Scoring the Player (Indianapolis Eagles #2)

Cocky, man whore, player…. Those are all ways I have been described by the media and countless women. Are they accurate? Possibly. But, that’s all I let the media see of me, Brian Kelly, defensive player for the Indianapolis Eagles Hockey team. I have no intentions of settling down and changing the media’s perception of me. I can’t tell if women are after me for my bank account, the status symbol of being with a professional athlete, or if they really want me for me. Then I meet her. The one woman who doesn’t let my charm affect her or cause her to jump directly into my bed. Can I possibly change my ways and settle down?

Grounded, selfless, giving…Those are all the ways my family and friends have described me. Are they right? Possibly. But, I’m so much more, and need some passion and excitement in my life. My best friend is moving on and I want that someone special to share all that life has to offer. Let it be known that I, Kinley Williams, want the right someone special. So why did he have to crash into me? The one man who is so clearly wrong for me. Then again, he doesn’t seem like anything the tabloids claim him to be. So is he really all that wrong?

Review by Twinsie Angie

I purchased this audio.

When I read book 1, I was so excited about Kinley and Brian. These two had amazing chemistry and they just seemed to fit together so perfect. We could see the sparks starting in book 1, but I was glad I got to witness then firsthand myself.

Kinley is 30 and ready to settle down. She is over the clubs and one-night stands. She wants MORE. When her best friend Becca rekindles a flame with her one true love Kinley meets his new friend and teammate Brian. They chemistry is amazing, but Brian is ready to give her all his attention. She is worried that his man-whore ways will pop up, but she is so pleasantly surprised they continue to form a bond even when he returns to Indiana.

Brian doesn’t even think settling down is in the Cards and then WHAMP he meets Kinley. He thinks she is beautiful, but her sass and spirit draw him in. He is going above and beyond to show her she is more than just a one-night stand.

The couple remain friends mainly because Kinley is afraid to let him in 100%. But after coming to Indiana to be there to see Becca get engaged to Scott, she is all in with Brian. I LOVED the tory of these two. They have a quick whit and sexy chemistry. When we see them falling in love, it was so amazing. When the plot twist happens, my heat is broken. These two have over come so much and now the thought of THIS pushing a wedge between them…..sad eye time. However, seeing Brian step up and push Kinley and also give her space to see what she has and what he will do for THEM….dreamy sign time.

Now I have no clue who book 3 Is but I am so hoping its Murph and Maidson!!!

The audio for the book was really enjoyable. I will say I enjoyed the woman’s voice in this narration vs the woman’s voice of the first book. I am not sure if the males voice changed but I did like listening to each one.
