with readers is a scary, exhausting, rewarding, and fulfilling experience which A.D. plans to continue until there are no more stories banging around in her mind.
A.D. Ellis’ work can be found on both iBooks and Amazon. Please contact her on Facebook, Twitter, or her website.

Tonight proved our love is stronger than anything—the feelings and emotions all real.
The only light in the room is the burning fireplace, crackling across the way from the bed. I watch the orange and yellow flames mesh, regaining my bearings. Shay’s warmth on top of my chest is welcoming, helping me relax. I notice she’s been silent for a few minutes, and when I look down I’m met by her sleeping form.
Everything that has happened in the past twenty-four hours wore my girl out. But I’m more than happy just sitting here listening to her light breathing as she sleeps. She looks beautiful, like nothing in this world could disturb her. I want this moment to last forever. I want my time with her to last far past the time we are given here on earth. I don’t know if I believe in eternity, but she sure makes me hopeful that there will be one. She makes me feel like the day I was born only half of me entered the world while the other half of me waited with her and the day we met was the day I became complete again.
Lightly, I move the backside of my fingers down her cheek, and when my thumb makes it to her lips I graze the round edges. Remembering the way she kissed me back when I took away her virginity. Looking at her now, I feel a sense of completion. I’m not only falling, but in essence, also surrendering my heart, soul, and body for the chance to love someone.
This is the moment that changes a boy into a man. The moment one falls in love. Not only am I responsible for loving this woman, but I’m also now in charge of protecting her heart and honoring any promise I give her from here on out.
For women, virginity is the one thing that they give to someone that they’ve fallen in love with. Well, most women. The one thing they give away as a symbol of their love and commitment to their partner. But what virginity is to women, is what a heart is to a man. We save that shit with us until the right woman comes along to claim it. That’s when we then give it away, without a second thought or regret. Shayla took my heart, and I will never be able to get it back.
“Why are you looking at me like that?” Her voice is soft and laced in a sleepy rasp.
“You look beautiful when you sleep.”
She searches my eyes, seeing if I’m lying or hiding anything from her. Letting her gaze falter for a second she moves on, accepting my answer. She stretches before placing her head back on her spot above my heart.

Disappearing without a word, Eden Richardt fled from her naïve former life in Oregon to start anew in the Midwest. Being a morning radio show host, she’s got a lot going for her except finding someone to share her life with. In that aspect, no one seemed to compare to the one. Having absolutely no desire to step foot back in her hometown of Cottage Grove, her decision was swayed with an invitation to her high school reunion and solidified after receiving a letter from her first and only love from her past.
Living his life the best way he knows how, Baylor Jenkins spends his time running the family plumbing business, after giving up his dream to be an Architect, and raising his almost teenage daughter solely without the help of his ex-wife. In the back of his mind he knows something was missing from his otherwise enjoyable life. But that something was actually a someone who disappeared after graduation; a former best friend turned lover.
Locking eyes after fifteen long years raises deep emotions and unanswered questions:
What happened to make Eden run?
Could their love for each other still exist?
Or will their past time together be nothing more than a memory?
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
Ohhhhh 2nd chance romance…so sweet. I am really draw to those stores because doesn’t every one wonder at one point in their life about a lost love????
Eden loved her best friend Baylor for as long as she can remember. Too bad he never saw her that way. Or did he? On graduation night when love is on the cusp for our characters, Eden runs away?? WHAT!! It takes 15 years for her to return and face the past that she left all those years ago.
Eden is bound to face her past and see why it took Baylor 15 years to email her. Baylor is stunned stupid when he sees the love of his life but can’t believe she actually came to the school reunion. Dean, the couples last partner or third of the musketeers, is there to help the couple navigate through everything to find a way back to the other. When the reason for the big miscommunication is revealed…smh…someone was gonna get a big old throat punch for causing drama.
When Eden and Baylor rebound from the past and look to the future they are both scared to question it. She has to go home to Tennessee and he has to stay in Oregon. Again our couple is so scared that they don’t talk and so again heart ache happens but this time Baylor will not give up without a fight.
I am so freaking excited for book 2 because Dean will killing me in this book. He is so sweet and he loved Eden just as much as Baylor. I want him to find his true love and I guarantee a certain bestie hairdresser will give him a good run for his money!!!
