Bishop (The Protectors Series) Book #15

Witch hunter and new VC Warrior, Bishop Valentino, takes pride in his duties, both past and present. Never once has he doubted his past as a witch hunter. That changes when a beautiful, independent witch occupies his mind more than he’s comfortable with.

Helping his new brothers of the VC keep all the Dragonfly Coven safe from the diabolical warlock, Orjyll, is Bishop’s number one priority. When that priority begins to shift and his focus is pulled away, his allegiance to the brotherhood is at risk.

Saving the world is something Bishop and the Warriors tirelessly do every day. But keeping witches safe is something new for Bishop, and if they fail and the Grail women fall to what the Fates bestowed on them many years ago, Hell on Earth could come swiftly.

To lose the epic battle between good and evil is not an option. Bishop has to find balance between his oath to the brotherhood and his heart. If not, life as he knows it will change forever.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I finished this book and had to sit and think about how I would rate it.  I was a little confused because I never have trouble rating these books…mainly because they are all amazing IMO and that is what this blog post is about.

I have loved Bishop and the chemistry between him and Bonnie.  But in the Warrior Wedding when they kissed and the sparks were flat, I was like WTF??  What is happening??  Are we getting a new more amazing person for Bishop?  Who can be more amazing then Bonnie??? Because sweet baby Jesus she might be my favorite female in the series!!!  Her sass and fire plus ridiculous comedy….that is a win in my book.

Then we find out why the kiss was so flat and I was like GUUUUURL Bonnie you don’t mess with a Warrior that way….LOL.   But I THINK the initial set up with them was a little slower then and the building of the transition was also a bit slower….the transition reference you gotta read because I am not about to spoil anything ya’ll.  So because of that it seemed a lot slower of a book.  Teresa’s book are generally action packed from moment to moment.  I am not saying that is a bad thing but I wasn’t expecting it.

After the story picks up and we know what is going to happen, I was bucked in and READY ‘TA GO.

I loved the dynamic of Bishop and Bonnie.  The witch and the witch hunter plus I loved the memories he can give her of her mom.  That in itself is something not everyone can do or would do for her.

The final scenes of the book were intense, and I was a bit worried for a few seconds reading the book because I wondered what was going to happen.  Seeing Sloan Murphy lose his shit was kinda hawt as hell too.  Who knew???

All in all once I sat down and thought about it, I really loved the slower build of the book.  I loved seeing Daniel and learning more about his talents.  I am so damn ready for Raven and Charger to get a book.  She is a fierce Protector and she is going to make him do a whole lot of begging to get back in to her bed!!
