Six

I had a one-night stand. It wasn’t my first, but it would be my last.

A gun to the head.

A trained killer.

A deadly conspiracy.

Kidnapped and on the run, my life and death is in the hands of a sadist captor who happens to be my one-night stand. Armed with countless weapons, money, and new identities, the man I call Six drags me around the world.

The manhunt is on and Six is the next target. Can we find out who is killing off the Cleaners before they find us?

Two down, seven to go.

When it’s all over he’ll finish the job that dropped him into my life, and end it.
Stockholm Syndrome meets bucket list, and the question of what would you do to live before you died. The questions aren’t always answered in black and white. Gray becomes the norm as my morals are tested.

Death is a tragedy, and I’ll do anything to stay alive.

Are you ready for the last ride of your life? Six has a gun to your head—what would you do?

This isn’t a love story.

It’s a death story.

**Due to the dark and explicit nature of this book, it is recommended for mature audiences only as some scenes may be particularly disturbing.**

Goodreads

I purchased this book.

So I am going to start this by saying this book might not be for everyone.  There is some possible Dub Consent in a scene in the beginning of the kidnapping….Its a bit dark in that she is kidnapped and he is telling her daily she is going to be killed once she has served her purpose…..Now on a scale of itty bitty dark to Holy Sweet Baby Jesus, I would say it is on the lower side of the scale BUT I enjoyed a few pretty dark novels (Aleatha and CJ) so again it your perception of dark.  But I will say there wasn’t any graphic and hard to read scenes if that makes any sense.

So can I say Six…Yes you can Stockholm me any day of the damn week!!  GOD LAWD this assassin is something else.  I just needed to get this started by addressing the holy hotness, arrogant factor of the main character.

Paisley/Lacey is just a typical girl doing her thing when she finds out the sexy one-night stand is now her kidnapper.  Was that his original plan? No but he just can’t seem to part with her especially since she has information he is in need of.

This book starts off so fast in the beginning which keeps the pages turning.  Then it slows downs and we are Paisley dealing with the aftermath of being caught and attracted to her kidnapper.  I mean who lusts after their kidnapper?? (Uhm, I would if it was Six too!!)  The two begin this push and pull of control.  He is always pushing her to let her know he is the one who will decide the day she dies but she is also pushing him more and more each day because…GASP….does he actually have feelings for her??

When the story slows down we are finding out more and more about Six…like WTF is he doing killing people???  We are also seeing our girl become more and more self-assured and ready to take on her death day.

We get to meet a cast of characters…AKA all Six’s killing buddies…and Five is so much of my future snuggle buddy.  I mean come on he is Five!! He is such a shit starter with Six and helps Lacey realize there is MORE there besides what Six is always telling her regarding how he feels.

The plot of the story is great.  We are trying to figure out why the assassins are being taken out.  What is happening and why are Six’s friends in danger.  I loved the story and will want to read more from this cast or characters.  The last chapter I had a little bit of a tear in my eye because…well yeah…but I absolutely love the story!!

K.I. Lynn is the USA Today Bestselling Author from The Bend Anthology and the Amazon Bestselling Series, Breach. She spent her life in the arts, everything from music to painting and ceramics, then to writing. Characters have always run around in her head, acting out their stories, but it wasn’t until later in life she would put them to pen. It would turn out to be the one thing she was really passionate about.

Since she began posting stories online, she’s garnered acclaim for her diverse stories and hard hitting writing style. Two stories and characters are never the same, her brain moving through different ideas faster than she can write them down as it also plots its quest for world domination…or cheese. Whichever is easier to obtain… Usually it’s cheese.
