My name is RB Hilliard. I published my first book in 2014 and am about to publish my 14th! I live in Charlotte, NC with my husband, two teenagers, and dog named Oscar. I like food, red wine, chocolate, music, and BOOKS!
When you are writing, what are some go to’s that you needs? IE Foods to eat, noise level, place to sit.
I have a comfy chair in my office I like to curl up in while I write. I find that I write best with little to no outside noise. I also find that I write best while caffeinated.
What are you favorite things about attending signings?
Getting to hang out with the readers as well as meeting other authors!
What author would you love to meet (Who is your unicorn author)?
I’m a HUGE paranormal fan. I would love to meet JR Ward, Patricia Briggs, DB Reynolds, Shannon Mayer, Ilona Andrews, Amanda Bouchet, and so on!
When you are writing, do you have a consistent schedule where you write every day at the same time or are you a sit and go on different days to get it done kinda person?
I write while my kids are in school – so from around 8 am – 3:15 pm are my normal hours. I also write on one of the two weekend days.
What is your favorite memory so far as an author?
The first time a reader messaged me to say how much she loved my books. (and every time since then)
Do you have a book that is your most prized possession? What is it and why is it so amazing?
My favorite books are the ones signed by my author friends. They sit on my special bookshelf in my office and I love each and every one of them.
