Tell us your name and then a bit about yourself.

Hi! My name is Mary Martel. I’m an author who writes about witches with lots of boyfriends, big kitty cats, outlaw bikers, and a badass bitch who knows how to use a gun. In my free time I like to read, play around with makeup while pretending I don’t suck at it, and watching horror movies with my crazy beautiful family.

Where is your favorite place to write and what food must be present?

I have a bench that’s outside that is my favorite place to write. But only in the summer because I live in North Dakota and it is currently a frozen tundra outside.

What are you favorite things about attending signings?

Meeting new people and getting to see the one’s I’ve been lucky enough to meet before.

What author would you love to meet (Who is your unicorn author)?

I get to meet Brandy Slaven this year at WOTR and I am so excited about it because she’s one of my favorite people ever. But Laurell K. Hamilton would be my Unicorn.

What author would you love to write with?

Brandy Slaven. She just gets me.

What is your favorite memory so far as an author?

Receiving fan art from one of my readers that’s of their favorite character in one of my books. I framed it and have it up in my office.
