It’s time for more men and motorcycles in the latest from theNew York Times bestselling author of Reaper’s Fall

The club comes first.

I’ve lived by those words my whole life—assumed I’d die by them, too, and I never had a problem with that. My Reaper brothers took my back and I took theirs and it was enough. Then I met her. Tinker Garrett. She’s beautiful, she’s loyal, and she works so damned hard it scares me sometimes . . . She deserves a good man—one better than me. I can’t take her yet because the club still needs me. There’s another woman, another job, another fight just ahead.

Now she’ll learn I’ve been lying to her all along. None of it’s real. Not my name, not my job, not even the clothes I wear. She thinks I’m nice. She pretends we’re just friends, that I’ve still got a soul . . . Mine’s been dead for years. Now I’m on fire for this woman, and a man can only burn for so long before he destroys everything around him.

I’m coming for you, Tinker.

Soon.

TWINSIE DEB’S REVIEW

Reaper’s Fire by Joanna Wylde
Gage & Tinker
EMOTIONALLY DRAINING, BUT OH SO DAMN GOOD
5 Heart wrenching STARS

Trust me when I tell you… this book will not be what you think it will be. It’s not a typical MC book. It’s not a normal romance. It’s not gonna make you feel all oooie and gooie. Now, let me tell you what it will do. It’ll make your heart leap out of your chest. It’ll take you from the grandest emotions to the most disturbing. And it will make your heart soar with completion.

Tinker has moved back home to Hallies Falls to start her life over after leaving her husband and coming home to help take care of her Dad after her Momma passed away. Tinker is such a complex character. She’s this little spitfire that at first I thought was a total push over. Maybe she was before we met her, but by God she’s anything but now. I love how she handles the “soon-to-be” Ex, always had a comeback for anything he said or did. She made me laugh out loud more times than I can count. Although she’s struggling with her own demons, she never waivers on taking care of her Dad, her friends, and her customers. I love this woman!

Gage is in town to infiltrate the Nighthawks MC to find out what’s muddled with operation and who’s behind the dilemma. He has to pretend to date the MC president’s sister Talia in order to get close to crew… Holy fucking hell… I wouldn’t wish that cuntcake on my worst ememy. In the interim, Gage is falling for his landlord Tinker, but can’t do anything about it for fear of blowing his cover. Auoy Vey Joanna, you really know how to kill us with your words.

The supporting character cast is pretty hefty. Oh ya know all the Reaper boyz and all. Picnic cracked me up every time he had a chat with Gage. Always ripping on each other and crackin’ jokes. Carrie is Tinker’s BFF one of the funniest peeps I’ve read in quite some time. I wish I could go out with them for “manis, pedis, and drinkies.” Everyone needs a friend like Carrie! As for this Talia bitch… this woman reminds me of Glenn Close in Fatal Attraction. Seriously, this chick is certifiably insane. Every mention of her name I’d shutter. No joke!

Now all while this shit is all going down with Gage, the MC, Tinker, Talia, and the gang there are wild fires burning in Washington and headed to Eastern Washington while the whole story is going on. As a survivor of a house fire I can’t tell you how many times I cried my eyes out just thinking about these people having to evacuate and come back to nothing. I walked away from my house fire with the clothes on my back so I know what it means to “lose everything.” I loved that Jo added that into the story. It made it that much more meaningful. Thanks Jo!

So, to wrap this long ass review up… This story is everything I needed. I felt the emotion and anguish in bones. The characters were phenomenal, even the dreadful ones. The storyline pulled at my heartstrings and left me feeling full of love and hope. The dialogue flows and the pacing is perfect. I felt like I was a resident of Hallies Falls for godsakes… Great story Jo. I’ll never forget it!
