Every thirty years on the anniversary of Mae White’s suicide, the young men of Rickdale succumb to grisly deaths. Tales circulate of a beautiful hitchhiker in a white dress wandering up and down the road by Rickers Creek, crying for her babies and looking for a ride home. Those who pick her up are never heard from again.

The last time Mae showed up, Jennifer Archer’s high school sweetheart disappeared. Now, she fears her son will meet the same fate. She’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep him safe, even sacrifice herself, but it’s not Jennifer the White Lady wants.

Thirty years have passed, and the anniversary falls on a full moon. The Lady in White wanders again, and this time, she brought reinforcements. All the young men Mae collected over the years roam the night, and Jennifer must face her long lost lover. Can she save them both before they disappear for good?

Review by Kelly

O.M.G! You have to read this! Urban legends all start from something real, or at least that is what everyone says. The legend of Mae White is one that fascinated me so much that I was absolutely consumed with this book until the very end. From the stories of why Mae committed suicide to other theories on why she came back and haunted Rickdale, to it being made up completely by the skeptics….all of this will keep you on your toes. It almost makes you feel bad for the people who truly believe in Mae White’s hauntings because you feel like they are going crazy and there is nothing you can do to help them. As the anniversary approaches and things start feeling off in the town you will start to get goosebumps because you just KNOW something is about to happen. And boy, when it does, it will have you feeling all kinds of ways about the book and the ending. The author did an amazing job writing this story. I am hooked and this author has a new fan!
